Hello and welcome to the September 2024 Staff update!

 

Time flies so fast when you are having fun, August was the last month of the summer and we are now entering into September where college has already started for some and school is about to start for others. August was filled with a lot of notable events which we will mention below that took a lot of time and effort to plan to keep things exciting in our world of San Andreas.

 

An important message we would like to link here regarding the server's roleplay quality and moving forward can be found right below. Nervous touches on a topic that came up regarding the server's quality level and standard, he proposes changes and future improvements when it comes to roleplay on this community.

Roleplay Quality Management

 

We would like to take a moment here to send Roleplay Quality Management members a huge thank you, the team has taken an extra step forward and sprung into action to take care of the outstanding reports within the past two months clearing up their backlog and springing into maintaining their subteam as a whole, this is not an easy task due to how long RPQM investigations can take. Thank you to the administrators that took part in this in helping modernize Roleplay Quality Management and shaping into a new version of Roleplay Quality Management.

 

We'd also like to take a moment to congratulate a couple of key members of RPQM in their further advancement in the team this month.

 

Since taking up the helm in RPQM, @Kenth has been committed to clearing the backlog of RPQM reports and organizing the team to build new internal standards and policies to ensure that RPQM develops as a team, but also remains committed to guiding players to portray the best version of the character they wish to play. His leadership has been vital, and the RPQM team has never been so active, with more internal conversations, more supportive systems and more structure than ever before. Because of this, Kenth will be stepping into the Lead Administrator role where he will continue to run his team and collaborate with other sub-teams to ensure maximum efficiency and consistency.

 

@goddessoflife has been an instrumental member of the RPQM team, helping to clear the backlog, mentor team members and issue detailed and well researched verdicts to ensure fairness across the board. She has also helped to pull internal statistics which will help the Head of RPQM to organize and shape the team as needed. In light of this, we recognize their achievement and commitment to the team, and Goddessoflife will join our Senior administrator team as a member of the RPQM senior team.

Recent Events

We have had a few events happen this month that are worth mentioning, first off is the Audiophreaks Festival 2.0. This was a huge turnout, it was a festival led by @Woltrazz@Lena and their team. It was a three day event with constant DJs playing music for everyone attending with lots of booths and activities held at the Diamond Casino. Huge thanks and appreciation to Woltrazz and anyone who has helped with this event, it was a great turn out. Check out the video right below as well as the spoiler for some photos.

One more event worth mentioning was hosted by our Faction Management Team which was a bank robbery that took place yesterday on August 31st. At approximately 1830 the bank robbers took control of the Vinewood Bank, police and sheriff units responded to the emergency call placed reporting that bank is being robbed. A situation with a turnout of at least fifty people turned into an explosive and hot pursuit! It was an exciting event to observe as this has not happened in quite a few years giving everyone involved something new and exciting to be apart of. Legal Faction Management has tested the waters with this bank heist and they are open to feedback. In the near future Legal Faction Management is looking to do more of these events that are enjoyable for different parties to keep things exciting and unique. If you have any feedback on the bank heist feel free to contact @Hood or any member of Legal Faction Management to touch on these details that way they can take that feedback and use it to better future events or even use the ideas for new events.

Development Update

Few of features to touch on in this month's staff update!

 

First off, I'm sure you were all extremely excited for the 3.7 dev blog update posted by Nervous recently, it touches on a new phone system introducing a lot of quality of life changes, taking photos and sending them right away, group phone calls, group chats are now functional and couple more. I'm sure a few are stoked for group calls, no more handing off and having your buddy call the person or having to roleplay a third person in the phone call.

Bowling, Arcade games, mechanic shops now have functional car lifts, many more changes to visit if you haven't. Check this link out to get up to date with the new and exciting things coming, some are already implemented.

Airsoft has been revamped completely! Couple new changes on the UI and changes to make it more interactive and fun for others to enjoy one of the most popular updates we have had.

Prescriptions and Pharmacies were added in as well, perfect for both the legal, illegal and even the civilian groups. Perfect for Pillbox Hill Medical to create some interesting roleplay situations revolving around prescriptions whether it be prescription fraud or roleplay around character development.
