learn english through gta world?

Recommended Posts

hey there, my question may sounds weird but i have to ask it

im searching a good text roleplay server and i’ve known gta world for a while, the text roleplay servers are pretty bad in my country, but unfortunatelly my english skills is a bit low

i mean I can understand most of the things, but I have a hard time expressing myself, you know

so my question is, is it possible to learn English while playing on the server? how accepting is the community with this? btw i already have an account

sorry for these strange questions, and thanks for your answers

gtaw can help, and the community is pretty accepting. you'll definitely face some difficulties though. roleplay in general is a good way to practice your english skills. just give it a try, there's nothing to lose, and everyone starts somewhere. most players will appreciate your efforts to communicate, and as long as your english problems don't affect others, no one is going to give you a hard time. good luck!

also, make sure to join our discord server. there are channels where you can ask questions.

Absolutely! If you have a basic understanding of English, you’ll be fine on GTA World. Many factions are welcoming and happy to accept players like you who are looking to improve their English and role-playing skills. The community is generally supportive and understands that not everyone is a native speaker.

Playing on the server will immerse you in English, allowing you to engage in real conversations and role-play scenarios, which is a great way to learn and practice. You’ll find that interacting with other players and participating in,  in-game activities will help you become more confident in expressing yourself.

So, don’t worry about your English level make sure you know how to roleplay and you'll be able to go with the flow.

Absolutely. If your English is good enough to make yourself understood, you'll have a good time here. We have a built-in grammar checker, which will greatly help with the process.

GTAW is one of the best Heavy Based Roleplay communities around. I have seen a lot of people who are coming from French / Turkey servers here and they improve so much overtime by just playing, typing, experiencing. People are also very welcoming, calm and willing to help you out if you need help regarding your language. There are a lot of Europeans too and people from other countries who's mother language isn't English yet they still managed to come to a level to speak it very well just by playing.

Assuming your English skills are sufficient enough to keep up with the pace of role-play (i.e. not having to rely on a translator to form role-play lines) then you should be totally okay. I think it's probably one of the best ways to learn another language.

Yeah, personally, there's probably about two to three people within my faction that borderline didn't know English when joining, and with a little help, it's kind of crazy to see how far they've come. It's definitely doable.
