Ashe Komeiji struggles to adapt to the busy city surroundings. Faced with a life crumbling before her, she is abandoned by her best friend and neglected by her current boyfriend, Michael. Without a purpose in the city, she turns to wandering the streets and she soon meets a best friend in homeless wanderer Lowell Cuthbert when she attempts to take her own life. Her life is turned further upside down when she finds out unexpected and life changing news on the same day as a job interview with the local Fire Department. With her ailing mental health holding on by a thread and ongoing struggle to adapt to a life alone in a big city, she turns to an unlikely friend in local Firefighter Jonathan Fjellhol for comfort.
