I can appreciate enthusiasm as yours, my friend, but be realistic  - while there is no doubt you have shaped a few people into better RPers, you won't change much around single handedly. If you actually want to see "shitters" improving, gather your tribe of RP wizards and push for an improvement that's not around 0,5% in regards to RP quality. Please remember that people come and go daily, and while you shape one? 5 others like him have already joined and are doing "/me is mafia" around Vinewood in a black suit and a "gold Rollie". Please.

If you just showed me the transcript of this conversation and asked where it came from, I wouldn't honestly guess GTA World for a moment. You've been unable to discuss any point raised to you without resorting to "pals" and "it's a fact that I'm a good roleplayer", barring a few attempts to bicker about irrelevant stuff like who's from LS-RP and who isn't (seriously man, just go over staffies' pages, they've practically all come from LS-RP).

in 2016 I was dogshit, in 2017-19 I made the faction-scene the best in quality it ever saw. Fact. I don't wanna boast about how good I am or where I was on that community though, it was just for my point. But someone needs to do it.

Seriously though, my point (and I stick by this) is that people need to advocate for this stuff. This community is great but it can be better, and it starts from the top. Administrators should do a better job of enforcing quality pertinent to character development and overall character arcs.

I still really just fail to see why it's a problem. So long as nothing conflicts (IE something being mayor or chief of PD, or leader of the biggest gang in a previous server obviously cannot carry that over). A big problem the server currently has is people constantly throwing characters away due to complete lack of fear for their lives, so they make a new one every couple of days. Way I see it, people with commitment to keep characters for so long, if it's done right, should be allowed to.

If you'd do more than read your own posts, you'd discover that this notion of development and arcs being the primary or sole determinant of 'quality' really isn't that good or quality at all was already tackled like, six pages ago?
