Everything being a bar

not really a valid point when interiors are mostly custom on gtaw

you wouldn't try and turn a bank into a strip club or a car dealership into a casino.

I think this is a common issue on GTA World. There's many places that will turn into something else and it always seems kind of weird to me.

When the city has tons of different locations to fit a business, why choose something completely unrelated and turn it into something it's not?

I totally understand outside of LS because your choices are very limited but in LS we seem to try even harder than the business outside of LS to squeeze in wherever we want and wherever we can.

You are definitely failing to come up with a proper comparison as fast food place can easily be turned into bars, unlike dealerships to casinos, we didnt change the interior at all and from an IC standpoint, alot less can be spent trying to change the exterior rather than the interior. So when the interior perfectly fits a bar, I see no issue putting it in the work.

But why does it make sense to you to take a business that is, on the outside, intended for one thing and turn it into something completely different on the inside? Sure, you can do whatever the fuck you want with the right legal documentation and licensing. But it doesn't make sense from a roleplay perspective.

Playing devil's advocate. Not justifying it, but there are actually tons of places in the United States that do things like this. Generally its more themed places like Speakeasy type bars, but I've personally been to restaurants/bars that were in old library buildings, old theaters, etc. where the outside looks completely different than what it is being used for. It's not unheard of.

Now if the establishment is actually selling fast food or is a coffee joint and then tries to pass off as a legitimate cocktail bar at the same time? That's where I draw the line. Using the interior for something that doesn't match the exterior? Eh. I can live with that.

But at the same time, are these places still signed as the public library, or local theater? Or do they have signs depicting them as a bar or restaurant?

Now I understand the limitations we have regarding this in GTA 5, but doesn't it irk you a little if you see a building that is, on the exterior, advertised as one thing but on the interior it's something completely different? To me it's a lack of care or attention to the detail of an authentic business.

There's two bars where I live that still have old signs out front. You wouldn't even know they were there if you didn't know what you were looking for. But at the same time, that's the theme they were going for. In reality, businesses would be able to remodel the sign but as you said, game limitations here make that impossible. Sure it bothers me a little for immersion, but I'd say suspension of belief is the best course here. There are a lot of businesses and a limited amount of places to run them realistically. Having to occupy a building that may have a different sign out front is a necessary evil in this case. If we all stuck to the exteriors, there would only be lore based businesses running in those locations and it would limit the choices people have to open their own business. Just one of those things we have to live with in a role play server.

McDonalds sell beer in a lot of europe nations, but not the US. afaik.

Ive never seen a fast food restaurant that sells alcohol in the US at least not in my state. The only one is Taco Bell Cantina and they have to go though the process to get a bar license from the city so those are far and few between.

Overall there could be a few fast food restaurants with alcohol but it's not common and not worth the hassle usually.

Coming from country with a world record (bad one) in Youth Drinking, not even Denmark has alcohol offered at Fast Food joints, unless it's your hipster burger place w. some fancy crafted IPA with a long name about a dragon doing a dog.

But back on topic, it makes no sense a place that started out as a fastfood joint, and is a fastfood joint lore-wise should be a blackjack club. Want something new? Ask for a business move, so someone else that might actually want to RP a fast food joint can get it.

Else I'd like to be one of the first to visit Club Burgershot!

What makes you think the place even started out as a fastfood joint on gta w? Considering how long the mapping have been there, and the script for the business I'm pretty sure that it's made to be a fancy restaurant / bar here. I get the argument that everyone is serving beer and stuff, but honestly there's cafés open at lore gym locations, restaurants at café spots which is the same. And since you can't remap the outside of the business, I think it's unavoidable to have interiors that doesn't match the exteriors signs and so on, which is okay in my opinion, as far as the size matches.
