Recruitment - Job Description (Hangventurer) - Hangventurers are the backbone of the company. As a Hangventurer, you could be out in the ocean assisting a scuba diving tour, jumping out of airplanes on sky dives, guiding an off-roading excursion, amongst other customer-serving activities*. It all depends on the day! Hangventurers are expected to sign up for bookings that come through, at whatever your comfortability level is. Hangventurers also have the ability to work vehicle rentals and in the store if they'd like. * You will need to complete training/certifications with your manager prior to taking on scuba diving/skydiving bookings on your own. ---- Job Description (Sales Associate) - Sales Associates man the Hang Ten store, and they are just as integral as the Hangventurer. Sales Associates are expected to open up the store (with a manager present), as well as handle our numerous vehicles for rent. They may help do basic maintaining of vehicles (checking mileage/refueling/verifying registration and insurance paperwork are present) as well as the selling of merchandise. This role is for the applicant who does not want, or meet the criteria to go out on tours as guides. ---- Pilot - Hang Ten pilots provide customers with unique tours of the coast and countryside, aerobatic experiences, and assisting with skydiving/base jumping related activities. We also offer ultralight instruction courses where members of the public can learn to fly without a license. Pilots are provided with extra training to ensure they are comfortable with taking groups to various locations for jumps, sightseeing & making sure they get an adrenaline rush along the way. If they are interested in any other activities at Hang Ten, they are more than welcome to get involved. Pilots are expected to sign up to bookings to assist with activities, hold clean licenses as well as no criminal convictions. Extra training can be provided where necessary. Must have at least a rotor license, preferably both rotor & fixed wing & be willing to learn to fly the ultralights. Job Requirements - Sales Associates and Hangventurers - Must have/obtain valid Driver's License for the state of San Andreas. Must be at least 18 years old. Must have received a high school diploma or GED. Presents strong writing and communication skills. Must be able to follow precise instructions, especially the use of maps. Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs. Pilots - Must have/obtain valid Driver's License and Pilot's License for the state of San Andreas. Must be at least 18 years old. Our guides also receive 80% of the booking total on solo trips, or 40% of the booking total if done with a partner. Four dead after car plunges into the Alamo Sea Friday, 30th November 2018 LSFD Public Relations: Chloe MacKenzie Fire apparatus and police vehicles wait on shore while dive teams carry out their search. ALAMO SEA - At 23:03 on Thursday the 8th November 2018, the Los Santos Fire Department (LSFD) were notified by the Los Santos Police Department (LSPD) of a car that had come off the road and gone into the Alamo Sea while being pursued by law enforcement. A water rescue assignment was dispatched to the incident. On arrival firefighters and emergency medical technicians liased with the LSPD to establish that a green Karin Kuruma carrying four occupants had collided with the water at high speed and immediately sunk with the occupants trapped inside. Due to the amount of time the car had been underwater, crews weren't hopeful that there would be any survivors. A police helicopter marked the location by hovering over the water while specialist nighttime Diver teams from Rescue One made their way into the water in scuba diving gear, supported with rescue lines from crews waiting on shore. Dive team firefighters Chloe MacKenzie and Connor McMahon made their way to the vehicle which by that time had sunken to the seabed. The dive team breached the vehicle by smashing the driver side window, and brought the occupants out by hand. The green Karin Kuruma as spotted by the helmet cam of Engineer Chloe MacKenzie, while Firefighter Connor McMahon tried to open the driver's side door. All four persons (age/gender unknown) were declared deceased at the scene by the Los Santos Fire Department, confirming that the incident was no longer a water rescue but a recovery mission. The Fire Department handed the deceased over to the Los Santos County Department of Coroner and the incident was given to the Los Santos Police Department to carry out investigations. All fire and rescue resources concluded operations and cleared from the incident as of 23:46. Drive team Firefighter Connor McMahon rests after the challenging recovery mission.
