Maybe another garbage depot being added somewhere up there would be nice and more separation from the city. There's over +100 apartments/trailers in the county that are available right now. A bit lacking on houses, but we've been on top of it. As for scripted job support - another garbage depot being added in Paleto? Can I get more opinions on this? Would having a scripted restaurant job (sort of like the 24/7, but more food-oriented) work as well? 2 Link to comment

This would be great actually or even bring back the sawmill, I've heard great things about that type of roleplay. I believe so, I just don't think its operational anymore from what I've heard. Also to add @Wuhtah I've recently took over the Wonderama Arcade which I hope I can use to make events and bring more attention towards County roleplay. Edited June 25 by graeme 1 Link to comment

I know there's a lot currently available, but most of them are leasable buildings, most of which are also not able to have their concepts changed. There's a severe lack of options when it comes to non-scripted business buildings. Most of the homes that are available in Sandy particularly wouldn't make sense to run a business out of. 1 Link to comment

I'm almost positive all of the county businesses can be concept changeable and can be bought out as well. Some were added on the leasing list due to players wanting to apply for them without waiting for property requests to open up. I will check with colorlessrainbow on this, though for sure. I can ask modders if we can get more businesses in Sandy, but I'm going to do a property count of how many are available, first. It's not that there's not any businesses available, players just don't want to run them it seems to us. 4 1 Link to comment
TheLucky
Yeah, here's my take on it: The server is way too focused on ''preserving'' instead of stepping up and trying something new. You can't possibly tell me that when I requested middle-class houses to be added to East Joshua/Joshua, that it's too ''high class'' but two months later a brand new SD station is thrown in beside a junkie motel and a fire department station that's falling apart. The whole reason why the county is dead is because people are like '' It's low class'' and 80% of the servers are ''middle'' and ''high'' classes. So of course no one is going to be actively roleplaying there. If you look at the facts, almost everyone will try and get a property in Mirror Park because it resembles a clean and nice-looking neighborhood and has a lot of potential. Which in return draws in more roleplay. So yes, add more middle-class housing, modding can do so much nowadays, but they simply don't do it. If you put some nice housing in the county, build a new neighborhood, and perhaps for once, delete all the generated trash to make it look a little decent, all the issues would've been fixed. Yes, I understand that Sandy Shores is ''supposed'' to be a low housing project, but if we look at Grapeseed and Paleto Bay, it's not used at all and you can easily turn it into something nice with some modding. You can't tell me that you can delete entire skyscrapers and add is nice buildings, but county is to much? Just as example, look at the latest expansion of Paleto Bay on DOJRP ((FIVEM)) they added an entire new city to paleto? I seriously have no idea where this whole ''low-level'' enforcement is coming from and why it still exists. The entire county is currently being ran by 1 or 2 active factions, which are both criminal, and that is about it. ((Speaking of larger groups and beside some mechanic shops)) And let's be honest why the hell would we live in county where the only custom mapping is a SD station and the rest is all still from 2013. It's boring, do something with modding, add nice houses with pools, generate middle class roleplay, allow people to live in county and work in city. Stop this whole ''wall'' of things ''you need'' and throw the borders open. You guys have literally exhausted every possible option you can think off with almost to no improvement. It's time to get out the comfort zone. Edited June 25 by Keegan 1 2 Link to comment
Lomadias
The sawmill I believe is being worked on by Gov under LFM. It was given not too long ago because they wanted to boost activity and offer a new roleplay experience which I appreciate. This is something we were in contact with heads of LFM about because ultimately, these locations need to be used, otherwise its wasted opportunity, and Gov were super optimistic so I trust them to give it a good shot. Keep things flowing on the thread, we'll see what changes we can make, and then anything that we could request from modding. 2 Link to comment
CowboyYoda22
If possible, I think more middle class housing being added to the rural parts of the map would help to spread more people into the county. Right now, it feels like everyone is dirt poor and more akin to driving through places like Rural Mississippi, the Appalachian valleys, and other forgotten areas of the country. There are plenty of poor people in the county, but from my personal experience there seems to be more middle class and even wealthy people moving out into the rural parts near me. Land is being sold now more than ever, and what was once farm land is now being converted into terrible looking generic developments. These people do exactly what the server has rules against and that is work directly in the closest city, shop in the city, and spend their money away from the rural ecosystem. This is the unfortunate reality of living in the rural parts of the US and why it has so many economic issues. I think that an increased presence of different wealth classes could help attract different people, both illegal and legal to come and play in the county. Another issue that I have seen in the past is that you can be discouraged by the community to not play anything that isn't a white or Hispanic in the county parts of the map. This tends to just downplay certain smaller nuances in what rural life in the US can be like. Overall though, I think the RP is mostly good. People tend to rp slower and more developed scenes compared to other parts of the map. A good read on the history of African-American perspectives on rural life. https://musicmaker.org/stories/rural-black-life-in-the-u-s/ 1 Link to comment

Absolutely, almost any county business can be concept changed except for a select few - property requests are open right now so it might be a good chance for any of you wanting to start something! Just walk up to a building, see if it's available via /checkowner and apply. On the topic of 'lack of housing', as Wuhtah pointed out there's at least 80-120 trailers/apartments available at any given time and they cost anything from 30k to 150k (depending if it's furnished or not). All it takes is a VERY brief application, which basically consists of a few sentences about your character background and your character's financials. You can apply here, we process most if not all of these requests within 72 hours maximum: https://ucp.gta.world/property-requests/request-a-trailer Back on the topic of businesses, I've been trying to put at least 15-20 county ones up for each lease cycle, you can see below: April: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bfHthcj160prP7EeRSRWdMn3cLSYIGfRb4ajBZd99eA/edit?gid=0#gid=0 May: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14DVuyyXxgTCfjfPoR28SyU6ZKDzi8cfCZQgecx-U6lE/edit?gid=0#gid=0 June: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XgmhOsDTYAlqinqREII_eNdBhV6t-Xd4hj4ej4Fk2bk/edit?gid=0#gid=0 For July, I'll be specifically focusing on county leases as well as those in South Central, both areas could definitely use some love in terms of business activity. Feel free to hit me up or just make a ticket on PM Discord if there's any business you'd like to see on the lease list for July, I'm always open to consider any you might wanna see.
