What's with the LEO role-players on this game chase baiting?

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately, isn’t this simply a case of “if the shoe fits?”

The police have to respond to IC stimuli too. Even in your own example, your friend predicted he’d be pulled out of the vehicle, and when he actually was he ran and lost his firearm… Because he was a criminal with a gun. The police got it right.

It sounds like IC cops have gotten good enough to profile offenders based on server continuity and history. Maybe it’s up to us criminals to come up with some alternatives/backup plans when getting pulled over?

What am I getting at is server continuity. Why do you think most of non-criminal characters are staying indoors or in guarded areas? Why do you think many players steer away from (M) characters?

Same reason why LEOs will order you to step out side. Consequences. LS isn't realistic city.

Why are they ordering me out just to bait me into a chase — just because I’m playing a minor character and they assume I'm carrying something?
Cops got tired of people shooting them during traffic stops — fair enough.
But now I'm tired of being pulled over and told to step out just to bait an evasion, because they think I don’t know about the new LFM/IFM search rules.

By your logic, they’re basically ordering kids out of cars hoping they'll run, right?
I'm just lost on what point you're trying to make.

I was once a real kid, driving around — and I was never ordered out.
So again, what are you getting at?

This.

In real life the city literally  would be empty if there were all the cases of criminality and robberies that there are in the server, nobody would want to live in a city with such rate of criminality. Just imagine someone who got robbed more than once, the trauma would be so badly that would be impossible to go out from home or directly would just leave the city.

No they are not baiting you, as you said they can order you out of the car. So they are exercising that. It doesn't necessarily mean they will search you. But as I said, it is a direct IC consequence of portrayal. Even if you are hinky, try not to run? Unless they have a dog with them you have nothing to fear.

I’ll nip this in the bud since this seems to be a reaction to something that happened IG.

If you believe cops are baiting pursuits, without just reason file a report to LFM if it’s faction specific. If a server rule was broken make a forum report.

If it’s an IC protocol violation, report it via the respective Leo’s faction internal affairs.

However,  a Leo rper can’t force someone to evade, that’s on the person being stopped.
