oli.__
Judiciary of San Andreas "Upon the integrity, wisdom and independence of the judiciary depend the sacred rights of free men and women." History of the Judiciary of San Andreas Quote The Judiciary of San Andreas was established not long after the United States District Court for the District of San Andreas, which was established in the 19th Century. It's Chief Justice was Lucas Hoffman, Jr who was first nominated by United States President Millard Fillmore to a separate federal court before being moved around to the District Court for the District of San Andreas. Although functioning as a federal judge, Hoffman took a keen interest in the formation of the basic judiciary establishment of the State of San Andreas, and actively took an effort to ensure that it's early beginnings could be as smooth in transition into the wider court system of the nation. In 1870 with the full establishment of the Los Santos Police Department and the selection of it's first Chief of Police Jacob F. Gerkens, law and order in the State of San Andreas was slowly beginning to take real shape and the courts capitalized on it. With the intervention of Hoffman, the Superior Court of San Andreas was founded with it's first Chief Presiding Judge Robert Templeton who previously clerked for Hoffman upon recommendation. Soon after the establishment of the Superior Court, the Appellate Court of San Andreas, along with the Supreme Court of San Andreas was established as federal power in the growing state was decreasing. And it was these seeds of the early judiciary system, that still sticks to this day in the State of San Andreas.
