I can see that we all have multiple perspectives on this matter. However, we can't neglect the fact that the current regulation and rules are a close minded approach towards "business" itself. It's a matter of incentivizing (not limiting) realistic business protrayal. Having a criteria made for multiple scripts like mentioned be @StoneFire, we can see that any business could find good use of this for a well rounded company or business. If some of you are against seeking that, I don't know what the argument there may be aside from something irrational. It's a matter of having an approriate criteria and regulation (as always, with everything in the server) that businesses don't abuse the scripts. Reason why longevity and historical proof of RP should be a category in the criteria. In real life you don't see these limitations. The purpose of having a mechanic script is to give monetary sense to the action, instead of paying for a service. You're obviously doing it to reduce expense, and perhaps diverse those extra profits to expanding office staff, mechanics, bonuses etc.

I do believe that to make one of these suggestions, the group that will be affected should gather up and reach a conclusion to give a concrete suggestion over a matter. This way we can all together help the server be a better experience.

All this will do is take away RP from other players/other businesses.

How? In the terms of imports it's about things not provided by other businesses so how is it taking from something that don't exist?
And when it comes to in house mechanics it provide a different experience to some else and allows someone to specialize in something outside the standard garage procedure.

So you're basically asking a company to have multiple scripts themselves rather then go to an existing businesses and set up IC contracts? How is that not removing RP from others?

You can have in house mechanics anyway.

It's a real life situation. Speaking of logistics companies as an example. They have the ability to maintain their trucks, with the objective of reducing expenses. However, this would just bring a /very/ small portion of the mechanics to the trucking sector (in this scenario). Reducing demand that would be non-existent realistically speaking. You're not reducing RP, you'd be just moving the RP elsewhere.

*Does a circle argument coming to the same conclusion as his previous reply.*
It also removes rp from us not being able to portray a company with multiple functions?
I used to work for a company where we both supplied customers with solutions for their projects, as well as having our own garage and mechanics, and it was not even a huge company with only about 20 trucks of various configurations.

Sarcasm isn't appreciated, no need for that.

Why not just have your mechanics do the RP anyway?

Garages are under leases for a reason. This could so easily be power gamed and just not RPed.

To give monetary reward to those doing the actual RP. It's a matter of making the action make sense. Of course having precise RP should be a criteria when given the script. But it is also a matter of making financial sense.
