He graduates among the top of his class, as a member of the Student Union and with an offer on the table to work at Pillbox Hill Medical Center as a Licensed Practical Nurse before he even graduated. Desmond's foster family back home are the first to know, and Auntie Celeste, the person who made it possible can't contain her tears over the phone as Desmond's stepbrothers and stepsisters celebrate.
