Senior Management Selena Posted June 1 Senior Management Share Posted June 1 Community Update - June 2025 Introduction Hello all, and welcome to the June 2025 Update This month has been exciting! With a brand new cause to help donate massive funds for, we're so grateful that so many of you have taken the time to help and support our local charity for this year. One of the best things that we get to see, as a management team, is how our community comes together so strongly to give back each and every year. It means that, collectively, we've made a difference to charities over the last few years, raising in excess of 50,000 euros in the last 3 years alone. Thats insane! Thank you to each and every one of you who continues to support charities, and you can learn more about how you can support us in our campaign this year, here. https://ucp.gta.world/charity The subteam leaders have put together some great excerpts this month across most teams, so please take your time to peruse each tab below, and get the updates direct from them. We're also very happy to congratulate honey. and Lomadias on advancement to Senior Management. Lomadias and honey. have been Manager's for over a year now, and during that time, have both proven to be absolute assets to the management team, going above and beyond their duties. Over the past year some of the most significant work has come from the efforts they've made within their teams, and across the whole community. We're very excited to welcome them into Senior Management as we continue to grow our team. The GTA World staff team consists of over 100 volunteers who put a ton of time into supporting this and with two new senior managers assisting us, this means we can continue to deliver more across the whole team. Have a great June, and we look forward to sharing more with you all in July! Property Management Hi everyone, Property Management has been busy throughout May. Both Property Requests and Lease Requests have opened twice back-to-back, preparing for the summer season where players and our team members alike are less likely to be available due to the (hopefully) excellent weather and other commitments such as holidays or... work/school! This year, instead of taking a full month off, we'll still be around and available - just a little less frequently. The new request schedule has been published on the PM Discord by @Selena - do check it out as it covers all summer months and in some cases, even September. May has seen the release of the following development updates: - Property Tenancy where you can now customize tenant permissions via /pmanager, enabling you to create unique access for your property tenants, similar to how the new business manager permission system works! Thanks to @Azelat for making this possible - Concept Changes & Business Transfers are now available on the UCP, thanks to @Selena. This provides us with a dynamic (and faster!) platform and better documentation as opposed to having to rely on a much archaic system: forum private messages. - Vespucci Beach Strip Mall, coordinated by @Wuhtah, @murda and @tayswiz, providing the beach community with ~6 new stores (more to come potentially!) available for lease directly in-game! Special thank you to the Mapping Team members who participated in the mapping process of these stores. - Several in-game command shortcuts have been added by @Ashmoday such as: /gtep (/givetempexteriorperm), /lstp & /lockablestp (/lockablesmarttp), /visiblestp (/visiblesmarttp). Upcoming UCP additions - Request a lost property back. If you've lost your business or house within a 2 week period, you will be able to request it back with just a couple clicks! - Landlord Functionality Panel. If you're a landlord, you'll have full customizability and your own dedicated space on the UCP to edit, manage and update permissions etc. We're also hard at work on creating a new general business guide. This will support people new to the business scene, and will serve as a quick point of reference for all questions and queries possible! The end of May has also seen our third bi-monthly House Request cycle opening. Moving houses to only open every 2nd month gives us a much needed breathing space as these requests are much more heavily scrutinized compared to other business requests, while also allowing us to work with the return of houses, whether that's because of inactivity loss or people namechanging and moving on from a character. Landlord applications are opening in just a few days (2nd of June). Being a landlord will PM enables you to directly manage a designated landlord complex - rent out apartments, create roleplay for your tenants, etc! If this is your jam, and your character is of fitting nature, we encourage you to apply! We're always around and available for questions and discussions, join on Discord and review our #make-a-ticket channel to spark a conversation. Here's to an even better June! Legal Faction Management Legal Faction Management has been actively working behind the scenes to support and enhance Legal Roleplay on the server. Over the past month, we've expanded our team with the goal of better serving the Legal Roleplay Community. We've taken onboard several admins. During this month we've also revised our Faction Leader Expectations to ensure that leaders of legal factions uphold a high standard of conduct and contribute positively to the community. In addition, we've recently announced our initiative to involve the community in reshaping the server's political landscape. We've taken the time to carefully consider your feedback and concerns, and we are now inviting applications through the Legal Faction Management UCP portal for those interested in contributing to this effort. The Political Discussion Group has officially launched, and we will soon begin inviting knowledgeable and committed individuals to help improve and develop the Political Roleplay Environment. We firmly believe that involving the community in meaningful changes to the server is the right path forward. With this in mind, we anticipate additional opportunities for community for community members to contribute to the ongoing development of Legal roleplay. As a final note, we are in the process of reintroducing a fully revamped Los Santos High School faction. We are working closely with faction leadership to ensure all requirements are met and that, upon relaunch, the faction is equipped with the necessary tools for long-term success. In the coming weeks, we will publicly share details about the planned changes. This will allow those interested in engaging with high school-based roleplay to prepare and get involved ahead of the faction’s return. Illegal Faction Management Another month, another IFM update. Early May we processed and wrapped up a heavy round of supplier applications for both the weapons specialist role and electronics suppliers. Along with that, we're looking into ways to further develop both roles potentially with new items or functions to their roles, to give them more to roleplay and add to the scene. We're also still hard at work on NEW supplier roles, getting the kinks out of the base ideas themselves before they're forwarded to development to be scripted in. We're hoping to get these sorted out soon, but two we're looking at adding in the near future are Fraud Specialists, and Fencer. These roles will be primarily built around providing roleplay, instead of supplying pricey items for a big profit in the illegal community, a new alternative that we hope will add to the illegal scene and enhance already active schemes within their respective spheres. Rules of Engagement talks are still ongoing, we're working diligently on a draft of changes that are coming soon, with help from illegal factions in both organized crime and gang factions helping give their ideas and insight into what might make the ROE more straight forward and concrete to allow for less misinterpretation in the rules. If you'd like to contribute to the conversation, I highly recommend you join the Illegal FM Public discord (https://discord.gg/Wj4j87y5rN). Scheme requests have recently re-opened after a brief pause to catch up on workload. Speaking of schemes, we're going to be updating the scheme page with more common schemes in today's environment and looking to implement more scripts surrounding illegal RP schemes to better support them in the future. Supplier applications, increases, as well as chop shop reviews and increases, will be processed in the coming weeks as well. We're looking to open up some major suppliers again, and go over current chop shop scripts to evaluate and update limits as needed, as well as potentially implement new ones for newer official factions. Roleplay Quality Management Hello Everyone! RPQM has been keeping its head down and getting on with reports submitted by you, and we want to take a minute to thank the efforts of the team for keeping on top of all the reports. Initial asset reports on the newer vehicles have slowed a little, but we are of course seeing reports over the use of charity vehicles. It's important to remember that you can hold charity vehicles on whatever char, we don't care if you hold them. We do care if a 16 year old drives a million dollar plus vehicle to their job at a supermarket. If you have a charity vehicle, you still need to roleplay it appropriately. If it's something you would never own, perhaps you can lease one for a day or two for an event or a bit of fun, but lets be sensible. It is clear that more needs to be done on roleplay quality across the server and we will brainstorm the best approach to this. Relying on people to report individuals is fine, but ultimately, it isn't hitting the mark and there are areas of the server that need more attention. We will work with the rest of the staff team to work out a way to approach this. A lot of the mindset issues stem around wealth, which is something we are actively addressing. A lot of people still believe script money is valued 1:1 for example, or that a faction salary of 50k a week is a legitimate 50k a week. These are things that have been clarified over the years but we still need to correct frequently. Please keep reporting, and RPQM will keep trying to address the pockets of roleplay quality issues. Events Team We've had yet another successful month within the Events Team, within the last 30 days we've recieved around 21 Event Requests. We've had organizers host yet another successful event & festival counting over 200 participants in total throughout the multi-day event, alongside that we've expanded our team with new people allowing us to go through pending events even faster, now bringing down the response time from 4 days to 1 day. Since we've started tracking statistics from 23-Sep-2024, we've had 143 event requests in total, each and every one of those requests has been accepted and processed. Alongside that, we've helped advertise 37 events via event marketing requests. We're happy to continue working on event requests throughout the upcoming months, so if you come up with any ideas, just reach out to us and we'll make sure to work with you! Quality Assurance Another month has passed by, and we are concluding May 2025; by the end of this month, we'll be halfway through the year. Quality Assurance continued to work through the Discord tickets, appeals, refund requests, forum player reports and other player-related enquiries throughout the month. In general, this month was a little bit less exciting — the team simply worked through the existing backlogs. We had a number of administrators reinstated into the administration team, and some of their previous appeals that were awaiting management decision have since been re-allocated; these administrators have seven (7) days to respond to their relevant appeals or reports before the Quality Assurance team may step in. As a reminder, as there has been some confusion in the community, there are a number of appeals or matters that the Quality Assurance administration team cannot simply take over and handle. For example, if your appeal has been referred to our community management team — it will be awaiting a decision from one of them, and sometimes there are existing delays due to their higher workload and other responsibilities (e.g., management of a subteam). We continue to work closely with the community management team to ensure that relevant appeals are processed in a timely manner. Looking forward to June 2025, we are aiming to deliver some small changes to how our Discord functions. There are ongoing discussions and changes being drafted to provide a more streamlined process to ticket submissions; simply requiring you, as a player, to provide us with a relevant link — and we'd work through the rest. In addition to this, we are looking to provide more guidance on what Quality Assurance can assist you with, and what is best to be referred to a specific subteam, and where the said subteams can be found. We had a number of issues come up over the last few months where issues raised with QA were outside of our remit, likely confusing some of our community members more and more, whilst being bounced and directed to different Discord servers. We look forward to presenting you with some of our improvements in the next community update. For May 2025, the team handled 46 Discord requests, including support tickets, ban appeals, refund requests, and forum player reports. If any of the above has been outstanding for seven (7) days, you may submit a support ticket on our Discord server, and one of our team members will attend to and assist you. https://discord.gg/5rX2M3VWQf Dev Update We've taken the month of May to implement more quality of life and minor suggestions from the community to improve overall player experience. Things like property lights, mini-Airsoft rework to make it more financially sensible, queue system for Poker, and more additions. We've also seen a major modding update that added several maps, forests, and improved performance. We have some big projects planned for release during the month of June, and while we won't spoil everything, they include projects that were teased and mentioned in previous community updates. More details will come in June, for now stay tuned and keep letting us know if you have suggestions for features you'd like to see! Web Dev Update Introducing: GTAW Outfits A brand-new platform is now live at outfits.gta.world — designed to make sharing your character's looks with others and getting outfit ideas easier than ever. With GTAW Outfits, you can: Browse hundreds of player-made outfits, Upload and share your own outfits with the community, Get inspired by others' outfits and access outfits from all GTA World language communities, Instantly import outfits into the game — just use /changechar afterward! A massive thank-you to @Dor for developing this amazing tool. We can't wait to see how you use it to express your characters! LS Chat Multiaccount Functionality We've just added a highly requested feature — multiaccount support in LS Chat! You can now switch between your characters directly within the chat platform, making it easier than ever to switch between your characters without logging out. Check it out and give it a spin — and let us know if there's anything you'd like to see added next! Coming up: Share your admin record We're working on a brand-new feature that will make sharing your admin record easier and more secure than ever. With this upcoming update, you'll be able to generate a link to your admin record directly from the UCP. This removes the need to take and upload screenshots for faction applications or any other purposes that require you to provide an admin record. No more outdated admin record (it will update with the link) No more delays (due to a screenshot potentially not fitting the criteria of the faction / being edited) 100% tamper-proof This not only streamlines the process but also helps ensure fairness and transparency across the board.
