Peat
Suggestion: - Change the amount of cash you must leave on your source character from $200,000 to $5,000. - Transfers will also incur a $5,000 fee if any or all the following criteria is met: A. The players UCP has more than $600,000 in "Total Wealth" across all characters. (Bank, properties and vehicles, visible on the UCP Assets page) B. Players are not receiving starter cash on any character, present or future. How to implement: - Change some text in the rules about asset transfers - Add a section asking players to show screenshots of their UCP "Total Wealth" across all characters so admins can add it up and see if it's more than $600,000. Reason(s) it should be implemented: The rule is outdated and existed solely to prevent players generating infinite amounts of money via creating countless characters and moving assets. This proposed method still prevents people farming money through character creation. $5,000 is the current starter cash. For new players that's their first $5,000 out of 40, totalling their $200,000 starter cash. For players not receiving any starter cash on any character, present or future, we remove $5,000 when they transfer money. If they request a transfer of $115,000. They are granted a transfer for $110,000 and the admin handling the transfer in game should delete $5,000 from the economy. That way, if the player does delete the source character and make a new one after the transfer, they won't have made any profit. They've lost $5,000 until they make a new character and then if they do make a new character, they're back at net zero. $600,000 = 3 characters worth of starter cash. If players have less than $600,000 in total wealth, they should not be charged $5,000. There's no reason someone who's been playing for multiple years shouldn't be given the same resources as a new player. Sure, once they exceed that $600,000 in total wealth, they should be charged $5,000 for any future transfers to ensure they can't spawn money past the starter cash value. The only thing this change does is allow people more freedom in roleplaying their character, because now if there is a character they don't play as much, they can move the cash to a character they do invest time in. Whether it be to purchase a property, vehicle or something else to aid in the portrayal of their character. As long as the reasoning is solid and they use the money for what they say they're going to use it for there should be no issue, as money isn't even an IC thing, it's an OOC tool used to portray your characters life and we should be considering that in transfers more than some $200,000 value needing to be left behind. I've seen homeless guys with a million in the bank yet they still RP wanting the dollar out your pocket like it's their saving grace. sincerelyyE
Isn't this just making it so you can get 3x starter cash on the same character? If so, -1 Link to comment

If so, -1 This is more aimed at benefitting old players who may have dropped below 600k in total assets across their entire UCP (All chars combined). If they want to transfer cash to a main character they are actively trying to roleplay I see no just reason to make them leave 200k on a character they're not utilising. 5k fee is enough to stop money duping by deleting the source character and recreating it. You'd be at net 0 overall if you did that. Admins are still free to deny where they see fit, it's their decision after all and I believe they'll see the assets and hours played in the screens I'm suggesting to be added as a requirement.
