Kirsten Claire Reid is a 23-year-old woman born and raised in Paleto Bay, specifically the Paleto Point Trailer Park. She is the only daughter of Charles Reid, a retired trucker who now uses a wheelchair and relies on disability checks, and Tracy Donoghue, a prostitute from Sandy Shores whom Charles met during one of his long-haul trucking trips. Kirsten never met her mother and was raised by her single father.
 

Currently, she works at Paleto Bay 24/7 and competes in amateur motocross competitions for prizes, dreaming of going pro one day. Kirsten has faced several misdemeanor charges over the years, including petty theft, harassment and disturbing the peace, most of which were directly linked to her crystal methamphetamine addiction.
She still resides at the Paleto Point Trailer Park, and lives with Connor West, a man she's been in a relationship with on and off ever since her cheerleading days in high school. Kirsten tattooed Connor's name on her neck at 17, and over the years she added other tattoos with religious significance, including one that says "Not of this world". Natalie Fitzgerald, Kirsten's cousin from Harmony, lives in the same trailer and sleeps on the couch.
 

Kirsten's father moved to Oregon to live with his younger sister in January, as Kirsten proved unreliable in caring for her disabled father. Due to an administrative error by a government clerk, Kirsten also continues to receive Charles's disability checks, which she uses to fund her destructive lifestyle.
