Remove the Headshot Rule

Recommended Posts

hi currently the headshot rules read:

Quote

Players that are placed in the downed mode (wounded mode) with a headshot will be considered automatically dead. If you survive and are not placed in wounded/downed mode - you can RP the injuries not being as serious. This ruling comes into effect when you are hit in the head and are placed in the wounded/downed mode stage at any point of the shooting. For example, if you are downed and you have five leg shots, and only one head shot, as soon as you are in wounded/downed mode, you will be forced to PK.

as it stands there's already a damage modifier that just about INSTANTLY downs you if you're shot in the head without a helmet, placing you in an injured state. so much rp is lost on scenes because someone is clipped in the head and placed in a /injured state. you check their damages, and then there's a headshot so its just whoopsy daisy they're dead

with the current state of affairs on the server people already get executed/dead-checked if they're in an injured state more times than not especially if it's a calculated risk, so this isn't going to affect that in any capacity. id rather see the removal of the rule to allow for a broader expanse of medical rp that will allow people to survive situations more, and develop from them.

in summary, remove the rule, keep the damage modifier

dead = dead
injured = injured

headshot and in an injured state = graze

Better option is if they have 2 headshots or more registered? They're dead.

Gunshot wounds should be dangerous, especially to the head. Almost majority of people are gonna survive shootouts with this rule.

hello

i just been shot in the head

yes

mmhmmmmmmmmmmm

bang bang bang

 most of the time you bleed out to death before you can even drop a single /me in most cases, how about we fix the bleeding script so people don't die 3 seconds after getting shot in the head

oooohhhh okay

jokes aside though, i still think the bleeding script kills you way too fast and doesn't give much chances to properly roleplay injuries if you're hit 2-3+ times
