Lucky.
Hye Mafiya Armenian Power is a very sophisticated enterprise due to its dual street gang and higher organized crime aspects. A marriage of the old Italian Mafia and street gangs. They have power on the street based on young individuals, who pose as gangsters, along with other associates who do not get involved in the street gang, they have expertise in fraud, money laundering, and things of that sort. In 2011, Operation Blackout, a nearly three-year investigation conducted by the FBI's Eurasian Organized Crime Task Force in Los Santos, culminated in the arrests of 78 Armenian Power members on a variety of federal and state charges that include racketeering, drug trafficking, smuggling cell phones into prisons, and theft from the elderly. The group allegedly bilked victims out of at least $10 million. The arrests and indictments resulting from Operation Blackout had a significant impact on the operations of the Armenian Power gang. The group was left in a state of disarray, and the internal power struggle that ensued within the AP cell left two prominent senior members dead. Gevorg Gasparyan Gang After the death of Manny Karayan in 2015 and the incarceration of former street boss Artur Mikaelyan for fraud charges in 2017, Gevorg Gasparyan effectively takes control of the West Side Armenian Power Gang. He cements his status as sole czar of the Hye Mafiya, as him and his cohorts call it, by stringing close relationships with: The Yakut or The Russian, a New York-based Vor possibly originating from the region of Yakutia to whom Gevorg answers to. Muriel Topjian becomes the chain that links the two across the Western Hemisphere. In 2017, Sahak Muradyan a/k/a Sharp is convicted of several counts of conspiracy and is handed two consecutive life sentences. Sahak, once an Armenian Power street lieutenant, and the the legacy of the crew he championed was the target of a multi-day effort operation that stemmed from an increased criminal activity ranging between Morningwood, Hawick and San Fierro. Sahak & five other defendants pleaded guilty to charges of RICO conspiracy. In 2018, Saro Kasabyan, staunch AP capo that earned his reputation as a volatile leader, alongside Hazar Akopyan and Garen Mikaelyan, set up what becomes known in police affidavits as the South West Connection, a drug-gun triad between Armenian Power, The Mexican Mafia & ancillary street gangs. Saro would go on to become Gevorg Gasparyan's adjutant and the Armenians' representative with the Mexican Mafia, working remotely and at times hand-in-hand with Mesero Jesse Muro, aiding the prison-based organization in money laundering, fraud schemes and drug trafficking. In 2019, the Armenian golden age also saw new rising street lieutenants such as Hazar Akopyan & Levan Papazyan. Levan, a much hands-on gangster of dark character that handled Armenian Power's extortion ring by enacting burdensome shakedowns of local establishments and stores. Neal Terrance, a TV store owner recants to police sources: "He walked in with two unibrowed goons, yelling in a language I couldn't decipher and starts busting my TVs. Why? I couldn't pay the forty percent rate he demanded last month." Levan Papazyan and another associate are gunned down and killed months later after SWAT elements belonging to the Hawick PD storm an abandoned home in East Vinewood where he was hiding. Levan Papazyan, aged 31, was wanted for two counts of murder. His location was narrowed down after he made a phone call to his mother. West Side Armenian Power The turn of 2020 sees a new age for the Hye Mafiya as Edmond Ayvazyan and Movses Mansuryan are the purpose of a Department of Justice investigation into fraud schemes involving COVID-19 tests. According to court documents, the two Armenian Power soldiers conspired to obtain nasal swab specimens that enabled HCPL to test for COVID-19, as well as to obtain testing orders from physicians and other medical professionals, ordering testing via a local clinic they extorted, well aware that there was no medical justification for conducting RPP tests on asymptomatic individuals who needed only COVID-19 screening tests. Through HCPL, Mansuryan and Ayvazyan billed approximately $870,000 to the Health Resources and Services Administration COVID-19 Uninsured Program. In late 2020, over $500,000 worth of classic and premium cars were seized from Hawick Car Club storage warehouse. Founded in 2012, the car club is a staple among the Armenian population of West Vinewood and Morningwood, as well out-of-town car enthusiasts. Authorities have linked several cars to W/S Armenian Power's drug trafficking ring and allege the vehicles were purchased using fraudulent proceeds. Club managers and Armenian Power enforcers, Davit Poghosian & Hayk Nersisian were arrested in connection with a related vehicle registration theft operation. In 2021, Garo Parisyan a/k/a Boxer, an upcoming boxer in the Southern SA Amateur Boxing Championship and enforcer of Armenian Power is gunned down and killed in front of LBC 33, his father's boxing club. The slaying of Garo, case of mistaken identity orchestrated by members of East Coast Mafia Crips, sparks major unrest among the local Armenian gang members, fueled even more when a rapper from the same Crip gang that goes by the moniker of "FT MadMaxx" mockingly brags about his gang's deed in a rap song. The lyrics as follow: “Hop out the whip with a burner. Headshot. There go Boxer." A week after the song first premiered, Aren Davytan a/k/a Panic and another masked gunman enter a nightclub in Vespucci where rapper FT MadMaxx was partying and fire 33 gun shots, 33, in homage to the Parisyan boxing club. Six months after the shooting, Aren Davytan pled not responsible for his actions due to a psychiatric disease after he was arrested for the murder of Chino Mays a/k/a FT MadMaxx. His insanity plea would be accepted after verification from a forensic mental health professional. In early 2022, Serj Manukyan, cousin of George Gasparyan, is released after serving a six year sentence for his part with Mihran Aronyan in an internal conspiracy among a logistic companies’ executive, warehouse owners and truck drivers to smuggle hundred thousand of dollars’ worth of counterfeit and other illegal goods from China into the United States via the Ports of Los Santos & San Fierro. In late 2022, U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement’s ERO office removed Armenian citizen and AP mobster Benyamin Apkarian. Deportation officers transferred custody of Benyamin, aged 45, to Armenian authorities at the Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan. Apkarian who was arrested for his ties to the 2 Iraqi terrorists that perpetrated an attack on a Kosher marketplace in Doherty, San Fierro filed a motion to reopen his case with the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA). His motion was denied. In late 2024, Mikayel Marutyan, Narek Marutyan & Eric Margaryan, junior AP gang members, are picked up and detained after a mob-sweep outside the LS Panic Stadium. The trio were first seen in the stadium taunting and threatening San Antonio Spurs Center, Mehmet Osman, a Turkish-born basketball player that made controversial comments regarding the Armenian genocide. After the loss of their team in Game 4 Finals, the trio as they were leaving the arena instigated a major brawl between LS Panic & San Antonio Spurs fans. According to testimony, one of the three Armenians threw a chair and knocked out the Spurs mascot. Last Year On Christmas day 2024, George Gasparyan a/k/a Gremlin, street boss of West Side Armenian Power is arrested in his home for Drug Trafficking and Grand Theft Auto charges by Southern SA Drug Task Force (SSA DTF) as part of a greater scope investigation connecting him to leadership of Tejeda-Loya cartel. George Gasparyan, 42, allegedly organized and headed the connection that trafficked cocaine, heroin and marijuana from Tijuana into Southern San Andreas and as far as north as San Fierro and Sacramento along the I-5. Arnold Iannuzzi, American journalist and author who specializes in the coverage of mafia crime networks across America envisaged that the Armenian Mob is entering a new age with Gasparyan fighting his trafficking case. He speculates the rise of new acting bosses and lieutenants, the likes of Saro Kasabyan, Hazar Akopyan and Muriel Topjian. Edited Wednesday at 01:33 AM by Lucky. 29 Link to comment
