Also the rules for only having 2 houses could stay in effect, I'm not suggesting that the rules be changed. There are at least two properties within the city that 50+ apartments available inside, one of them has 100+ available at this very moment, but they aren't reflected on the map that way and you literally have to drive around to search for them. I'm sure there are more. I'm not saying it's enough, but a clearer method for people to find these apartments would help the shortage as well. Edited June 21 by LatencyLord 1 Link to comment

It seems that it's not very common knowledge these properties exist. It literally takes someone driving around to find out. The properties on map.gta.world do not show them all and I think that's what people assume. EDIT: I'll also add since we're talking about people with more money, there are A TON of properties available at the Meteor Complex North/South across from Auto Exotic. The problem is that these are $250,000 and situated within a luxurious condo/apartment building, yet the interiors are standard apartment interiors you could get from a $80,000-$100,000 apartment in another area of the city. It should be a major hint that people don't see value in spending $250,000 for a non-luxurious interior that's not fit for the exterior of the building. This building has rooftop pools and stuff. Those interiors should be at least something more upscale and thus more attractive for people to spend their money on. That entire building is barely used. I ran through the whole thing the other day. Very few were actually purchased. Edited June 21 by LatencyLord 2 Link to comment

DLimit
Disabling /vpark is not a good idea. I've seen servers attempt this, forcing vehicles to park at locations that would make zero sense for their characters, and it just inevitably resulted in people being forced to park their vehicle across the map when they should be able to park their vehicles at their residency. It's a huge anti-QoL recommendation that has caused the literal demise of servers. Imagine having to park your vehicle at Legion Square only to run 10 miles back home? Not worth it. 1 Link to comment

You'd price out anyone who doesn't have time to grind this game more than 3+ hours a day. The whole point was so that everyone could afford these things with moderate effort. I shouldn't need to spend 8 hours a day in order to afford a house. You can't buy a house that isn't' for sale that is my point. More houses could be going up for sale if you just simply allowed people to sell houses for what they are actually worth. If a house is worth 3 million and they have only owned it for a period of time that only allows it to be sold for 1 million you think that person is going to sell that house? No they are just going to hoard the house even when they aren't using it or simply just rent it out. If you don't want to grind to buy a house buy one of the gazillion apartments available for market price. Price controls don't work they just create shortages. Price controls don't work they just create shortages. 99% of people on the server won't be able to buy a house even if it is for sale if you take off price controls. You're only going to have the 1% of people who can afford 5+ million dollar homes. Also, telling me to "just buy an apartment" because I don't have the OOC time to grind this game to achieve that wealth is a total cop out and you know it. Can I apply the same logic that you did? If there's a shortage to buy a house, just buy one of the gazillion apartments available for market price. You could even spend to your heart's desire to renovate it if you'd like. Eclipse RP tried uncapped housing. Guess what? Didn't work. The grinders got richer, houses got more expensive. Eventually any new player was priced out of ever having the option of buying a house unless they played 12 hours a day. They had to do an entire econ reset, including house prices. It doesn't work.
