[Guide] Namechanges (Character, Forums & UCP)

Hello everyone, 

 

As it seems to be a pretty common question as to how you're able to change your names across our server's respective platforms. I decided to make a guide on how to do so with visuals to assist those who might need it. However, it is important to know that in order to perform a namechange you must have an available namechange on your UCP. These can be purchased for 30 World Points or 30,000 Panda Point in game via the Activity Rewards Menu.  

 

This guide would include character namechanges, UCP as well as forums.  It is important to remember, you need to be OFFLINE for roughly five minutes in order for these activities to be performed. 

 

Character Namechange 

 

Step 1 )  - Navigate to the UCP landing page at https://ucp.gta.world  which would bring you to our UCP's home page.  Which should look like the attached image below. 

 

 

Step 2 ) - You would click on the drop down as highlighted by the arrow to access the list of characters on your UCP. 

 

Step 3 )  -  After selecting the character's dropbox, the list of character should be displayed underneath.  Once they are displayed, you may then select the character you wish to access. 

 

Step 4) - Once you've navigated to the desired character you will then select the 'SETTINGS' tab, this would then lead you to the namechange option. Once you're there you're more than welcome to enter the desired name. 

 

 

 

UCP Namechange 

 

Step 1 )  - Navigate to the UCP landing page at https://ucp.gta.world  which would bring you to our UCP's home page.  Which should look like the attached image below. 

 

Step 2 ) - You would then navigate to your UCP Profile settings as seen in the images below. Once you can do this by clicking on the profile name in the top right of the UCP home page and select 'SETTINGS'.

 

Step 3 ) - Once on the settings page, you will need to select the 'SETTINGS' tab and it should give you the option to change your UCP name there. A reminder this does cost one namechange. 

 

 

Forum namechanges 

 

Step 1) -  Navigate to the UCP landing page at https://ucp.gta.world  which would bring you to our UCP's home page.  Which should look like the attached image below.

 

Step 2 ) - You would then navigate to your UCP Profile settings as seen in the images below. Once you can do this by clicking on the profile name in the top right of the UCP home page and select 'SETTINGS'.

 

Step 3) - Navigate to the Los Santos Forums section which can be found under your UCP details, it's important to have your forum account linked to the UCP in order for this to be effective. 

 

Once you've found it, click on the gear icon, this would open a miniature window for you to input the desired forum name. The window should look like below;

Now, after you have redeemed your namechange, the next time you log in on the server, you'll have to do a few things:

 

Step 1) Make use of (/attributes) to set the age and description of the character, because the namechange will revert your age back to 0 years old. (Note: Make sure to (/changechar) after saving your new age so it syncs.)

 

Step 2) You will have to obtain a new ID card, which you can obtain by making use of the command (/orderidcard) in the interior at some different locations, those locations being: Los Santos Police Department, Mission Row Station, Los Santos County, Senora Station, your property (house or apartment), or the motel you're renting. (Note: Make sure to check your inventory with (/inv) and trash/drop the old ID card beforehand.)
