  1. This thread will showcase the life of 17 year old Cassiel Ofrey and his life after attempting to leave the gang scene in London, moving to America to try forge a new path for himself.
  2. E/S York Street 32 On 28 November 2007, a major offensive against gun crime by gangs in Birmingham, Liverpool, London and Manchester led to 118 arrests. More than 1,000 police officers were involved in the raids. Not all of the 118 arrests were gun related; others were linked to drugs, prostitution and other crimes. Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said it showed the police could "fight back against gangs". The early groups in the 1840s were family oriented and were typically composed of brothers, sisters, and neighbours. While petty crime rose everywhere during the 19th century in England, individual crimes differed from city-to-city and even persisted in rural areas. But gangs were not unique to deprived areas, and many arose in many working-class towns that were flourishing from trade. Early forms of gangs were based upon territory and locality rather than certain ethnic or religious affiliations, which tended to be the defining characteristics of gangs in the early 20th century. Many of the names of early British gangs included titles of local areas and streets, such as the Bengal Tigers who originated from Bengal Street in Manchester. The idea of “hooliganism” was used to describe these type of crimes committed by working-class youth, and drew great concern from the press and middle class during this time. "Scuttlers" was the specific term given to the perpetuators of these early, petty crimes. These factions were not highly organised, and most people drifted in and out of membership. However, the early development of petty crime with groups forming an identity for themselves through names and clothes helped create the framework for more organised crime groups that gained great notoriety throughout the early 20th century. What's A Roadman? A Brief Background Of The UK's Most Popular Style A term that you've likely heard before, be it in a song, on the Internet, or just in passing. It's an interesting word, and one that's associated with a very unique British sub-culture and style. As British culture and music is becoming more popular than ever in the US (rappers like Drake and A$AP Rocky are heavily influenced by what's going on in London), roadman style is working its way into US culture too. What exactly is a roadman? You'll find many a different definition online, but the general consensus is that a roadman is essentially a man about the town (typically anywhere from 16-40), who dresses, acts, and speaks (using slang like "tings", "mad", "man" "wahh guan" and more) in a particular way. A roadman is someone who's in the know about the culture, be it music, fashion, or sporting events... and who dresses in a very particular way. The gang's history starts back in 90's. The E/S York Street are a small, predominately African-American street gang located in North-East Vinewood. York street was founded in the early 90's, by the street boss Tate Brown who goes by the nickname of "MADD DOG #1". Tate Brown's family had British Origins, they emigrated to United States in 1975 due to the economic crisis that was going on at the moment in United Kingdom. Brown did found the gang in order to make some easy cash. The gang has been active since 1987, but it reached his peak in the early 00's, as the name started to appear in the local newspapers and news. Nowadays, the gang is known for drug trafficking, money laundering and armed robberies. On 17 September 1994, the street boss Tate has died in a shootout that happened right on Glory Way. At around 06:00 PM, Tate got into a shootout with the Police Department. The shootout ended up in the death of the street boss Madd Dog #1, and another 2 locals from York Street. His name is being mentioned even today in the local newspapers, everyone from the hood knowing who Tate "MADD DOG #1" Brown was. OOC Information: • The faction's main vision is to roleplay a realistic gang, inspired by the gangs that are based in UK. By that, we will allow characters that have British Origins but we won't tolerate roleplaying as fresh off UK or moving up from "Liberty City". •We focus a lot on our character development, if you fail to meet the requirements regarding this you will be removed from the faction without any hesitations. •Trolling, rule breaking players, always going on OOC and trigger happy members will be removed from the faction. We do not tolerate that in this faction. Anyone found breaking these rules will be removed from the faction without any warnings. •Once you join the discord and you officially come around the neighborhood and get to meet with the locals, you will give all of your rights to be Character Killed at any time. By this it means that we are allowed to CK your character, no matter what the circumstances are. •If you have any question in regards to joining, or if you got questions about the faction feel free to send a DM to @darkey or @palekos.
