Jorgensen
Minor characters as they are, are not something to aspire to - If anything, it feels like most roleplay minors to do 'stupid shit' and get away with it because 'My characters a kid, kids do stupid shit'. But, roleplay none of the downsides of being a kid (Not being a 6 foot something giant thata goes to the gym everyday, can't beat up a fully grown adult etc). Something has to change about current portrayal of minors for me before we even try and explore this as a community. -1 1 Link to comment

Very weird indeed. no, no, Burger's got a very solid point. A mass majority of us are 18+ years of age. It's weird personally speaking, that you would want to roleplay a just barely a teenager; the age requirement for it being 16 is already enough, while yes you can argue "most kids are jumped in at 8-12 years of age" but thats more so a 70s, 80s, 90s thing. Modern day in age, a lot of kids are jumped in around 14-17 years of age when they full blown know and/or have grown up enough to know consciously what the hell they're getting into. Most kids (and im rationalizing and categorizing anybody that's 17 or under as a "kid") grow up in these environments and once they're already in the streets because of their friends, family roots or so on being a sort of understanding mid to late teenager they still are a product of their environment. So yes, for a large portion of us mature adults, it's quite weird to see somebody wanting to RP under the given youngest age you can RP. Just stick to 16 and don't use the "well in street gangs" please. 3 1 Link to comment

I simply put forward a suggestion. That's a bit of a jump that simply does not connect with the suggestion. Link to comment
Dominic
Just get rid of minors altogether. The vast majority of (M)'s that people encounter provide subpar roleplay and contribute very little to the server's realism as a whole as it stands, anyway. 3 2 2 Link to comment
سُبْحَانَ ٱللهِ
most minors don't act like minors, you can literally tell at times. Just roleplay an of-age char, the minor thing is mostly for gangs as it's unrealistic for a 19 Y/0 to join a gang. Link to comment

The models do not accurately represent 13 year olds, the mechanics do not accurately represent 13 year olds. The community as a whole is not nearly sanitized or respectful enough to interact with or accurately roleplay 13 year old characters, let alone if the sample size is opened up to all players. Far easier and more reasonable to impose restrictions on the Davis High Faction. Allowing more 13 year olds wouldn't fix the problem, because if legal players wish to attend, they would just make 16 y/o's and do so. There is a general lack of interest in legal minor roleplay as compared to illegal. The issues do not stem from the age requirement. Summed up my thoughts very well. Link to comment

Very weird indeed. well if you want the truth then i think anyone roleplaying as a minor is a seriously weird person irl. i was insinuating that you caring about this topic makes you one of those people in my mind. Jennie
There should be no minor characters on the server, legal or illegal, I don't care. 4 2 Link to comment

It's interesting that you implicate roughly a quarter of the GTAW player base as "seriously weird". How about the people interacting with those "minors". Are they "seriously weird" too? Perhaps something more? You are writing cheques you simply can not cash. It seems to me that you have unresolved issues. This obsession with fictional characters is not healthy at all. Nor is labeling IRL minors who might also play as a minor as "seriously weird". it is my opinion that some people think that critical thinking is illegal Link to comment
