View furnature names without property keys

Detailed Description

/furn should be usable by anyone in any interior. but not to map. there should be a new option in there that lets you click on an object and have it tell you what it is., or simply see the name of every object they hover over.

/furn

How will it benefit the server?
Will help mappers new and old find items faster

Issue with /furn is that it kicks the property into mapping mode, which would upset anyone using the interior at the time because it'll reload all the furniture suddenly. This cannot happen, so you'd need some sort of preview before entering mapping mode which, I don't know if it's possible, and I don't think would be worth the development effort?

I think we have plenty of opportunities to find items in the PM discord in the mapping support channel. I understand the motives for it, but the queries are usually answered by the hundreds of mappers in the discord, and we have item lists. Not to mention, now with furniture previews in the mapping menu, its much easier to come across these items too.

Open to ideas but, so far I'm a -1, I don't see the benefit outweighing the potential effort (but that's up to a dev, I ain't got a clue how long it would take).

perhaps a completely separate command that works similar to /dl? it would be cluttered but possibly effective.

I’m at a -1 on this one.

many reasons why it would be a bad idea.
it’s as simple as PMing someone and asking what the furniture name is if your unsure or wanting to use it for you own places.

having anyone use /furn in any interior could cause potential mapping bugs and much more.

but as Loma said above, it’s down to devs and what they think would be best suited

perhaps you don't know the owner of the property, to the property is server owned like the interior of an apartment loby. I see both of your points, but again, perhaps a desperate command similar to /DL could work

I mostly agree with this. That said if there was some type of command similar to /vex when at a player-run dealership that would give you the information about the furniture item your character is looking at, that could be helpful. I am unsure of the possibility of this with the dev team, but I can see it adding value as a quick way to identify furniture.
