These facilities play a key role in the day to day operations of the prison, providing the population with appropriate emergency, and health care services as well as recreational activities. (Pictured: SASP LSC, Inmate Gymnasium) The newly renovated inmate recreational center/gymnasium, now equipped with modern fitness equipment and a fresh design, offers a modernistic space for various physical activities, including but not limited to free weight training, basketball and general fitness exercises. This transformation aims to promote healthier lifestyles among inmates from all housing units, fostering a positive environment conducive to rehabilitation and personal growth. (Pictured: SASP LSC, Correctional Treatment Center) The renovated infirmary, now featuring state-of-the-art medical equipment, provides a more efficient and comfortable environment for healthcare. This upgrade ensures that inmates receive higher quality medical care, supporting their overall well-being and recovery, no matter the condition they might be facing. The San Andreas Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation remains a medium to enhance public safety through successful reintegration of convicted individuals into society through education, treatment and active participation in rehabilitative and restorative justice programs with the utmost focus on keeping recidivism to the minimum levels.
