E-Brake

Recommended Posts

I remember seeing this feature in another GTA RP community, and it was generally okay. However, there were instances when it seemed pretty weird. This was mainly because if a car was parked with the e-brake on, it became completely solid, like a rock. If someone crashed into it, which happens often, it looked unrealistic and funny, but it also broke the immersion.

A normal person shouldn't have to worry about crashing into another vehicle, and whether it feels like hitting cement should be the least of your concerns. In a server where the only vehicles are player-driven, the real issue isn't the parked vehicle being immovable, it's your driving skills.

If you're afraid of crashing into another vehicle, maybe the problem lies in how you drive, not in the fact that the vehicle feels like an immovable object.

So +1

I feel like this would cause a lot of deaths/flying out of windshields. So may not be a wise addition.

Sounds like a them problem honestly. At the speeds people smash into parked cars they should be pk/cked anyway. So they have no reason to bitch imo

Back in MTA Owlgaming when this was a thing, nobody complained, everybody liked it. +1
Why would any of you bother if a parked car was cement or not, just don't ram into them?

The amount of people I see ram into parked cars, completely ruin the other car and then claim desync is crazy. I actually think adding an achor command for cars and making them nonmovable would also help deter unrealistic driving/parking.

You know what else break immersion? A player ramming another parked car into the middle of the road so they can take their parking spot. The amount of times I've seen it happen is crazy, and you can't even report them because it's always "desync".

Witnessed myself people from Public Works ram cars on purpose just to sanction on them (one of them is now banned for other reasons), and since it can be easily abused and there are no logs over somebody ramming a car away from where it was parked, I think it'd be a good addition +1

Just last week I had a ticket because, after perfectly parking my car, someone rammed it into the sidewalk and public works thought I put it there myself I guess.

I'll take cement cars over that anytime. If people are worried about crashing into them, just don't drive like a maniac.

That's pretty crazy if you ask me. But I get the logic behind the suggestion, so I'll be in support of it.  Maybe if /pb (parking brake) would be the command is nice.

I dont think it'd work because if you've ever tried to /anchor a boat on flat land(like RPing a trailer or something), it only works if theres someone within render distance at all times. As soon as it loads out of everyones render distance it jumps up & freezes there, eventually leading to a boat being 500 feet in the air.
