And how you visualize this magic arrest just takes place?

There's something in the world called roleplay.

You engage in it.

Then you roleplay an arrest with an individual after catching them 🙂

I don't say this with any insult intending but this only shows how much you have no idea how LEO roleplay and reach works in this server.

They prove it in real life, it should be able to be proven in game easily.

man makes call with unregistered phone "there is a bomb here". man walks 1 block. cop shows up, nobody there. cop calls the phone, nobody answers. nothing left to investigate, cop moves on

It's very hard to prove that they were doing a hoax call, because the penal code states 'legitamete concern'. Since it's so loose with the language they use, someone could drop a bag on the ground, call in a suspicious bag on the ground that might be a bomb and as far as it seems it's a 'legitamete concern'

it's not really a big deal, it should stay IC, but it's hard to arrest for unless you see them make the call

Most of 911 calls are ignored anyway unless it's concerning a shootout. Saying that it's hard to arrest someone for that is really petty. What is actually hard is litigating a lawsuit

I have no idea how it works currently...but for sure I know how it should work. And it's working.
I legit called PD for them crashing into my car during a car chase, and I actually was pretty committed to waiting for them 2 hours. 0 replies and yet I saw patrols and more car chases.

I was an LEO for about 2-3 years? I was shot about in total 2 times over a simple traffic stop. I didn't report anyone and just took it ICly because I didn't see the point in arguing. Thing is, I had the ability to respawn and not lose anything valuable because I never took anything valuable out with me on duty. The criminals didn't. If me dying on that traffic stop helped those criminals have a better RP experience which they now have to deal with the RP around killing a cop then I'm all for it, go right ahead. You can shoot me all you want but you have to be aware there's IC consequences if you're caught.

What you're asking for is literal free Deathmatching.

Nobody should be on a "free for shooting" kill on sight just on the basis they are standing or parked up anywhere, LEO, civilian, illegal, nobody. This isn't a DM server and that's exactly what it would become.

Cop pulled you over? Just DM them. Civilian honked at you? Just DM them. Someone saw you selling drugs? Just DM them.

It happens in real life. It's not like suddenly the rules surrounding deathmatching are going to change. I think this change will be more akin to criminals who have warrants/drugs in the car/ a large amount of drugs and other such reasons shooting cops, as would most likely be the case. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I have a request. When the revision is made, could it be stated in the rules that "just shooting cops while they radio it in" is what it is -  poor escalation?

When you get stopped by cops, let them come to the window, figure out what the reason for the stop actually is, and try to remain lowkey as long as you can, as is the case IRL. If you're asked to get out of the car? Sure, run away. If they say they're gonna search the vehicle, sure, draw guns, pop off shots while you try to flee. You already know it's against the rules to just fire randomly at a  car unless it's trying to run you over, so you run zero risk just peeling off, even after they walk up to the window. Nine times out of ten the stop is a minor speeding infraction..

i'll be straight up - sitting in your car and running /me grabs the uzi from under the seat and sprays down the cop car without ever even finding out why they've stopped you is chicken behavior, weak street cred and powergamey as fuck. It's a roleplay server, so RP. Anyone who does that will find zero complaints from the people they shoot. I would very much like the server to avoid going more in that direction with this change.
