When people claim that any RP outside of their chosen path is "ruining their RP". It's RP, where the world shapes your character. If people wanted a straight pre-determined path, then they should write a book, play, or film.

Actually I beg to differ. World rarely shapes your character, unless you want it to. And let me take another jab at this world. If I let it shape my characters, all of them would've been armed criminals by now.

Every I.C. action influences a character in some way, though, which is why it shapes your character to a certain degree. However, every character responds or reacts differently to that world.

Sadly not doable much on the server.

my biggest rp pet peeve is when people don't respect the shit they're rping enough to learn about it for a better portrayal.

examples being gang rpers that get all their info off r/calibangin but don't understand any nuance further than that, car RPers that dont research west coast car culture at all, music rpers that dont study anything about what they're rping and just let ai/stolen artist music do it all for them (ai music is fine so long as the person rping it is also RPing everything that goes into it and understands it, its a game afterall), civilian/legal RPers that dont put ANY effort into learning anything about california or even just american culture in general, etc.

just as bad is the people that act like you're the asshole for wanting authenticity too 😂

Folks who put down others for putting in an exceptional or even 'excessive' amount of focus on small details in their RP.

I once saw someone whose character was allergic to bees and refused to continue chasing someone due to the fear of the bushes nearby having bees. This resulted in some huge OOC dilemma because they were 'acting corrupt' and 'letting them escape' when really the character was just worried about wasps and bees.

You always see the big-bad scary soldiers in camo in the jungle, but where's the time the sniper is about to take aim and a colony of ants decide now's the time?

In short people roleplaying perfect character right? Like having no issues no fears. Everyone is a pro at everything.

when people use 2 dots instead of 3 and the capitalize the letter during a pause

"Hey man.. Have you heard about that rabid dog?"

grammatically incorrect and upsetting.

More, or less, the good old adage: Mary Sue & Gary Stu. Yeah. I play a character who is such a clutz she falls down literally randomly. Just stumbles over her own feet. I like characters with just GOOFY flaws.
