Suicide call ends in S.W.A.T. raid

LOS SANTOS: The Pink Cage Motel is located on the intersection of Hawick Avenue and Meteor Street, last night the motel and it's residents got to experience something truly out of the usual. The usually quiet area fell yesterday victim to a large turnout of emergency vehicles and personnel. This including the police departments cruisers, helicopters, tactical vehicles as well as the fire department's ambulances and fire engines.

Around midnight or just before, the 14th of January, a  call comes in to emergency services regarding a possible suicide at hand. The police department immediately contacted the medical units at the fire department and requested assistance with someone threatening to slit their own wrists. This was at the mentioned motel in Alta. The fire department reportedly responded with two units, RA-1 and RA-2, RA-1 functioning as ALS backup to the first unit. As said, a quiet code 2 response as to not spook the victim.  At this point, the police had not drawn their weapons, and was seemingly treated the situation as it was reported. They were stationed within the motel area parking lot and awaiting the arrival of the medical teams.

Eyewitnesses state that the police eventually decided to send two officers into the motel room where the possible call came from. Shortly after their entry, shots were heard from inside the room.  The fire department fell back to their ambulances, the officers back to their cruisers - clearly keeping a safe distance, reportedly they were now unable to establish contact with the two officers that had entered the premises. Several attempts were made with no success. It is not known whether or not they eventually gained contact with these two after this. It is still unconfirmed what happened to the officers - and we are waiting for an official statement from the Los Santos Police Department regarding the entire incident.

At this point, the situation has been changed completely. This is no longer a suicide call, and it is being treated as what we can only assume as a barricaded suspects situation. Backup calls go out to multiple more units, this time the tactical teams as well as the fire department's fire engine (Engine-1) was called up to the scene. According to sources at the fire department, they were asked to set up and get ready to tackle a structure fire upon arrival.  This including hydrants and supplies getting ready. Insider information tells the TVT that the police originally had plans to set the building or a structure ablaze to smoke the suspects out of the motel room. Hence the request for the structure fire as well as the fire engine. It is reported however that the tactic was changed, and the tactical teams decided to take out a portion of the wall with the help of firefighters, gaining access to the room that way. Eyewitnesses are not clear on what happened next, unaware of if the police used lethal force or such, we were unable to get a clear picture of what occured after the police entered the room. We are also unable at this time - to provide information on the amount of suspects and what they were possibly armed with.

As mentioned above, we were unable to gain any comments regarding the possible casualties or injuries of either the police department or the barricaded suspects. But we can report that the fire department seemingly were not asked to provide medical services to either police or the suspects, nor were seemingly any ambulances spotted or reported transporting any patients at all. The only use for the medical units was reportedly handling minor check-ups and minor indirect injuries due to perimeter breach or of the like. Reportedly, the entire situation was finalized at around 4 AM, the 15th.

UPDATE 16:30 - We have received an update from the Los Santos Police Department. We requested information from them and have been given the following reponse:
