This isn't IC issue to those claiming it is. It's moronic OOC issue where, I'm going to assume, was allowed as this gave people who enjoy RP'ing these type of characters creative freedom but now it's so watered-down to the point you /can't take this issue ICly/. To go on for a reference here, when I first spawned in on this server at the airport. The first character I met there was a deputy, and first words issued to my character on the server? "We don't like your kind here N'". Which continues to baffle me as the guy moved on in his cruiser right after this strange welcoming?!

For christ sake. It's raw stupidity now. And to anyone think I'm bashing on those characters which are racist? I'm not. The most fun I've had in RP with criminal side was actually from try-hard Nazi's that didn't say the N-word at all. Instead, putting actual effort into their responses and insults beyond sounding like a broken record repeating the N-word before gearing up to kill you. I'd rather see this type of racism present on the server than teenagers wet-dream version with shouting out their favourite word in the moment.

 

Anyone else tried going the IC route before? I have, and nothing more than a shrug is the response. Ironically, also depends on which LEO is responding to it as it is common in my experience to see them sprouting out this nonesense as well.

 

On a fun note for comparison to real life; my first character was called nigga more in one week on the server than I have in my entire life which is speaking volumes.

Over usage of the robbery system isn't an IC issue

The abuse/overuse of anything isn't an IC issue.

This isn't an IC issue, we've already explained how this isn't something that's done in LA, the state we mimic, so how can random racist be IC? It's literally unrealistic.

The fact that we're having this conversation in 2024 and people are defending it is funny as hell. It's also funny that the people defending it literally roleplay in white supremacist factions. Yes, it's IC, but why does it stop with racism? Every other thing that may be overly offensive to a group of people is banned. I can recall my faction thread getting deleted over posting a (Palestine) flag. But you have Nazis saluting with swasticas every day on the server. 

 

I live in a right-leaning state and I've never been called the N-word ever, we're supposed to be roleplaying Califonia. People are so quick to say that until it comes down to the county and racism then it's out the window. 

 

I'm all for letting us shoot it out though. We've been tryna deal with it IC, but 90% of the time it ends up in reports after the person being racist doesn't like the repercussions of their actions. Allow us to PK them to at least add some consequence.
