The difference is that the same with SASP: The person who wants to roleplay a Park Ranger isn't the same person who wants to roleplay a Deputy who happens to sometimes be in the parks. It's two completely different factions that attend to people looking for completely different roleplays

Same with SAHP I presume. The person who wants to do Highway Patrol smuggling inspection on trucks and that type of roleplay isn't the same person who wants to be an SD deputy. Different scopes, different focus, different factions.

the point is there’s a whole different culture at play here, one cop isn’t synonymous as the other from a portrayal standpoint. the LSSD and LSPD perform virtually the same role and yet are as different as it gets operationally and traditionally

Sheriffs Department = county/state (island) wide patrols. Heed your advice and keep it civil, what's illegal RP got to do with spreading LEO RP thinner than what it already is? Just patrol the highways since you're already in SD.

Honestly… this logic is very easily combatted by again, drawing the comparison to illegal factions. Why do there need to be like 20 of them? They all do the same thing anyway. Consolidate it to 2-3 illegal gangs only so that illegal roleplay isn't spread so thin. 

 

The whole overextension argument doesn't really work. SAHP wouldn't make LEO factions suffer across the board by thinning the numbers or what have you.

i am keeping it civil, im showing you how your words can be applied to virtually anything dichotomous… the comparison can be made for any number of concepts on this server both illegal and legal. ur not in mongols because you don’t wanna rp a mongol, people in lspd are there because they want to be an officer not a deputy and vice versa 

 

leo rp isn’t spread thin, there’s a lot of people in the lspd and the lssd as it stands and neither would be hurt from the introduction of a small station from SAHP, which would offer the formative trooper experience that’s highly sought after

That's simply incorrect; when you break down an illegal faction, there's different internal politics. When you break down a legal faction, they're about copy & paste as you get.

Could not disagree more. The four LEO factions we have in this community are extremely different from one another in all aspects except the common goal of catching bad guys. Much like the illegal factions have a common goal of being bad guys.

I'm going to sound like an asshole; those that didn't make the cut from the merge of Park Rangers into SD were simply just not built for LEO RP to begin with. Either them just not understanding the fundamentals of being a oath sworn officer/deputy just to not comprehending basic laws and/or not having the capability to RP. It's cold cut to the simple grain of it just won't happen, SD controls and patrols the highways, county, parks and anything county based that I didn't cover; PD controls and patrols city based aspects from South Los to Vinewood from Mirror Park to Vespucci. All aspects of things are covered from already existing LEO concepts that already cover what you're trying to push your agenda forth.
