11) Property Destruction

Destroying another player's property requires approval from an in-game administrator. This only applies to real estate such as apartments, houses and businesses.

Destroying a faction property or any arson in a faction v. faction setting should be approved through Faction Management in the respective requests section: https://forum.gta.world/en/forum/844-ifm-requests-reports/

E.G.

  • Setting a house on fire without the approval from an administrator.

Updated in regards to FM's involvement in arsons.

9.1 Property Mapping Commission Fees

As a standard, mappers are not to charge any more than the total price of furniture + 150% of total furniture worth as payment for any project. To avoid any mishaps; players and mappers alike are urged to come in contact with anyone from Property Management - be it a mapper or an admin - for assistance and guidance on what is considered an acceptable rate. There is rarely a reason to charge any extravagant amount over the furniture worth. This is to be regulated by Property Management so any mapper attempting to charge more than 150% of furniture worth should be reported to Property Management admins.

Example: Furniture worth is $100,000. The mapper could only charge the service a maximum amount of $150,000 for their work excluding furniture cost. The total cost to the client would be $250,000 because that includes furniture costs.

Exceptions to this rule may be made in rare circumstances. To request an exception, submit a forum PM including the property ID, proposed rate and furniture worth (estimate if not completed) to @jesscatXD.  She will discuss this with the team and get back to you.

*Placing random, expensive furniture and hiding it in places will result in admin punishment within the admin's discretion.

10) Robbing and Scamming

It is only permitted to /rob another player for the items they have on themselves at the current time. It is only permitted to scam another player for a maximum of $75,000. It is not allowed to scam properties. These include and are limited to vehicles and real estate. There are no limitations on drug and weapon scams, or on loans (a namechange / CK during an active loan will lead to your money being removed and given back to the loan contract owner). This applies to both scamming a player for a drugs or weapons and for scamming a player for money off a drug or weapon scam.

Large and sophisticated business robberies must be approved by IFM. They can be requested through the IFM requests board with the following information:

- Target of the robbery.

- Goal of the robbery (money, revenge, etc).

- List of participants. - Plan of action (entry, getaway, etc).

Smaller and "in the moment" robberies can be conducted without an approved IFM request. Admin permission and supervision is still required for these, /report to get it. Example: Robbing an open 24/7.

When selling a house which is linked to a garage, you must also sell the garage to the house's buyer.

Chaining robberies on your character unless adequately roleplayed will be considered unrealistic and a poor portrayal of a character, so be careful If you choose to go that way.

E.G.

  • Going door to door to each house and/or vehicle to check if it is unlocked is considered chain robbing.
  • Consistently robbing people in a very short period of time. Players should wait a while before attempting this again.

You may use /breakin to rob any property. Usage of /rent to access the inventory is forbidden and bannable. /breakin is accepted by administrators only if they have the time for it as it requires 20 minutes of active monitoring, which might be difficult to do during peak hours. If you just want to roleplay a regular property robbery without stealing real items, you may use /robprop [In development]

Players may not rob or scam money from other players while in jail, Players may only rob or scam items while in the jail. All cash is roleplayed as commissary funds and not physically with the player.

E.G.

  • You rob a player and force them to pay you more money than they have on them.
  • You scam a player for their vehicle.

Unrealistic portrayal of robberies and characters which exist only to conduct robberies is bannable, for example:

- Driving into the county as a gang member in South Central to conduct a robbery in Paleto Bay for no sensible IC reason (e.g. your path has not realistically led you to Paleto Bay for any discernable reason, this would be a significant drive on an IC basis)

- Driving on a dirt bike with masks, not communicating, but pulling up to any pedestrian to conduct a gun-point robbery at drive-by - Chaining roberies unrealistically, or unrealistic portrayal of a crime spree

- Moving from robbery to robbery and demanding victims move as quickly as possible, or clearly conducting robberies simply to gain OOC assets rather than for roleplay

- Conducting robberies with overuse of force (such as 4 assault rifles) or for the purpose of provoking conflict (seeking to rob people in a gang neighborhood for an excuse to shoot them)

It is forbidden to rob anyone when :

- You're using a motorcycle / quad / ATV, these vehicles are fully forbidden for such roleplay unless previously approved by an administrator using /report

- You've baited the victim using an advertisement or the taxi script

- You're not using /rob to force the other party to show their items

- They're using a boat to perform an activity

You may /report to perform robberies on situations involving the previous bullet points

With regards to the new Economy update, players may not rob/force other players to withdraw money from the bank or an ATM. Debit cards/credit cards also fall into this subject. For those who own properties that have cash within the cashbox or generally within the property inventory, must have defined in the stash-info where the cash is, or the administrator handling the report may freely come up with an area the cash is in. Robbing a business also falls under the stash-info rule. However, any cash left in the "cashbox" will now represent the cash register. Players may steal a cash register and whatever money within the "cashbox" will be issued to the robber.

13) Abusing a Purchase Firearm License (PF License)

Admins stay out of the way of the distribution of legal firearms or ammunition unless one of the following happens:

  • a player makes a character just to sell PF weapons, but does nothing else on that character;
  • a member of an illegal organization uses PF weapons to supply their group rather than making IC contacts for illegal weapons;
  • the sale of PF weapons (or weapons in general) has OOC involvement, rather than being a strictly IC process.
  • the sale of PF weapons happens without FM approval for your character to actively use the license for the sale/providing of weaponry to others.

Edit to reflect changes made within FM to try and combat the PF abuse we have seen as of late. If you now wish to use PF weapons for other means, contact the FM Team through the link above with a reasoning.

9) Offensive Roleplay

The purpose of this rule is to find a balance between allowing players to be comfortable when playing while still allowing some freedom during roleplay. The roleplay that is restricted under this rule falls under the broad term of "Offensive Roleplay", but it does not mean that any roleplay that offends a player is not allowed.

 Offensive Roleplay includes the following;

  • torture;
  • dismemberment;
  • other roleplay that may disgust another player, for example a graphic description of an injury.

To do any of the roleplay listed above, it must be done with the OOC consent of all players involved prior to the roleplay being started.

Offensive roleplay must be conducted away from other players and areas where players are likely to stumble across it. If an admin deems a location too public, it can be considered a breach of the rule. It is the responsibility of the players participating in the offensive roleplay to try to keep it away from players that may be uncomfortable with witnessing it. Players knowingly entering an area where offensive roleplay is occurring are assumed to have consented for the purposes of this rule. An example would be entering a strip club or a location where they know a character is being tortured.

If a player is uncomfortable with the roleplay and they are a participant, they may request that it stops at any time.

If a player witnesses offensive roleplay and they do not wish to see it, they may remove themselves from the scene.

Examples:

  • torturing a player without making sure they are fine with participating in that kind of roleplay;
  • describing a gruesome injury in detail when someone arrives at a scene.

The following types of roleplay are not allowed to happen on the server at all:

  • cannibalism;
  • bestiality;
  • necrophilia;
  • paedophilia.
  • Rape roleplay is fully forbidden.
    • This also includes complaints, allegations, and any of the like when it comes to rape roleplay. This is to avoid possible scenes where this actually will be claimed to have had happened.

Sexual roleplay is covered in Rule 19.

Creation of notes are under your responsability : if sexual or offensive notes that you created are found by other players, this will be considered as offensive roleplay without permission given.

Edited in regards to rape roleplay to avoid possible scenarios in-game happening when we do not allow this type of roleplay to begin with.

12) Anti-Crime Zones

Spoiler

It is not permitted to commit crimes or to provoke players within crime free areas. However it is allowed to continue the crime if the roleplay was initiated somewhere else.

Crime free areas include the following locations:

  • Government buildings (such as police and fire stations, the prison and city hall).
  • Banks (ATM's not included)
  • Airport
  • Customization feature (the player is considered INSIDE the building)
  • Ammunation area

E.G.

  • Robbing a player at a bank.

In order to promote a more realistic environment, several parts of the map will have the level of crime in them restricted. These areas would realistically have a high police or security presence (eg. active patrol stations, airports, the subway system), heavily populated and covered by CCTV (the downtown area and tourist areas) and high levels of traffic (major intersections and highways).

Note: For the purposes of this rule, role-play is considered as "initiated" when the victim could reasonably be aware of the attacker's presence or starts reacting to it. Once this occurs, the victim cannot intentionally go to a No Crime Zone and expect protection via the rules.

Definition of Zones

  • No Crime Zone — any area in which crime is forbidden no matter what.
  • Restricted Crime Zone — any area where mugging or asportation (transporting a person from a location to mug them) cannot occur without clear permission being given by an admin beforehand. Other crimes in these areas, particularly crime that grabs attention such as shooting, are held to a higher standard. e.g; the burden is on the person deciding to shoot to prove that the situation could not have been done in a more secure location, or that the situation was pressing enough that it demanded immediate action. No other crimes are limited within this zone.
    • Restricted Crime Zones do not apply to scripted illegal factions with a historical claim to an area, such as a gang operating within their own neighborhood or neighborhoods they would realistically operate in based on their real life equivalent and in-character development. This should not be done excessively, however.
  • Neutral Zone — any area not covered by an anti-crime zone definition.

No Crime Zones are as follows:

  • All airports and airfields;
  • government buildings, such as the State Capitol, city halls and hospitals (medical centers not included);
  • banks, ATMs not included;
  • buildings belonging to law enforcement agencies, such as their headquarters, patrol stations, jails (see jail rules), Bolingbroke Prison (which is considered active IC) and training facilities;
  • Los Santos Fire Department buildings, such as their fire stations, headquarters, lifeguard tower and training facilities;
  • the subway system as a whole, but not including any tracks above ground;
  • NPC dealerships that are scripted in where you can buy cars brand new (player owned dealerships require admin permission to commit crime at);
  • customization areas, such as clothing stores and barber shops;
  • gun stores.

Note: In instances where there is a secluded area close to a No Crime Zone, e.g. an alleyway next to a bank, this is not covered by a No Crime Zone.

Restricted Crime Zones are as follows:

  • tourist areas which include Vinewood Boulevard, Galileo Observatory (including the parking area), the Vespucci Beach promenade (the paved area with storefronts that run the length of the beach) and the Kortz Center;
  • the University of San Andreas, Los Santos (ULSA) & Richman Hotel;
  • Downtown Los Santos (Pillbox Hill and Legion Square), with the border defined as east of the La Puerta Freeway, south of the Del Perro Freeway, north of Adams Apple Boulevard and west of Strawberry Avenue (alleyways and other discreet locations are not counted);
  • all freeways and highways, including the on-ramps and off-ramps, not including under them;
  • the immediate area and parking lots of gun stores, regardless of them being open or not;
  • Portola Drive and Little Portola (the pedestrianized zone where the single-player jewel heist occurs);
  • the entire dock/port area (Elysian Island/Terminal);
  • beaches connected to populated areas as well as their piers, parking areas and recreational areas (tennis courts, workout areas and skateboarding areas). This rule includes Vespucci Beach, Del Perro Beach, Chumash, Paleto Bay Beach (the border is in line with the town itself at the western-most point and ends where the beach ends on the east side). Other beaches are considered too remote and crime may freely occur there;

Note: These areas only restrict muggings or kidnappings without prior admin approval via /report, IC justification is required and will be asked for. Some areas require a lot more justification than others. Players who are discreet and creative are a lot more likely to be able to do more crime in Restricted Crime Zones. The intent of the rule is to prevent blatantly obvious crime from occurring on a regular basis. Players are also more likely to receive permission if they are open to facing additional consequences such as allowing investigators to have CCTV footage of the incident occurring despite no cameras being scripted.

Examples:

  • Initiating any situation within a neutral zone and attempting to flee into an anti-crime zone and expect protection or for the situation to cease, anti-crime zones do not protect on-going scenarios;
  • parking outside an ammunation and waiting for people to purchase PF guns to mug them;
  • attempting to hijack a vehicle in front of a police station without admin approval;
  • attempting to mug someone at the Los Santos International Airport or Elysian Island ports;
  • attempting to kidnap someone within a subway station;
  • attempting to mug someone at any beach within city limits.

10) Robbing & Scamming

Spoiler

Classifications:

  1. Mugging - taking or attempting to take anything of value by force, threat of force, or by putting the victim in fear. This is done on foot, no usage of vehicles. For example, people shouldn't be rolling up in a car/cars for a basic mugging. (/rob) & (/mug)
  2. Robbery - holding up a 24/7, a store, something that involves 'both' of the above. (/report)
  3. Burglary - breaking and entering and sometimes housebreaking, is illegally entering a building or other areas to commit a crime. (/breakins) (/arson)
  4. Scams - any form of deceitful roleplay, or fraud, in order to obtain something from another player.

10.1) Mugging

It is only permitted to /rob or /mug another player for the items they have on themselves at the current time, this does not require admin permission unless within a Restricted Crime ZonePlayers may not rob/force other players to withdraw money from the bank or an ATM. Debit cards/credit cards also fall into this subject.

Perpetrators of a robbery are expected to do thorough /me's of where exactly you are searching on the body of the person. You cannot make one long /me to search everywhere, it needs to be broken up and then asked in a /do if any items could be found.

Victims of a robbery are expected to roleplay what their robber would find based on the descriptions of the search performed on them accordingly. Only at the end of the roleplay surrounding the robbery, once the robber is done with roleplaying taking what they can take and finished with the presented search, is when the victim must /arob upon request of the robber. These following rules go forth for Law Enforcement as-well. Those being frisked by Law Enforcement, may only ask and present the command of /frisk after the RP is said and done.

It is forbidden to mug anyone when:

  • you're using a motorcycle / quad / ATV, these vehicles are fully forbidden for such roleplay unless previously approved by an administrator using /report;
  • you're using a rented vehicle;
  • you're using a vehicle in an unplanned petty mugging for quick cash, unless admin approved;
  • you've travelled miles away from your characters' residential anchor to mug someone;
  • you've baited the victim using an advertisement or the taxi script;
  • you're not using /rob to force the other party to show their items;
  • they're using a boat to perform an activity;
  • you may /report to perform robberies on situations involving the previous bullet points.

10.2) Robbery

Smaller and "in the moment" robberies can be conducted without an approved IFM request. Admin permission and supervision is still required for these, /report to get it. Example: Robbing an open 24/7.

Robbing a business must be approved via /report with a description of what is attempting to be robbed, this is for in the moment robberies that do not have excessive previous planning, e.g. /report We are a group of punks attempting to make some quick money, we want to try and stick up the open Vinewood 24/7 to rob the cash register.

Shoplifting without the demand of any items or cash, and purely for roleplay, does not require admin permission.

Robbing a business also falls under the stash-info rule. However, any cash left in the "cashbox" will now represent the cash register. Players may steal a cash register and whatever money within the "cashbox" will be issued to the robber.

Large and sophisticated business robberies must be approved by IFM. They can be requested through the IFM requests board here: https://forum.gta.world/en/topic/54778-ifm-—-requests-board-formats/ using the "Heist" format. E.g. a robbery on a casino or gambling oriented business requires IFM permission.

- Target of the robbery.

- Goal of the robbery (money, revenge, etc).

- List of participants. - Plan of action (entry, getaway, etc).

Examples:

  • attempting to hold-up a 24/7 or café without admin approval;
  • attempting to rob any open business without admin approval.

10.3) Burglary

You may use /breakin to rob any property, this submits a request to the administration team which you should include a brief description of your reasons. /breakin is accepted by administrators only if they have the time for it as it requires 20 minutes of active monitoring, which might be difficult to do during peak hours.

Anything that is not defined within /stashinfo can be described as anywhere by the handling administrator, e.g. in plain view on a table. This includes money and items alike.

For those who own properties that have cash within the cashbox or generally within the property inventory, must have defined in the stash-info where the cash is, or the administrator handling the report may freely come up with an area the cash is in.

If you have a key to a property that is not yours, and you are a tenant, you must still submit a breakin request to roleplay searching and taking items that are not yours. Motels are not included under this rule, leave items in a motel at your own risk as they can be taken by anyone.

Usage of /rent to access the inventory is forbidden and bannable. If you just want to roleplay a regular property robbery without stealing real items, you may use /robprop [In development]

You may use /vbreakin to rob any vehicle, this brings up a minigame for you to complete using a lockpick. You must roleplay breaking into the vehicle before or after beginning the minigame, but not when you are already within the vehicle. You may then use /hotwire to roleplay hotwiring the vehicle, this must be done before or after you use the command, but not when you have already driven away.

Examples:

  • entering an open house and forcing the occupants inside to comply with a burglary of their house or safe without an approved /breakin request;
  • getting a key to a property and clearing out the property inventory without an approved /breakin request;
  • submitting multiple /breakin requests for the same property or to get a faster response, this can result in a ban from breakins.

10.4) Scams

It is only permitted to scam another player for a maximum of $75,000. It is not allowed to scam properties. These include and are limited to vehicles and real estate. There are no limitations on drug and weapon scams, or on loans (a namechange / CK during an active loan will lead to your money being removed and given back to the loan contract owner). This applies to both scamming a player for a drugs or weapons and for scamming a player for money off a drug or weapon scam.

Examples:

  • offering to "look after" a vehicle and having it sold to you and refusing to return it when asked;
  • tricking someone into selling their property to you instead of giving you keys;
  • selling a house to someone and not giving them the attached garage.

10.5) General Robbing & Scamming

Chaining robberies on your character unless adequately roleplayed will be considered unrealistic and a poor portrayal of a character, so be careful if you choose to go that way.

Examples:

  • Going travelling door to door to each house and/or vehicle to check if it is unlocked is considered chain robbing;
  • consistently robbing people in a very short period of time. Players should wait a while before attempting this again;

Unrealistic portrayal of robberies and characters which exist only to conduct robberies is bannable, for example:

  • driving into the county as a gang member in South Central to conduct a robbery in Paleto Bay for no sensible IC reason (e.g. your path has not realistically led you to Paleto Bay for any discernable reason, this would be a significant drive on an IC basis);
  • driving on a dirt bike with masks, not communicating, but pulling up to any pedestrian to conduct a gun-point robbery at drive-by;
  • chaining robberies unrealistically, or unrealistic portrayal of a crime spree;
  • moving from robbery to robbery and demanding victims move as quickly as possible, or clearly conducting robberies simply to gain OOC assets rather than for roleplay;
  • conducting robberies with overuse of force (such as 4 assault rifles) or for the purpose of provoking conflict (seeking to rob people in a gang neighborhood for an excuse to shoot them);
  • attempting to kidnap someone for the sole purpose of mugging them.

2) Powergaming

It is not allowed to perform actions which would not be possible in real life either, this is not limited to roleplay through /me. It is not allowed to force actions upon another player. You are not allowed to roleplay a non-player character.

E.G.

  • Roleplay through a /me to lift up a truck.
  • Jumping from height and not roleplaying the consequences from your fall.
  • Roleplay through a /me to shoot a player with the result of the player ending up dead in the process.
  • Looting a stash without properly roleplaying its description (nor knowing about it)

It is mandatory to RP fear in situations/actions which you would usually refrain from doing realistically. Repercussions of your characters actions must always be considered, situations which result in death due to a lack of fear RP may result in a CK.

  • Drawing a gun to rob someone in the middle of the street/populated area.
  • Running off/drawing a gun while being aimed at.

Lack of fear roleplay or fear for your life in general may result in a permanent character kill.

Looting another character can only be done in realistic situations and time frames. Your characters life and safety must always be put before looting. Prioritizing looting over the need to escape or tend to wounds will be considered powergaming. The following are examples of powergaming while looting:

  • Looting characters after a shootout in a public space.
  • Looting characters before tending to injuries sustained.
  • Returning to a scene to loot someone after fleeing.
  • Looting bodies while Law Enforcement is present.
  • Looting without roleplay.

CCTV cameras have to be mapped in before they are considered present. Attempting to claim a camera exists when there is no item there is powergaming. OOC recordings can be used as the footage pulled from CCTV cameras, in the absence of OOC recording, players are able to challenge CCTV footage if they believe the recording party may have forgotten or falsified details.

  • If desync is suspected, the contesting party may provide a video of their own to look for any inconsistencies or consult a staff member to decide. This may be looked over if the desync is clear within the original recording provided.

  • Government building as well as server-owned stores (e.g gas stations, 24/7s, clothing stores) all have cameras by default, which law enforcement agencies have the capacity of acquiring.

  • When using OOC footage, players are expected to keep in mind which direction the cameras are pointing. "Dome cameras" are best specified in /stashinfo, otherwise an admin will have to decide on their own.

  • All state agencies and Government vehicles have dashcams. OOC recording rules apply to dashcam.

Property safes are supposed to remain visible at all time, you cannot hide them behind furniture.

Victims of a robbery are expected to roleplay what their robber would find based on the descriptions of the search performed on them accordingly. Only at the end of the roleplay surrounding the robbery, once the robber is done with roleplaying taking what they can take and finished with the presented search, is when the victim must /showitems upon request of the robber. These following rules go forth for Law Enforcement as-well. Those being frisked by Law Enforcement, may only ask and present the command of /frisk after the RP is said and done.

Those that are sending a location, chopping a vehicle or doing a physical action that requires a script command after, are required at all times, to roleplay first before doing the script command. Players should not for an example, send location to a friend, and then do the RP presented. Or for another example, you must show the RP first, before chopping a vehicle.

RP of injuries:

Players that are placed in the downed mode (wounded mode) with a headshot will be considered automatically dead. If you survive and are not placed in wounded/downed mode - you can RP the injuries not being as serious. This ruling comes into effect when you are hit in the head and are placed in the wounded/downed mode stage at any point of the shooting. For example, if you are downed and you have five leg shots, and only one head shot, as soon as you are in wounded/downed mode, you will be forced to PK.

If you are shot in the chest/neck and are placed in wounded/downed mode, you will have a rough estimate of five to ten minutes to live depending on if you receive adequate medical attention that is up to generalized medical standards. The final decision can be made by an administrator if there is a question whether or not you will be forced to PK or not. We understand at times it takes upwards of five minutes to begin the RP process, so we ask that players use common courtesy when being placed in downed/wounded mode. If the injuries are treatable and medical attention/medical aid is being given - players cannot force themselves to die in wounded/downed mode or they have the potential chance of being CK'ed.

Property safes are supposed to remain visible at all time, you cannot hide them behind furniture. Players may also not use entry/exit points that are not scripted in as a way to gain access to the property and or leave the property (i;e entry ways that are placed in as teleport markers and not GTA windows/doors that do not have a function by script, this also includes door-locks and building in your own "secret way" - you can request these teleports through PM requests. Do not build a secret space without prior approval from PM) Players are prohibited from building "secret rooms" that are not accessible by a teleport marker/door that is built in (for example; you cannot have a secret sliding wall that leads behind the house/into the foundation of the house to hide/store items)

10) Robbing and Scamming

It is only permitted to /rob or /mug another player for the items they have on themselves at the current time, this does not require admin permission unless within a Restricted Crime Zone. Players may not rob/force other players to withdraw money from the bank or an ATM.

  • you're using a motorcycle / quad / ATV, these vehicles are fully forbidden for such roleplay unless previously approved by an administrator using /report;
  • you're using a rented vehicle;
  • you're using a vehicle in an unplanned petty mugging for quick cash, unless admin approved;
  • you've travelled miles away from your characters' residential anchor to mug someone;
  • you've baited the victim using the taxi script
  • you've baited the victim using the advertisement script as either the buyer or seller
  • you're not using /rob to force the other party to show their items;
  • they're using a boat to perform an activity;
  • you may /report to perform robberies on situations involving the previous bullet points.

10.2) Robbery

Examples:

  • attempting to hold-up a 24/7 or café without any admin approval;

If you have a key to a property that is not yours, and you are a tenant, you must still submit a breakin request to roleplay searching and taking items that are not yours. Motels are not included under this rule, leave items in a motel at your own risk as they can be taken by anyone.

Examples:

  • entering an open house and forcing the occupants inside to comply with a burglary of their house or safe without an approved /breakin request;
  • getting a key to a property and clearing out the property inventory without an approved /breakin request;

Examples:

  • offering to "look after" a vehicle and having it sold to you and refusing to return it when asked;
  • tricking someone into selling their property to you instead of giving you keys;
  • selling a house to someone and not giving them the attached garage.

10.5) General Robbing & Scamming

Chaining robberies on your character unless adequately roleplayed will be considered unrealistic and a poor portrayal of a character, so be careful if you choose to go that way.

Examples:

  • travelling door to door to each house and/or vehicle to check if it is unlocked is considered chain robbing;
  • consistently robbing people in a very short period of time. Players should wait a while before attempting this again;

Unrealistic portrayal of robberies and characters which exist only to conduct robberies is bannable, for example:

  • driving into the county as a gang member in South Central to conduct a robbery in Paleto Bay for no sensible IC reason (e.g. your path has not realistically led you to Paleto Bay for any discernable reason, this would be a significant drive on an IC basis);
  • driving on a dirt bike with masks, not communicating, but pulling up to any pedestrian to conduct a gun-point robbery at drive-by;
  • chaining robberies unrealistically, or unrealistic portrayal of a crime spree;
  • moving from robbery to robbery and demanding victims move as quickly as possible, or clearly conducting robberies simply to gain OOC assets rather than for roleplay;
  • conducting robberies with overuse of force (such as 4 assault rifles) or for the purpose of provoking conflict (seeking to rob people in a gang neighborhood for an excuse to shoot them);
  • attempting to kidnap someone for the sole purpose of mugging them.

RED = Taken out, the parenthesis is just a side note. Sorry for the confusion!

21) Returning to RP after Injuries/Death

Players who have died and are looking to return to roleplay in the same location or with the same group must wait until the situation that resulted in their death has been concluded. (For example, all emergency services have left or surviving members of your group have concluded associated roleplay). Players are expected to use their best judgement to ensure they do not return to a situation when the direct ramifications of their death are not being dealt with. It is up to the player to excuse themselves from the situation immediately if they return while their death is still being actively investigated or any potential retribution is being discussed by their character's friends. Law Enforcement roleplayers should wait until the immediate hunt / on scene investigation for their killers has concluded before returning on duty and may not participate in any investigation or situations related to their death going forward.

In the event your character is shot or stabbed or sustains some sort of significant injury (regardless of whether or not you are put in injury mode) the player must roleplay treatment; whether this means being treated at a hospital (player/NPC) or with another player at a residence if the injuries are not too severe. The character must also wait either one full hour or until the roleplay surrounding your injuries are concluded prior to returning to a scene. These guidelines are the bare minimum, and if a character sustains major injuries (ie: four or five gunshots) they are encouraged to wait for a longer period of time. Law Enforcement characters should avoid returning to duty immediately after recovering from their injuries and must adhere to the one hour rule to prevent potential interaction with the situation that resulted in their shooting. Those within factions that have standardized "medical leaves" must RP the medical leave time that is presented by the faction. If you request 48 hours of medical leave for example, you shouldn't return three hours later.

The generalized reason for these rules are to allow players to keep a steady "immersion" for other players that might be involved in the same situations you were injured/killed in. In reality, if you are shot, you are usually in the hospital for several hours or days and then must work through a recovery phase where you usually have to "rehab" that body part to start working again. Players should use common sense on if they need a longer recovery then an hour OOC time. We don't want to restrict players from playing, as we can understand some only have limited time, however, it is important that we uphold a high standard of RP without interrupting a mass amount of time from a player where they might only be able to play for an x amount of hours.

15) Scrolling Weapons

It is allowed to scroll weapons without roleplay for the following weapons:

  • Small melee weapons. (Knife, Hammer, Bottle, Dagger, KnuckleDuster, SwitchBlade, Flashlight)
  • Small handguns. (Pistol, CombatPistol, Pistol50, SNSPistol, HeavyPistol, VintagePistol, Revolver, APPistol, StunGun, FlareGun, Glock, Sig Sauer, M&P 9 Pistols.)
  • Small thrown weapons. (Grenade, SmokeGrenade, BZGas, Molotov, Flare)
  • Other small guns that can be concealed easier on your body. (MachinePistol, MiniSMG, MicroSMG)
  • If you're actively being the target of shots in a firefight, pursuit, driveby, or the like, you may directly scroll your weapon without writing out the required /me roleplay line.

It is not allowed to scroll weapons without roleplay for the following weapons and situations:

  • Larger melee weapons that would be harder to conceal on your body. (Machete, Fire Axe, Crowbar, Battle Axe, Hatchet, Golf Club)
  • Scrolling a gun in a vehicle will require roleplay regardless of the weapon, this due to the lack of animations in these situations.
    • This also goes for immediately scrolling your weapon after exiting a vehicle, effectively avoiding the animation in the same way. This will require roleplay in the same way as it would within the vehicle.
  • Larger caliber and sized weapons such as rifles and shotguns will require roleplay before being scrolled. (PumpShotgun, SawnOffShotgun, DoubleBarrelShotgun, Musket/HuntingRifle, CompactRifle, Assault-/CarbineRifle, SMG, SMGMk2, CarbineRifleMk2 etc.)

E.G.

  • Player scrolls a Compact Rifle without roleplay in any situation.
  • Player scrolls a Pistol50 while in a vehicle as either the driver or passenger.

Added in an addition to weapons being scrolled upon exiting a vehicle. This was previously a way to avoid the animation and then the delay done by the animation. This will now require roleplay similar to it being scrolled within the vehicle.
