Toggling PMs/local /b

Recommended Posts

Maybe a donator perk? But be able to toggle PMs, and maybe make an inbox sort've deal. Same for /b, it would be nice to have this able to be toggled. It ruins screenshots/ can be annoying for some. Opinions? Obviously admins bypass. Maybe make a ping type of deal for those who toggled /b so they can be aware that someone is trying to /b them.

I feel like the ability to tog /pms could work with the exception of staff members of course. I don't think you should be able to tog /b though, like Akio said there is times where people need to read something in /b

You can block PMs with donator I think.

But it should be a normal feature. Sometimes I want to stay IC and ignore trolls but it gets frustrating when they PM me amidst a scene on my police character or when I'm doing some passive roleplay and don't want to text non-sense to people on the interim.

As for /b, it's a necessary evil. Cos if you toggle /b, then you will need a command like /importantb where you /b something in a bright color to flag its importance, but a) it'll get abused and b) it's annoying and unnecessary extra steps for the same thing. At best, maybe a cooldown on /b chatter? So people are more enticed to keep it to /pms and /f, things we could toggle?

So just pms. For everyone.

Omfg please. I can't stand the local /b chat being spammed with nonsense.

this, people going /b constantly breaks the flow and takes you out of the game, I shouldn't be forced to see a useless chat that's rarely ever used for it's intended purpose

As much as /b chat can be a pain, I can agree with you there but it's also quite essential to have to relay information that you need to see. If it's disabled and people need to get an OOC message across to you and both PMs and /b are off, then I feel people would result to using /do or another similar to relay information, misusing these to get information across and causing more problems.
