House Alarm Response Limitation

Factions Affected: LSPD - LSSD

During a house alarm activation, a faction should ensure that its faction members are informed that an emergency lights and sirens response to the house alarm is not permitted unless the following criteria is met;

  • A confirmation of a burglary in progress
  • An on-scene unit requests assistance
  • Shots fired and/or other immediate response is required

LEO Self-Transportation of Injured People

Date Enacted: 29/JAN/2023
Factions Affected: LSPD - LSSD - LSFD - SANFIRE

Due to realistic legal limitations, LEO entities are not allowed to self-transport injured people without explicit approval from LSFD Fire Metro. Instead, they should utilize the /sendtohospital script designed to NPC ambulances to certain scenes.

Non-LEO Taser Regulations

Date Enacted: 24/APR/2023
Factions Affected: ProTech - ULSA - SAGOV

Due to tasers being a powerful tool for legal factions in terms of usage against people, the following regulations have been established in order to prevent overuse and abuse.

  • The faction should ensure the following regulations are followed by it's members, instances of abuse should be handed directly by Faction Leadership.
  • A taser should only be deployed if a suspect is actively resisting or posting a viable threat.
  • If a person is actively engaged in a fist-fight or has recently been punched in the means of roleplay via an action, they may not deploy a taser to engage the person, instead, they should focus on either fighting back or roleplaying their injuries.
  • A taser may not be deployed on a person that has a firearm in their hands.

These general guidelines are to be followed in terms of taser usage. Tasers should be treated as a sort of final resolution tool in terms of resolving active situations. Keep in mind that tasers have a powerful effect against criminals, instantly forcing them to stop and collapsing them on the ground.

This, as a direct result, should be treated with respectable care during situations that may require taser deployment.

Legal Business Faction Corruption

Factions Affected: Legal Businesses

Legal Business Factions are allowed to determine their own corruption guidelines and standards, alongside this, they may determine if members get blanket corruption permissions or if they must apply for them.

The Faction Leadership may be corrupt, however, corrupt faction leadership must be subject to LFM & IFM approval and the faction may be subject to legislation and investigation by LEO entities, faction with total corruption permissions are not subject to LFM protection when LEO entities seek to shut the faction down due to corrupt acts.

The following restrictions apply to all corrupt acts;

  • The Faction Bank may not be utilized for illegal or corrupt acts, if the faction is receiving funds from Legal Faction Management.
  • Legal Faction Management may authorize probes or independent investigation entities if necessary.
  • Should a corruption arc be shut down by LFM or an LEO entity, the same corruption arc may not be resumed.

MDC Abuse & Corruption

Factions Affected: LSPD - LSSD - SADCR - SANFIRE - GOV - DAO - JSA

Factions which have access to the MDC must monitor it's logs and ensure members do not abuse their MDC permissions to access, alter or delete information that does not concern them on an IC basis.

Factions which have access to the MDC may determine their own corruption guidelines via MDC usage.

The following restrictions apply for MDC corruption;

  • Faction Members may not mischievously add, delete or modify MDC information even with corruption permissions.
  • Administrative MDC information, such as MDC logs, with the exception of phone trace logs, may not be leaked.
  • The MDC may not be used to access information on an OOC basis unless specifically authorized by the Administration Team.

GTA:W Staff Members Providing Proof of Admin Records

Date Enacted: 08/MAY/2023
Factions Affected: ALL

Per Administrative Regulations, due to the private access administrators have to their own records and a potential leak of sensitive information, Administration Teams are limited to share the following information in their faction applications, should the faction request their admin record:

Factions are obligated to accept the admin record and cannot request an uncropped version.

The District Attorney's Office is required to gain authorization from Legal Faction Management should they wish to decriminalize a certain aspect of the penal code.
