Kari
probably deeper than a pet peeve but how shallow a lot of people feel. rarely do people really have hobbies, or interests to talk about. even hobby-based communities like car stuff have intensely shallow people who can't answer more than base level questions with monotone responses. just all feels very grey, and bleak. rarely are there opinionated characters who get excited to tell people about something they like. 9 Link to comment

I think this is a consequence of having only the same businesses. People dont want to RP normal life beyond the same activities. 3 Link to comment

Perhaps in part, but, barhopping is even a hobby. There's no bargoers who have a super specific drink order or are whiskey enthusiasts or socialites beyond small talk. I still concur, having actual activity spaces open would be far better. I.E, overland's indoor offroad track is an enthusiast area beyond the normal crowd that'd be attracted from just a racetrack (back to the point of car people who just have a fast car for the sake of it and aren't really doing car stuff), or bowling alleys, arcades, etc. As said, probably deeper than a pet peeve but I want to have a conversation with someone slightly deeper than "fuck 12" or the absolute minimums required to pass as conversation. to keep on topic, people who full sprint up to you and engage in a non-urgent conversation. 3 Link to comment

My char tends to try new drinks when visit pubs or coffee places but other times have X dishes or drinks they are his fav ones. I´d love to do more outdoor activites like going to the beach etc, but you know...not safe at all. And yeah, normally it tends to be a superficial conversation with no deep, it´s kinda sad. You can find people to talk about that but...you have to be very lucky to find them. Link to comment
nokturn
Lack of business variety. The fact we have 100 bars, 1,000 nightclubs, 50 cafes, 500 airsoft arenas, 50 mechanic garages and 50 more car dealerships but not much else is really boring and dull for the server climate. Social RP has become an impossible task when wanting to do something unique because niche businesses either don’t make as much money as the aforementioned or aren’t supported enough on a server wide basis. Props to that bookstore owner in Hawick and the tarot reading business in Strawberry. 10 Link to comment

People just dont want to RP normal life beyond the ones you mentioned so, in many cases thats why other concepts dont have success I assume, which is sad. Link to comment

Cops do this in real life too. And it’s just as annoying. I always just slow down and pull off to the side. Cop usually just drives past you when you do that irl. 1 Link to comment
