Wuhtah
nah, keep them on the forums. It also helps the community raise issues to staff management and helps rewrite rules that some of us could mix up or could be punished differently by different admins. I like the transparency. Also helps other members see what's going on, what they can do to not break rules, etc. tldr: -1 keep calling us out respectfully to staff management if we do fuck ups so we can improve altogether as a staff team. 1 Link to comment
Vindicator
I'm on board with Wuhtah. I feel like player reports should stay on the forums. It allows for transparency, helps the community raise community-wide issues that involve everyone, and allows for accountability on the admins' side if we mess up and it's called out with staff management. I personally would prefer being made aware of a mistake through the appropriate channels. -1 > leave it on the forums. Link to comment

munnezza
I'd add the following additions: - UCP reports; - Ongoing reports are private; - An announcements page where only the outcome of the report is posted. This would satisfy everyone's exigencies. Link to comment

knppel
Transparency is a feat we should not lightly throw over board (even if realistically the dedicated report-readers will be a small minority in the playerbase in the end). Take in account this works two ways, and is not just about staff mistakes being called out when they happen, but just as much players': If reports were private without the public supervision, staff would have to deal significantly more petty reports full of claims people would not make in public (as then these claims could be countered easily with facts). We've tried this system with rpqm and I do think it's consensus this is not a particularly efficient (or just) design. Last not least, on my own behalf, I check the forums daily when I'm active, the ucp I access when I need it. Notifications there thus have the least success chance to reach me, with ingame and forum being frequented far more often. Link to comment
