  1. EPISODE #4: FRANCIS WINTERS AND CHLOE HAYES [As the episode starts, the screen fades in from black for those watching along – showcasing Sakura Mori, Francis Winters and Chloe Hayes in the WeStudios recording studio. The room is darker than usual episodes due to the evening time of recording. A WeStudios logo set proudly on the wall between the group]. Mori: “Well, welcome back to Track Record! Your favourite motorsports podcast in the State - giving you everything you need to know about motorsports in LS as well as hearing from all the big names in the game. From being in the cockpit to creating the cockpit, we leave no rubber marble unturned as we ask all the important questions. Now, it’s been some time huh? I had hoped to return to you guys sooner than this but more about what has had me occupied later! Happy New Year to all of our loyal listeners but also to any rookies tuning in for their first listen! This one is a spicy one, if I do say so myself!” [Winters keeps a little smirk on his lips as he listens to Mori's intro, his gaze set on her]. Mori: “Today I’m joined by not one but TWO guests— and whilst we will be exploring all about them and how they got where they are, we will also be covering some of the more interesting topics that maybe some of you didn’t know about the newest talent in the city. Both of my guests here are no strangers to being in the hot seat as they both race for some of the biggest teams in the city to date. You might have heard these names, I’d be more surprised if you hadn’t, they are ripping their way through the legal motorsports scene league by league. Chloe Hayes and Francis Winters – welcome to Track Record!” [Hayes smirks at Mori's introduction, before winking at the host, and widening her smile at Mori]. Hayes: “How's it goin', girl? Thanks for havin' me!” Winters: “Pleasure to be here today with both of you, that will be interestin' for sure.” Mori: “Hey now, Chloe, you know I couldn't wait to get you two on. You guys are like my closest friends in the scene right now!” [Mori chuckles, she shakes her head at Hayes before beaming a smile at the pair]. [Hayes chuckles alongside Mori, nodding her head]. Hayes: “A privilege, Kura! It's been fun havin' you around, so far.” Mori: “How are you feeling about the New Year then? You guys missed the on-season or were you thankful for the break?” [Hayes smiles at Mori, before shifting her gaze to Winters]. [Winters eyes at Hayes for a moment, he looks back at Mori before talking]. Winters: “It was clearly a good timin' for everyone I think. We could kinda feel the end of the season was hard on everyone. I know that CSC went for two seasons in a row without any break, that can take a toll on everyone, teams and even the staff. For my own perspective... The end of the year was a very eventful one with my debut and my new contract.” [Mori nods along as she listens intently, she beams a smile again as she looks over the desk]. Winters: “Add to that all the racin'... And the award ceremonies, it was just nice to finally take a step back to reflect on what I have achieved.” [Hayes nods along Winters’ words, before adding on them as he finishes]. Hayes: “Oh yeah, that break was more than welcome. For the mind, but also the body, man. It was gettin' hard on those last couple outtin's, to even get out of the car so yeah, that was needed.” [Winters looks toward Hayes once he's done with his own statement, listening to her carefully]. Hayes: “But, you know, the urge of goin' fast comes back no matter what so, I'm still glad we're back at it again.” Mori: “Yeah you're not kidding, you actually took the words right out of my mouth Chloe, as Meatloaf would say - we are going to be talking about the toll on body and mind later on in the session! I feel like you guys are thankful for the break but then are just itching to get back out. You never actually let yourself rest because whenever you sit still, you're thinking about going fast.” [Mori talks with her arm movements as she eyes the pair]. [Hayes nods rapidly at Mori's statement, smirking, before taking the lead this time around]. Hayes: “Oh yeah, can't be any closer to the truth than this, at last as long as I'm concerned. We're gettin' really busy durin' seasons, testin' the car, givin' feedback, keepin' the body in check. When you suddently stop like that, it leaves a gap I have to fill so, yeah. I can manage with a little bit of workout, chill trackdays and the like but, yeah. I can say I'm a little bit of an addict!” [Mori nods along as she chuckles at the end of the sentence]. Winters: “Well, I don't know for you Chloe but after one week, I was ready to get back into it!” Mori: “Typical racer!” [Winters lets out a soft chuckle as he looks at Hayes for a moment before eyeing back at Mori]. [Hayes smirks along Winters' words, nodding]. Winters: “But yeah, maybe it will change when I'll have more years behind the wheel, for now, I'm just like a little kid playin' with his new toys, I just can't have enough of it.” [Mori laughs, loudly at that]. Hayes: “Bad news man, I'm sixteen years in, and the itch is still there!” Mori: “Well we are so thankful to have you with us here today despite being fresh into the craziness of motorsports. How about I get this started by asking you both about your background. Frankie, let me start with you. Now, a little birdy tells me that you were a cop before any racing, that you worked your ass off to fund your motorsports career. Tell me more about that, was racing always the goal or did you fall out of love with the force?” [Mori raises a brow as she eyes Winters from across the table. Winters lets out another chuckle as he nods his head, a smirk appearing on the corner of his lips]. [Hayes opens her eyes slightly wider after hearing Winters' past, before titling her head, ready to listen to his words]. Winters: “Was it always the goal? No, not really. Like you said, I'm an ex-cop, I've been drivin' on those streets for almost seven years. Not gonna lie tho', I always loved cars and speed, yeah, even if I was chasin' those goin' too fast. But I guess that kinda make the driver I am today, safety always come first in my mind, I prefer to finish the races than riskin' all of it to win.” [A smirk grows on Mori’s face as she listens to him intently]. Winters: “But it all started when I was patrollin' one day and I saw two racin' cars at QuickFix actually.” Hayes: “Thanks for your service, dude. I bet you were a nightmare for those street racers.” Mori: “I mean, some would call you a hypocrite, not me of course. I guess some would see you as the guy that told them off for going too fast but then became the car going too fast. What is the difference between you and them?” [Mori tilts her head left and right knowingly of the weight of the question]. Winters: “Well, you said it in your intro.. I do it legally, that's the difference between them and us. And whenever I was pullin' someone over for speedin', I was always tellin' them to bring that on a track instead. We're lucky, we've got several of those openin' often in the city, either Cannonball or Full Throttle.” [Hayes nods at Winters' last words, in agreement]. [Mori nods along in agreement as she smiles widely]. Winters: “We even got a few kartin' venues now.” Mori: “I think the street racers largely underestimate the safe and legal opportunities they have in this city. Its, more welcoming than others!” Winters: “Totally... And I'm sure Chloe will agree with me... We know that urge to go fast, that adrenaline we get from it, but yeah, there's places to do it, safely.” [Mori turns her focus to Hayes as she nods along]. Hayes: “Oh yeah, I'm with you on this one, a hundred percent. Not only it's on a safe space where you won't hurt anybody who didn't ask for it, you have people there ready to jump to you in case of a crash. There's a couple crashes that Francis and I got involved in that would've end up /totally/ differently if we took that stuff in the streets. Hell, we might even not have been around to tell the tale.” Mori: “Even for me, I have had a few events at Cannonball whereas Nessa has asked me to medical. With my previous EMT history. I can't imagine what would have happened if it was on a cliffside, or even the highway. You know? Like when you work for a legal agency, you've seen it all. You've seen the street race turned mass deadly, it isn't pretty.” Winters: “I've seen it too many time in my years in the force, sadly.” [Hayes nods once at Mori's words, slightly pouting]. [Mori eyes Winters as she shakes her head]. Hayes: “I'll believe you two on that. I'm thankful enough not to have to get to do this in the streets and, to whoever listens to this and wants to get out of the streets. Just reach out, man. We'll welcome you on the tracks with open arms.” [Mori nods firmly at that]. Mori: “You heard her! You know where we are, and if you don't hit us up on Facebrowser where we will welcome you with open arms to listen anytime!” [Mori flashes a smile at the pair before getting ready to move on]. Winters: “Best place to meet people with the same passion too.” Hayes: “Yeap!” Mori: “Chloe you are what we classed as a rookie in this city last season but you’ve got sixteen years’ experience of racing cars door to door behind you. Tell me more about how you got where you are now? What happened in those sixteen years that determined your current position?” [Mori eyes Hayes before taking a sip of her water, clutching it in hand as she listens to her response]. Hayes: “Well, I pretty much had to dive into somethin' to keep my sanity, when I was a kid. I got both very, veeeeery Christian parents and, my dad was followin' a lot of pro racin'. He put me in a go-kart at like, what... Fifteen? Sixteen? Around that and with me comin' out the closet and essentially got pushed away by them, I only had motorports with me as a base so, yeah. Fueled that anger towards my parents, into racin' and, he got me somewhere, I'd say.” [Hayes gently smiles at Mori, before continuing]. [Mori simply nods in awe as she listens]. Hayes: “National kartin', Indy juniors, GT racin'... And then Los Santos.” [Winters grabs his water in front of him, drinking another small sip from it as he continues to listen to Chloe]. Mori: “Do you think you /have/ to be pushed into karting to make a success of it? These days at least.” [Mori asks Hayes curiously as she eyes her]. [Hayes bobs her head from side to side as she puts her answer together in her mind, before spitting it out]. Hayes: “Back in the day, I would've said yes, that kartin' was the way to go to get into higher level stuff. But now? I ain't too sure, those kids have lots of tools in their hands, like those racing simulators that you can just, plug a steerin' wheel and a set of pedals on a computer, and have some quite decent feelin', and learnin' out of those games.” Mori: “Yeah, not kidding. If you know who Jimmy Broadbent is, you know what we are talking about!” [Mori chuckles at that, shaking her head]. Winters: “Or Jann Mardenborough. I urge anyone to watch Gran Turismo's movie, that's a true story.” Mori: “That is still on my list, Kai— its got to happen.” [Mori points to a figure behind the camera with a smirk]. Winters: “And well... I'm the livin' proof that's possible, at least in the racin' scene here in LS... I've no kartin' background... I got in a racin' car for the first time only a few months ago and here I am.” Hayes: “Yeap. And the really rad thin' about those simulator is that we can see all sorts of talents showin' up that wouldn't be around otherwise because, let's be real... Racin' ain't cheap at all.” [Hayes does lots of hand gestures as she talks, clearly engaged in the ongoing conversation]. Mori: “Not at all, which is how we now get background stories like our Frankie here who's story is one of the more complicated and deep rooted for that passion. Working your way into it with no racing background other than serving our great country!” [Mori downs a firm nod to Winters before eyeing her laptop]. Winters: “It's all 'bout the passion.. And we're lucky enough here in LS to have a very welcomin' racing scene. Go to the races, talk with the teams, you never know, that's how I got my opportunity.” Hayes: “And look at you, beatin' my ass like you were doin' this for years.” [Hayes chuckles at Winters, before shaking her head]. [Mori laughs at the pair before speaking again]. Mori: “Well, on that, you both race for some of the biggest teams in the city to date - Crowex Motorsports and Adagio Auto Exotic. We have heard so much about a massive rivalry within the scene that is Miller and Martini.” [Winters eyes back at Hayes as he lets out a chuckle, giving her a little pat on the shoulder]. Mori: “But I also think it is about time we explored another that is upcoming and surpassing the elders, taking a deserved turn in the spotlight. How do you both feel out there, friends outside the drivers seat or does the rivalry extend further to ignite the desire to be the best. Frankie, you enlighten me first.” [Winters looks at Hayes for a moment as he ponders his answer, he finally looks back at Mori]. Winters: “Personally, anythin' that happen on the track, stays on the track. As much as I want to be the best and compete out there with them and give it all I can, I know we're all doin' this for the same reason, you know?” [Hayes nods along Winters' words, listening to him carefully]. Winters: “I'm just not the kind of driver to bring that kind of attitude outside of the cockpit, that's just not how I am.” [Mori nods also as she listens]. Winters: “And I know what it takes to get there and to perform.. So I've the outmost respect for all of them.” Mori: “I think a few of the big names could take a page out of your book Francis. I've been told before how having the heat outside the car is normal for a professional racer. Imagine that.” Winters: “Well, maybe it's my background as an ex-cop talkin' there.. I've been deescalatin' situations all my life.” [Mori tilts her head left and right as she ponders what he said. Finishing it off with a nod]. Hayes: “I mean, bein' heated about somethin' that didn't go your way, or because you had beef with someone durin' the race can happen, we're all humans and I'm the first one bein' out of my mind, at times but. We're grown ups, we can settle all this without throwin' respect out the window, you know.” [Mori nods along as Hayes adds to the topic]. Mori: “I can see it both ways, both the passion you guys have for the sport and the fact that having heated discussions never end positively. Well, time for a little shameless plug from me. I said at the start that this episode had an element of delay to it. Well time I gave you a little insight to what has been happening on the Kura track.” [Winters nods a few more times as he agrees with both of them, drinking another sip from his water]. [Mori chuckles to herself before continuing]. Mori: “As some of you may or may not know, I have been the race director for a brand new racing league within the state, Rallycross. This is a series that has never been done before and is brand new to our community. Inspired by Rallycross in Europe, the series is a fusion of tarmac and off-road trails as you race door to door in the iconic Issi Rally. Something that I have given my absolute all to for the last few weeks and we have just had event number three of our five event season.” [Hayes readjusts her position on the chair, and replaces her headphones lightly as Mori is speaking]. Winters: “Very successful events, I must say.” Mori: “Alongside RX, CMSA has introduced the GT3 Pro series, a league of which both of our guests today race in. Chloe, Frankie, how are you finding the league? You both fast-tracked your way into this through your experience with CMSA in other leagues. Is it everything you had hoped for and more? In terms of the atmosphere and door to door racing. Chloe firstly?” [Mori finishes speaking with a nod, she tilts her head slightly as she eyes Hayes with a smile]. Hayes: “Well, as a pure fan of the sport, both GT3 and Rallycross are rad, girl. Havin' different disciplines is really nice and, it's good for the whole scene. As a driver, well... Even if my own season is quite a bit off of what I wanted it to be, I am still havin' lots of fun goin' through it and, I'll be sad whenever this comes to an end.” Mori: “Honestly the way RX took off was even a surprise to me, and thank you— Frankie. Its honestly been so interesting seeing both very different series side by side. How are you finding it?” [Mori eyes Winters with a smile as she nods to Hayes whilst talking. Winters nods a few more times before taking his turn]. [Hayes smiles back at Mori, before turning her attention towards Winters]. Winters: “Well, sadly, the RX series wasn't really possible to put in my current schedule, but I've been an avid fan of it, you clearly won me with this one.” [Mori beams a proud smile as she downs a respectful nod to Francis]. Winters: “When it comes to GT3, it was one hell of a challenge for me to adapt I must say. Before that, I've always race in stock cars series, which are very different. Just the fact everyone are drivin' exactly the same car is quite a difference. So it's the first time for me where the car might do the difference, even if you're drivin' your best.” [Mori nods along as she listens to Winters]. Winters: “I know there's rules to mitigate the difference between cars... But performance will always differ from one track to another one.” Mori: “And the tracks really have been all over huh? You guys were out racing in the desert and then the very next week you were in the heart of the city. Do you guys have to change your driving style for those atmospheric differences?” [Mori addresses both of them]. Winters: “The biggest difference is actually what the tires are touchin'... In the desert, the road was all slippery with the sands and whatnot, I can say the weight of the Paragon didn't like it at all... And the next one, in the streets, it was all bumpy. Which suited my car more than others, and it's like that at every events, so we do have to adapt, but it all depend on the car you have in your hands.” [Hayes nods along Winters' words, looking for a gap to jump in and get involved with the discussion]. Hayes: “Yeah, and that's the beauty of GT racin'. The Paragon he drives compared to the Comet S2 I have have completely different strengths so, yeap. It's less about changhin' your drivin' style and, more of analyzin' where you have the upper hand on other cars, and abuse the hell out of it”. Mori: “You guys are scary when you talk racing.” [Mori chuckles to herself]. Hayes: “Your fault for invitin' us, hun.” [Hayes chuckles along, playfully so]. [Mori smirks, she shakes her head]. Mori: “Good job I love the spice then, ey?” [Winters chuckles along as well as he drinks another sip from his water]. Mori: “Speaking of spice, let me get a bit personal with you both— because, why wouldn't I huh?” Winters: “It's your show after all.” Mori: “Good answer, you know it is.” [Mori winks at the camera before bursting out laughing, shaking her head before talking again]. Mori: “Now, I’m not one to try and mix personal lives with professional but it is no surprise as big names in legal motorsports for the state, you guys are under the spotlight socially. Francis, you have been subject to a lot of commotion on Facebrowser for your relationship, something for everyone else that is deemed less of breaking news material. How does it feel, to be a public figure receiving hate for something that can be deemed a human right? To date who you wish to openly without backlash. Is there pressure to be a spotless ornament?” [Hayes looks over at Winters with a slight worried look, apparently learning things as they come]. [Winters takes a deep breath as he looks at Mori, pondering on his answer for a few seconds]. Winters: “Well, it is certainly somethin' totally new for me, to deal with.” [Mori nods along as she listens to him, eyeing him sorrily]. Winters: “But... We also have the responsibility that comes with our position. We're the face of our teams, our sponsors and we always need to keep that in mind whenever we're dealin' with the public.. And well, even more on social media.” Mori: “That's a lot of pressure, I don't know how you do it.” Winters: “Obviously... I wasn't expectin' for people to get that... interested in my private life that much, it was quite a surprise.” Mori: “Its just that handsome racer effect that Lando Norris has, it seems. Lots of upset ladies in the city.” [Mori attempts to make light of the conversation]. [Hayes nods along, with a rare serious face]. Winters: “But I get it... Fans, they can emotional and they are, sometimes, even more passionate than we are. I mean... Look at Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift..” [Mori nods seriously at Winters before eyeing Hayes to speak]. Mori: “Have you ever had an issue with this Chloe? How does it feel to be deemed a public figure? Is there a feeling of pressure to be perfect or are you allowed to make mistakes like the rest of us humans? Unless you racers are aliens after all, that is.” [Hayes nods once at Mori, keeping her serious face on as she takes the mic, so to speak]. Hayes: “Of course, we're all runnin' into drama when we're gettin' recognized, and becomin' role models, or targets to people. And, with me bein' open about my sexual orientation, I get that stuff on a regular basis. And as much as I want to take this—" [Mori nods along as she listens intently to Hayes]. Hayes: “-- matter in my own hands, those kind of people just try to get you to slip, to feed even more drama. So, yeah... Most of times, lookin' over all that hate is the way to go.” Mori: “It must be so hard, having to like, second guess your actions constantly.” [Hayes nods firmly at Mori, before bouncing back on the statement]. [Winters nods a few more times, letting Hayes bounces back, waiting for his turn]. Hayes: “Oh yeah. Hard because you don't feel genuine. You have to tone your language down, ignore people when you wouldn't for your own sake... And the fact that what you're gonna do, is not only gonna impact you, but your team, your sponsors... Everyone.” [Mori nods with a frown as she dreads the idea, eyeing Winters briefly]. Winters: “I know I often bring that back on the table, but fortunately for me, my years as a cop kinda help me to deal with that. As a cop, all your actions are constantly watched by everyone, it just become a second nature if I can say. But like Chloe said, there's a whole new layer now, and it's the fact it doesn't just affect us.. It can affect a lot more people around us.” [Hayes nods at Winters, before smiling at the man]. Hayes: “And that's why I think havin' a good feelin' about each other, out the track, is super key like... I don't feel like I have to hold anythin' when I talk to you, or Eric, or my teammates...” Mori: “Yeah, that properly set you up for the media and the public I can imagine. Well, thinking about you both and the mental toll this can have on you, let me touch on that—" [Mori takes a sip of her drink before reshuffling in her seat to talk]. Mori: “You guys are racing in the pro series, somewhat a whole lifestyle change, in terms of your training regimen and mental preparation. What are some of the mental and physical training techniques you use to stay focused and perform at your best during races? Chloe, give us some insight into the demands of professional racing.” [Hayes nods at Mori, putting back an idle smile as she answers her host's question]. Hayes: “Well, physically, there's quite some work to do when you're at that level. You'd be surprised about how many people can keep a fast car pointin' the right way for hours. But the fact is, it's as physical as any other sport. Core strength, cardio, wrists, legs, neck... Especially the neck, I'd say.” [Mori nods, she folds her arms as to ensure her attention is solely on Hayes]. [Winters listens to Hayes' answer as he nods a few times]. Hayes: “The mental side is mainly about sharpenin' reflexes and used to bein' uncomfortable for a long period of time because it's gettin' hot in the cockpit. I recall losin' a couple pounds after the very first GT3 races, out in the desert, by sweatin' alone.” [Mori shudders briefly at the thought, she smiles though, looking to Winters]. Mori: “Frankie how about you? Does that sound about right or do you do things differently? Though, I'd love to sweat a nice amount away.” [Mori chuckles at that]. Winters: “I mean, I dare anyone sayin' profesionnal drivers aren't athletes to go on youtube and look at any drivers trainin' session.” [Hayes shifts her gaze to Winters after a chuckle, addressed to Mori]. Winters: “And that's just the physical part of it.. I always kept myself in good shape because of my job but when I started to race, I had to bring all that to a whole new level. Luckily for me, with Crowex, I've got access to personal trainer and all the equipments needed for that, and I make full use of it. When it comes to the mental part, it's all 'bout bein' able to keep the focus, even when tired, even when you've Chloe Hayes closin' down on you and pushin' you.” [Mori smirks between them as she eyes them both and the way they bounce off each other]. Winters: “Because... It takes only one second, between makin' that next corner or puttin' it into the wall. I mean... Probably less than a second.” [Hayes smirks at Winters, before gently backhanding his right bicep in a playful manner]. Mori: “Yeah no kidding. I'll never forget that interview with Daniel Ricciardo where they asked if his sweat was real. His response was by far the best. You guys /ARE/ high performance athletes, to quote him. Anyone who disagrees can speak to you guys!” [Mori snorts as she laughs, shaking her head]. Hayes: “Danny Ric' is a legend, to me. That dude is the prime example of livin' the life. He knows the chance he has so, he's enjoyin' it fully.” [Mori beams a smile as she composes herself]. Mori: “Exactly that! The guy makes me cry laughing.” [The pair whisper between themselves, the mic just about catches their conversation – along with Mori]. Hayes [lowly]: “Nicoooooooo...” Winters [lowly]: “Huuuuulkenberg.” [Mori rubs her race as she smirks at the pair hushing the golden words]. Mori: “Or when he bounced the hopper off Lando's head.” [Mori pauses for a moment, chuckling to herself as she redirects herself]. Mori: “Okay okay now I'm getting sidetracked. That being said, you guys would love to have moments like that!” Hayes: “I think we have some of those, but thankfully we are not as filmed as those two are!” Mori: “Unluckily for us, I'd pay to watch those behind the scenes moments.” Hayes: “Los Santos Insider, you know what to do.” Winters: “There's always some fun goin' on in the paddocks, that's for sure.” Mori: “So to end, why don’t you both tell me something you have learnt from the sport, something that helps you in your life outside of the track? Frankie?” [Mori eyes Winters as she smiles, ushering them back on topic]. Winters: “Damn... That's some question you would get in a job interview, the tricky one, you know?” Mori: “Didn't I tell you? I'm hiring.” [Mori smirks]. [Winters lets out a chuckle as he grabs the water, drinking a longer swig from it this time, letting himself the time to ponder on the question]. Hayes: “That one that lowkey looks like nothin' but, decides your fate.” Mori: “Hey, all you have to do is be honest, if you get the job is not in my hands.” [Mori smirks at Chloe. Hayes smirks along, before tilting her head towards Winters]. Winters: “I'll go with a quote you often hear on the racin' scene... You’re only as good as you’re last race. And for me it only means... You might have a bad race, but you need to be able to delete it from your short term memory and think 'bout the next one.” [Mori nods along at Winters as she smiles]. Winters: “And I think there's a lot of that in our life.” Mori: “That the same for a bad day?” Winters: “Yep, exactly. Nothin' worse than overthinkin' about a bad situation, it will never bring anythin' good.” [Hayes nods along, smirking at Winters]. Mori: “Yeah not kidding. Life is too short to have regrets. Chloe, how about you? Anything you learnt from racing that you use day to day?” Hayes: “I was also about to mention the importance of losin' but, for the sake of not bein' borin', Ill get another point across.” [Mori beams a smile at Hayes]. Hayes: “And that would be about recklessness. See, we have a good amount of junior drivers at Adagio Auto Exotic and, as I'm the old dog here, I tend to mentor over them and yeah, kids nowadays are into an "everything needs to happen now" and, sadly motorsports is cruel. There's so many drivers, for only one crown and, it can be hard to stay into it but if you're passionate about it, and you hang onto it, your day will come.” [Winters nods a few more times at Hayes' statement]. Mori: “I love that. And overall, life is cruel. Life has its tests for us and those are the tests that make us stronger. Patience. Being patient always provides opportunities to learn. Every day is a learning day!” [Mori smiles as she talks, using her hands to gesture once more as she takes a drinks of her water]. [Hayes nods along with a smile on her lips, looking over to Winters]. Winters: “I've a question for Chloe 'bout that... And maybe she can ask the same question to her young drivers and see their answers.” Mori: “Go ahead!” Winters: “What's the first thing you need to do... To win a race?” Hayes: “Oh ho, who's the host now? I'm confused.” [Hayes smirks playfully at the two, before answering Winters]. Mori: “Ey, don't get it confused.” [Winters lets out a chuckle as he looks at Mori for a moment before focusing back on Hayes]. [Mori smirks as she narrows her eyes at them]. Winters: “Kura is hirin'... Maybe I'll steal her job instead.” Mori: “Watch yourself young man.” [Mori laughs]. Hayes: “You know the sayin', dude. In order to finish first.. First you have to finish.” Winters: “Exactly.” Mori: “You know, somehow I knew you were going to say that Chloe.” [Mori shakes her head as she looks back between the pair]. Winters: “Well, sometimes, young drivers, tend to forget that... Even if that's the most simple thing in Motorsport. They go for that do or die mentality instead.” Hayes: “Oh yeah, and I won't blame them for bein' hungry, to be fair. But there's wantin' it, and not carin' about who's on the track with you.” [Mori nods at that]. [Winters nods a few more time as he looks at Mori]. Winters: “So, I got the job now?” [Winters cackles]. Mori: “Well that depends, can I have my job back so I can finish us up.” [Mori cackles along with him]. Winters: “Okay, okay.” [Mori rolls her eyes playfully as she shuffles closer to the mic]. [Hayes shakes her head, smirking as she glances at the camera]. [Winters grins toward her as he grabs his water, hiding his smile behind it as he drinks another sip]. Hayes: “I am in distress, please send help.” Mori: “Its that time. Get your calendars out people, you can spot Francis Winters and Chloe Hayes racing in the next GT3 Pro race this Sunday on the tenth! Well, you guys, this has been a rollercoaster of an evening - huh? Any final words before I close us out? Special mentions?” [Mori looks between the pair as they say their final words]. [Hayes nods at Mori next, coming back to her, and nods at their host]. Hayes: “That'll sound corporate but, that's the truth. I'd like to thank the sponsors, especially Adagio's, Auto Exotic. And the fans comin' to watch, because, without those two, we wouldn't have that kind of infrastructures, and fundin' to do what we love. You're important guys, and we love you all.” [Mori creates a heart with her hands to the camera]. Mori: “We love the fans!” [Mori returns her eyes to Winters with a beam of a smile]. [Hayes smirks at Mori's heart sign, and looks at the camera before winking at it. She then comes back to Winters]. Winters: “And well, thank to you, Kura and Kai for havin' us tonight, it was awesome to talk all together about what we love the most, racin'.. And obviously a big thanks to my team Crowex Motorsport, without them, I wouldn't be here today! Can't wait to be next sunday and back on the track to fight with you again, Chloe, and to entertain all the fans that will show up.” Hayes: “Oh yeah, that podcast was super fun! If you wanna do it again Kura, you know I'm a phone call away.” Winters: “Watch out, she might be the one tryin' to steal your job now..” Hayes: “And we'll definitely go at it, for sure. I like you man but, you'll get no mercy.” Mori: “Pshh, you guys know I'd have you back any day of the week. But if you come for my job we will have to settle it on the track.” [Mori smirks as she eyes them both]. [Winters looks back at Hayes with a smirk on his lips. Hayes smirks along Winters, before extending a fist towards the man. Winters fistbumps with Hayes before looking back at Mori, still one wide grin on his lips. Hayes smiles warmly at Winters, before focusing back on Mori whilst she just admires the friendly exchange]. Mori: “Well there we are, a massive thank you to you guys for joining me today and going through the rounds with me as I quizzed you relentlessly. These dual episodes really put us all through the ringer but you made is so enjoyable! I really appreciate you both! Just to close, I appreciate the patience of the listeners and the viewers for letting me get Rallycross underway. There isn’t very long left in the season so my sporadic activity should be coming to a close and – well. I have some big episodes coming up and in the works! I was your host, Sakura and this was the Track Record podcast presented by the incredible WeStudios! Drive safe and see you next time! Bye now!” [Mori waves at the camera as she beams a smile with the pair]. Hayes: “Have a good one, guys! And stay safe.” [Winters would wave his hand and sending a thumb up toward the camera as well at the end]. [Hayes grants the camera a two finger salute, with a smirk and a wink]. [The video fades to black as the group salute the end of the podcast episode, the audio cuts shortly after as their smiles eventually leave the screen]. Leave a review or feedback below! 6. SCOOBY TRAUMA SNACKS | Roommates 1x02 Welcome to Roommates, a podcast about two friends who are totally deranged. Follow us on Facebrowser: @Faith and @Paulina [The Roommates' intro starts playing] [The two women talk through a video call, each in different rooms. They appear to be talking from their laptops.] [Faith talks with a monotone voice throughout the podcast.] [Paulina talks with a mix of an American English accent and a Spanish accent.] Paulina says: “Hello everyone~ Welcome back to Roommates!” Faith says: “And they were roommates!” Paulina says: “First of all… We want to thank everyone that watched or listened to our first episode! We weren’t expecting so many listeners on our first edition. The response has been so amazing and it motivates us to keep going with this!” Faith says: “Seriously, I want to thank everyone that has supported our podcast. The attention that it received has blown us away.” [Faith blinks, enabling Paulina to assert herself into the conversation.] Paulina says: “It was our first time doing something like this. We’ve received some comments about it being too chaotic… I honestly love that— But, I know it can be too much for some people. We’ll try making our best effort to talk about the topic but we’re two bitches with ADHD, we’ll try.” Faith says: “It’s the autism for me — not ADHD. We’re twice as much trouble together, that’s no doubt. In other news, during today’s podcast, we will be discussing a more sensitive topic — something that has personal meanin’ between the both of us.” Paulina says: “It kinda has a cold feel to it… Just like winter—” Faith says: “Speakin’ of which, I might have modeled for a Winter Collection. Have you ‘aerd of Freuler?”. Paulina says: “What is a Freuler, Faith? Tell me.” [Paulina side eyes Faith as she teases her. She fixes her hair behind her ear.] Faith says: “Paulina—I am so glad that you asked, girl! Because today’s sponsor is Freuler.” Faith says: “Freuler is a Swiss manufacturer and retailer of luxury watches, jewelry, and accessories. Widely regarded as one of the most prestigious jewelry manufacturers in the world—there’s no doubt that Freuler has stamped its mark within Los Santos’ fashion industry.” Paulina says: “I bet he stamped his mark in Los Santos and some other things too—” [Faith’s perception rolls as a reactionary force to Paulina’s allegation.] Faith says: “We've got ourselves a comedian over ‘ere. Why don’t you tell the audience more about today’s sponsor?” [Paulina talks mimicking advertisement-like tone of voice.] Paulina says: “Freuler is preparing their new Winter Collection. Featuring a wide variety of watches, and manufactured accessories. Make sure to check their online store at freuler.live as well as their Facebrowser to keep up with new product releases!” Faith says: “Yet another reminder, Freuler’s Winter Collection is coming soon to their store. We better see you at the next openin’, dears.” Paulina says: “After all this selling out, let’s move onto the topic of today’s episode. I think this is something most people will find interesting and relatable.” Faith says: “We’re goin’ to be discussin’ intergenerational trauma—and more importantly, intergenerational trauma as POC women.” Paulina says: “In other words, toxic parents… I think us two have had our fair share of experiences. I remember staying up until late and just being like… Oh my god! Same! whenever we were talking about this.” Faith says: “In the simplest words, intergenerational trauma is a concept developed to help explain the years of generational challenges within families. Paulina and I, in particular—we have dealt with our fair share of toxicity with our parents. More than enough to dedicate an entire podcast episode about it, even.” [Faith issues a singular depressing laugh into the podcasts’ microphone. Paulina laughs alongside Faith, being her usual optimist.] Paulina says: “We should take the 16 personalities test live. That would spark so much conversation about so many themes… But that’s an idea for another time! Going back to our topic, I do have a good relationship with my parents right now. But, I was a terrible teenager. I couldn’t care less about school and I brought around some terrible boys. I think I was that way just to make my parents mad because I felt I had to “stand my ground”... Whatever that means.” [Paulina does quotation marks with her fingers. She sighs.] Paulina says: “It was kind of a you treat me wrong, I treat you worse… You end up being caught in this terrible dynamic. Specially with my mom… My parents moved from Veracruz to San Diego to give my brother and I better opportunities in life and it was just a few years ago, when I graduated, that I was able to appreciate it. My brother and I were the only ones that spoke English so we had to help them sign documents and other stuff like at the doctor’s office. We felt like we were responsible for them, instead of the other way around… I guess that’s why I behaved like that when I was in my fourteens to sixteens.” Faith says: “It is an endless cycle—I had an opposite experience. You had to “stand your ground,” whereas I tried to perform an act as a perfect daughter. For context, I have not had contact with my biological mother, nor father since childhood. I was fortunate enough to be raised by my aunt. When you are rescued from an abuse household—anyone that has been in that situation recognizes that you would do anythin’ to appease your rescuers.” [Faith expresses a compassionate and understanding expression to the audience, conversing her parental struggles with Paulina.] Faith says: “Whether it be workin’ a part-time job, constantly babysittin’, parentification—I am grateful for the opportunities that my aunt blessed me with. I think that I will always view her as my mother, even. There has always been a part of me that has wanted a conventional, traditional family for these reasons—to amend these generational wounds that I experienced as an innocent child.” Paulina says: “That makes a lot of sense. I think when we grow up in households like this we are always wishing for something different. We had to grow through insecurity, instability, scarcity, constantly worrying about money… And often in these households, because of these issues, we are invalidated as people since we are the ones that have to provide in the future. You get what I mean?” Faith says: “Of course—I understand where you’re comin’ from entirely. Due to these upbringings that are unstable, I think it’s commonplace that children of emotionally unavailable parents develop substance abuse issues. It’s almost natural for a co-dependency to innately develop in their adulthood relationships—it’s unfortunate but without these nurturin’ resources, children are unable to build these necessary skill sets without parental guidance.” [Paulina nods and reassures Faith as she talks.] Paulina says: “This topic really frustrates me because you know it’s their traumas that are being imposed onto you. This came from their own parents and the way they were treated as children. In my household, mental health was never a topic that was taken seriously until my brother and I grew up. Not just in my household, but overall many latino households. There’s so much stigma with mental health and the older generations… I feel it’s because they don’t want to open any wounds they already healed— Badly, but healed.” Faith says: “And I am askin’ because I am curious—if you were given the opportunity to discuss mental health, do you think that it would’ve tied your family closer together? Do you believe that this instability would lessen, in your eyes?” [Paulina takes a few seconds for herself to reflect.] Paulina says: “Any time we tried to mention anything related to mental health, our parents would distance themselves. As if they suddenly didn’t understand what we were saying. Was it the same with your aunt?” Faith says: “When I was in preschool, I was still livin’ in Davis with my biological parents. They were reluctant in believin’ my teacher’s concerns related to my inability to play with the other children, and the fact that I would be unwilling to talk whatsoever. I was unable to have a voice with them, I think that sayin’ that they disregarded the importance of mental health would be an understatement.” [Faith’s perception averts downwards, with her entailing sentiment that indicates to the woman’s sorrows regarding the topic.] Faith says: “In many ways, I was figuratively and literally voiceless. It was not until I was rescued by my aunt that I acquired an autism diagnosis, and I could properly begin to transition into a sense of normalcy. It is not until someone— anyone in your family breaks those intergenerational trauma patterns that you as a child can begin healin’ alongside your family members.” Paulina says: “That’s something I’m very glad for. Our generation is more open to talk about these issues without sweeping them under the rug. And as time goes on, older people become aware of the importance of mental health and are willing to search for help without feeling judged by their peers. Here in the US, it’s even becoming the norm… to visit the psychologist. But on the other side of the Americas, it’s a completely different thing.” [Paulina remarks her last words with her voice.] Faith says: “Every person that we meet is either repeating a cycle of generational trauma—or carryin' the burden of breakin' cycles. It is unfortunate that in older generations, those that suffer from mental health-related issues are perceived as those that are the ‘black sheeps,’ in the household. Nowadays, it has started becomin’ the norm to seek psychiatric methods but within certain cultures and societies, it feels as if psychiatric treatments are viewed as a forbidden fruit—an objective myth of sorts.” Paulina says: “There’s another topic related to generational trauma that just— ANGERS me. The Machismo… Sexism. It’s the stereotypical situation where the men are outside, drinking beer or whatever and women are in the house taking care of it. Every time my parents invited people over, my mom and I would be the ones cleaning the house, setting the table, cleaning the dishes, asking guests if they wanted something to drink. While my brother and my dad would just be there enjoying themselves. I always asked myself why they didn’t help us with these tasks and whenever I was vocal about it my mom would just shush me and say that it’s the way it is.“ Faith says: “Machismo has inevitably affected the way that women are portrayed in society and has negatively impacted our access to healthcare—I wholeheartedly relate to your experience. Whereas my male cousins were allowed to act as regular children, I was expected to babysit, clean, cook—act as a mother figure to my older cousins, even. When you’re a woman, I think that you are perceived as an entity that develops quicker than the men in your household.” [Faith’s empathization radiates volumes during her verbalization, accompanied by her gesturing excessive hands in their wafting motions.] Faith says: “I, for example, prefer traditional feminine roles. I do not mind partakin’ in these tasks and bein’ the sole caregiver. The issue for me is that this responsibility is placed upon us, and we are not credited or thanked for our efforts. It is expected for us to act as a servant. We’re meant to be quiet, and not bashful about our efforts. That is, at least, how some household dynamics function.” Paulina says: “Not gonna lie, I thought you were going to say something very wrong at the start. But, I agree with you. I feel like people are born to be caretakers and some people like to be providers. I have had this issue with some of my relationships. They expected me to behave in some type of way, but I’m nothing close to that. I feel like I got that part of my generational trauma more than tamed.” [Paulina looks to the side and sighs. Her tone is serious.] Paulina says: “I still worry a lot over my future and providing for my family, though. I sometimes feel like I failed my parents because I didn’t go to uni. They moved miles away from our homeland for us to have a good education… In the US, what an irony. I am not working in an office making thousands, and I don’t see myself near one in the future.” Faith says: “There’s a guilt there, right? There’s that guilt when you have to witness your parents make these sacrifices and then you’re unable to live up to their standards. These standards, though—for some, they are unattainable. The fact that you’re providin’ for them right now says more than enough about you as a person, Paulina. You’ve always been able to put others first, too. Although intergenerational trauma causes these wounds to inflict, we would not be the people that we are today without these cultural ties.” [A sudden silence sets for a few seconds.] Paulina says: “Girl, you’re gonna get me teary eyed and all!” [The women laugh to alleviate tensions.] Faith says: “We ain’t cryin’ today, girl—we did our makeup for this!” Paulina says: “You’re right— Hot girls don’t cry. So, anyway, we got mail! Thank you so much to two anonymous listeners who left messages in our mailbox. If you want to leave us a message, you can send us a text at 160-606-24 or contact us through the Roommates Mailbox, link is in the description.” Faith says: “First up, we have our first mail inquiry. It says—” [Momentarily, Faith’s facial demeanor shifts into an evident expression relating to cringe. She’d mouth “What is this a reference to?” Paulina shrugs and shakes her head.] Faith says: “Ew—it’s someone flirtin’ with us! Anyways, they’re askin’ us—’Hello, I wanted to try a pickup line on your guys? Are you an ace bandage? Because I jus’ sprained my ass.’ Whatever that means!” Faith says: “Firstly—’your guys’. Secondly, I don’t get it, Paulina? What’s your thoughts on this? Who is that?” Paulina says: “I was expecting you to understand it. You’re the brains here!” Faith says: “Where is this from? 2012? But girl, don’t look at me—I am more lost than you are!” [The women laugh together. Paulina, still confused, resumes. In the meantime, Faith chortles due to Paulina’s bewilderment.] Paulina says: “We also have one voicemail… Let’s play it~” [Anonymous’ voice is devoid of emotion & monotone as they ask the question, it’d be; “Here comes the age old question. Would you rather talk like Yoda, or breathe like Darth Vader for the rest of your life?”] [Paulina laughs out of despair, still visibly confused. In opposition to Paulina’s reaction, Faith contingently emits an excessive chortle. Silence fills up the women’s rooms as they think about their answer wisely.] Faith says: “Easy answer for me—Already speak like Yoda, I do.” [Faith’s laughter beacons as her corny one-liner announces itself to the audience.] Paulina says: “Oh my god, I hate you.” Faith says: “Besides, it’s jus’ a trait that’ll either make you seem extremely wise or deluded dependin’ on the person that you’re speakin’ with!” Paulina says: “I can’t choose, both options are annoying as fuck—” Faith says: “Guess you can relate to the options—Jus’ kiddin’!” [Both women laugh.] Paulina says: “I might have to go with breathing like Vader. I can’t see myself speaking like Yoda at all— I might aswell sound as if I inhaled 50 packs of cigs every night.” [Faith issues a supportive laugh in response to Paulina’s jester. Afterwards, her words murmur a finalizing statement for the podcast.] Faith says: “As for our audience, I have a question for y’all. What are your experiences with intergenerational trauma? And what advice would you give to someone that is in the same boat as your own?” Paulina says: “If you’ve got suggestions about what we should talk about next, make sure to leave us a message through the mailbox! Thank you so much for listening to our beautiful voices if you’re hearing this~ and seeing our beautiful faces if you’re watching this. We’ll invite you again to our home soon! Until next time, dears~ Faith says: “Until next time, dears! You best come back to us, otherwise, the intergenerational trauma monster will come for you durin’ the night!” [The women set foot outside of their house after hibernation. The duo advertise the podcast by wearing Velma and Daphne outfits, promoting the show to local whiteknights, and geeks alike. This begs the question; ‘Where the Scooby Snacks at?’] (( @Sammy @Ale ))
  7. FACEBROWSER FRENZY | Roommates 1x01 Welcome to Roommates, a podcast about two friends who are totally deranged. Follow us on Facebrowser: @Faith and @Paulina [The Roommates' intro starts playing] [The two women talk through a video call, each in different rooms. They appear to be talking from their laptops.] [Faith talks with a monotone voice throughout the podcast.] [Paulina talks with a mix of an American English accent and a Spanish accent.] Faith says: “Okay— God, it’s so depressin’ outside— Good morning!” Paulina says: “Who are we?” [Paulina asks with a sultry voice.] Faith says: “We’re roommates!” Paulina says: “No, as in… Who are you?” Faith says: “Oh, I’m the rodent inspector, Faith LaBelle.” [Faith laughs.] Paulina says: “And I’m the three times chancla throwing champion, Paulina Martínez” Both say: “And we’re roommates!” Faith says: “Oh my God, they were roommates!” [Both laugh.] Paulina says: “And what are we doing here?” Faith says: “We’re trying to survive through these internet connection difficulties— And, we’re also here to introduce our podcast!” Paulina says: “Not gonna lie, I’m just here to see if we actually make money from this. We’re in our sellout era.” Faith says: “Yes— our sellout era. Followed by our Doctor Kim era.” Paulina says: “We wanna pay for some triple D’s and a BBL with this podcast. Make sure to support us to make it happen. Doctor Kim, call us.” Faith says: “Girl, you’re playin’ too much! But if you do want to reach out to Paulina, Doctor Kim— She’s always available through ‘Browser.” Paulina says: “Speaking of sellouts, Faith knows lots about the topic. Especially since this episode’s sponsor is Diversify!” Faith says: “Diversify, Paulina? What’s a Diversify?” Paulina says: “Diversify is an independent Los Santos-based alternative fashion, culture and arts magazine. Empowering the alternative, opinionated and otherly people living in Los Santos.” Faith says: “Now that you mention it, I recall seein’ their recent volume release through ‘Browser— And, they’re also openin’ their headquarters in Rockford, too.” Paulina says: “Make sure to check out Diversify’s latest release and like their page on Facebrowser to keep up with all things Diversify!” Paulina says: “Following with today's episode, we are diving into the wonderful world of Toxicity. Who hasn’t been toxic at least once in their life?” Faith says: “And we’re includin’ the themes of the social media networkin’ site known as ‘Browser, and the modellin’ industry as core themes rooted in toxicity.” Paulina says: “Social media networking site is a big title for a place like Facebrowser.” [Paulina laughs.] Faith says: “Yeah, ‘Browser crashes more than Count Von Count counts.” [Faith laughs.] Paulina sings: “The one-one-one-one one one cunt.” Faith says: “Not you referencin’ Azealia Banks on the podcast. Are you wanting for us to have an immediate cancellation?” [Faith blinks.] Paulina says: “By the way, which was album of the year for you?” Faith says: “Hannah Montana 3, the live action soundtrack. You’re really gettin’ flavor and spice, the best of both worlds, as some would say.” [Faith states sarcastically.] Paulina sings: “I CAN BUY MYSELF FLOWERRRRS—” Faith says: “Okay, Bruno Mars! Sing it out loud, girl—” Paulina sings: “WRITE MY NAME IN THE SAAAAAND—” Faith says: “Now send us away to our next topic!” Paulina says: “Yes, so... Recently I feel like everyone has noticed a drop in Facebrowser… It isn’t the same as it was, let’s say, a year ago.” Faith says: “Mhm— I mus’ agree. In recent days, ‘Browser as a platform has transformed into an even more so hostile environment. It has almost transformed into a breedin’ ground for hatred.” Paulina says: “We need the confession pages back. Where did those go! How am I supposed to flirt with my crushes if I can’t no longer make people cringe through a weird ass confession page?” Faith says: “Trus’ me, Paulina. Those confessional pages are such a relic of the past but in a sense—they brought positivity into the platform itself, somethin’ that we are missin’ in its current state. We want authentic positivity, even if cringe. Not some fabricated, toxic positivity.” Paulina says: “Facebrowser is such a sensible place for everyone. It toys with our self-image, our feelings of satisfaction, our perspective of people… How can the number of likes in a picture make us feel as if we’re less loved, less valuable than others or even make us feel lonely?” Faith says: “Truthfully, I mus’ admit that it has toyed with my self-image in the past, too. With a particular background, thoughts may blossom— Paranoid thoughts. You see these negative statuses and you begin to wonder if it is associated to you, whether you’re comin’ across a particular way, whether you’re unworthy.” [Faith pauses.] Faith says: “When I first started postin’ on ‘Browser, I recall seein’ the lack of likes I would receive, and I felt pressured to present myself in a particular way. I felt peer pressured to follow the curve, and to show more skin, too. As embarrassin’ as that is to admit, it is my authentic reality.” Paulina says: “Oh, yes. It kinda feels like you gotta show half a titty to get the attention at times. There’s like this… standard, model, way to get attention, that’s expected… I think that is the most damaging. I, myself, like to show a little skin, be a little cheeky… But, you on the other part, I feel like you’re more reserved, and you can feel pressured to show a little bit of tit. But, as I've always told you, you shouldn't be pressured to do it if you don't want to.” Faith says: “In person, I am more reserved. I can come across as ignorant or dismissive to others—Which I mus’ admit, I am not the best with first impressions, especially as someone on the spectrum, in general.” Paulina says: “BY THE WAY, we’re not saying it is BAD to show skin on Facebrowser. You do you, kings and queens. If you’re comfortable with it, you go. We’re mainly targeting the feelings of pressure these social media put on ourselves and the way we present." Faith says: “With these Browser’ images, I felt as if I had to play into the male lens to receive attention. Of course, we all have certain ways that we prefer to present ourselves. There is nothin’ wrong with showin’ a little bit of skin, I meant more so the pressure that we feel as women to follow the curve to appease the masses. Los Santos has exceptional beauty standards. Some that are simply unrealistic to uphold.” Paulina says: “Men are pressured too. Ironically, I feel they’re pressured by other men to put this “sucessful, got a lot of bitches and smoke cigars” type of image. Reminds me a lot of that incel, Andrew Tate." Faith says: “Yeah… We’ve all noticed the generic masculine stereotype across the platform. But listen, I will even be the first to admit that I prefer a dominant man. But that said, I am not the type of woman that is drawn to toxic masculinity, nor am I attracted to someone that finds callin’ women slurs to be masculinatin’...” Paulina says: “I also love dominant men, but I feel like there’s a big difference between being a dominant man and toxic masculinity. Between being dominant partner, that sets the rhythm, and being toxic.” Faith says: “That’s a clear differentiation between the natural presentation of masculinity and femininity, and then there’s the associated toxicity that some present—I have a question for you, though.” [Faith pauses.] Faith says: “Ms. Paulina, What type of toxicity have you noticed on ‘Browser, in particular? What would you change about the site? Other than the lag issues, clearly.” [Paulina pauses.] Paulina says: “I feel like there’s been more homophobic and transphobic comments lately. I have seen a lot more people from the LGBT community joining the site, so I’m guessing all the 'phobic rats are emerging from the sewers and talking trash. It reminds me a lot of when slutty pics started to be posted in Facebrowser, a lot of people started shaming women who posted those. Now it’s kind of the norm as we said, so I have hope those transphobes go away at some point.” Faith says: “Although we arose a conversational point earlier about dressin’ a specific way to fit into the curve, slutshamin’ and bein’ transphobic, and hateful is jus’ besides the point. Whenever a community has been built through ‘Browser, there’s almost a constant misdirected hatred, wherein they’re tryin’ to drag these people down to their level—I often to wonder if these people are aware that they’re bein’ hypocrites.” Paulina says: “There are some communities that can’t shake the haters off!” Faith says: “Sing it, Taylor Swift!” [Faith intentionally coughs.] Paulina says: “You are more experienced than me but— Being a model heavily relies of Facebrowser. I feel like that community, that industry, has developed into a wild jungle divided into closed groups.” Faith says: “It is easier to judge someone for bein’ apart of these particular groups from an outsider perspective. A particular agency might have its benefits—the cons may outweigh its benefits for the next person. The modellin’ industry attracts a peculiar type of person— to the point where the lackluster ethics in the industry is behind the reason that I was a freelance model for a year… You are right about the various divided groups, though. What is even more strange is that to my knowledge— they’re unwillin’ to work with each other for obvious reasons. In different areas around the world… You have these agencies, brands, and managers workin’ alongside each other to benefit the client and the overall image of the fashion industry.” [Faith nervously laughs.] Faith says: “But in Los Santos’ modellin’ industry, it is an entirely different scale, and story.” Paulina says: “I feel like in Los Santos, the modelling agencies… Modelling industry… Call it whatever— Are very focused on themselves? There’s no clear stablished work flow between businesses. Some play monopoly, and others like to develop their services in house. But, it doesn’t give businesses that the modelling industry would provide services for any clarity." [Paulina pauses.] Paulina says: "For example, agencies should be closing deals with clothing stores or brands to put their models in their product shoots. But, from what you’ve told me whenever we’ve talked about this, this is not the case at all.” Faith says: “In my experience, I have technically performed activities that are required by managers, and agencies. You might’ve noticed my latest campaigns, Freuler, Anna Rex—the others, too. Those campaigns were booked through me, as a single person. Outside of the experience that I have gained as a model, I am unsure if these models still remain underneath the industry’s monopoly illusion. Perhaps they cannot acquire campaigns themselves independently due to the expectation of the agency doin’ that for them. Basically, as a model in Los Santos… You have to learn skillsets beyond what people perceive as a model’s regular duties in the industry to even be slightly recognized.” [Faith momentarily exhales.] Faith says: “I mean, there’ll be occasions where a particular brand reaches out to your agency, and then a few models are chosen to represent the brand… But if you’re one of the models that are constantly looked over despite your potential, there’s an obvious discomfort and disconnect from your agency that develops. You begin to question yourself as a model, and even sometimes, as a person.” Paulina says: “Well, in that case I think the options are clear. You can either stay with the agency praying you get a call for a job, or you can leave for another agency or self-manage. There’s like… two modelling agencies in Los Santos. Actually, I don’t even think these businesses hiring so many models and keeping them in their rooster for their own works know that they’re just gatekeeping the industry. That’s from my point of view. You’re just collecting models… paying them a monthly salary but you’re not positioning them anywhere apart from your own products." [Paulina makes a stop.] Paulina says: “I might sound as if I’m biased and hyping my bestie up, but I think you’re the most known model in the business right now. Like, you’ve participated in so many projects in the last year in comparison to others.” Faith says: “There’s two modellin’ agencies in Los Santos and with modellin’ agencies, there are bound to be negatives, and positives.” [An abrupt halt occurs in Faith’s speech.] Faith says: “Actually, I have never publicly announced my reasonin’ for signin’ to Prestige again as a model but it is to do with reclaimin’ my time, and my efforts related to the brand. Although Prestige has its current reputation—I have never been the type of person that is interested in monetary gain. For me, self-expression is important, and although Prestige’s contracts have been known to be restrictive… The decision was simple for me as it enabled self-expression to occur. It allows for further creative opportunities to blossom, simply put. That said, I’ll say that there has been a push towards ethical conduct adherence since last year, to the point where I am beginnin’ to have faith in the modellin’ industry yet again.” Paulina says: “You have faith? Faith has faith? I’m so funny— Hahaha!” [Paulina sarcastically laughs.] Faith says: “Pun intended, girl. Not the first time I’ve heard that classic!” [Faith intentionally laughs, directing, and emitting a sarcastic deadpan expression to the laptop camera lens.] Paulina says: “Faith has faith is your version of my What if I want you to bite?. Every time I see that one phrase in my DMs I’m like…” [Paulina rolls her eyes at the camera. She chews fake gum.] Faith says: “Paulina, I’ll remind you of our Wifi password later. Jus’ so that you can remember it when you come ove—” [Paulina chortles.] Faith says: “Also, I am still not over you givin’ that man my phone number— Now that was the ultimate betrayal, I thought that the serial killer had gotten my number!” Paulina says: “Girl, I’m so sorry I did that. My problematic era— I should’ve asked first." [Both women laugh.] Paulina says: "To give everyone some context— I had this man in my DMs… I don’t know if you can relate to this, but can you feel when a guy is gonna be weird from the first text?” Faith says: “As a woman, I think that we both have that skillset, Paulina” Paulina says: “We should write it down in our curriculums at this point. Anyway— This guy just sent me some random letters and he was like…" [Paulina talks with a deeper Giga Chad voice] Paulina says: “Save that. That’s my wifi password so you don’t have to ask me when you come around." Faith says: “And you turned that absolute Chad down, Paulina? How dare you?” [Faith imitates Greta Thunberg’s voice.] Paulina says: “I just wanted to sleep, okay? It was like 3AM… He then started to say cringe shit like—" [Paulina does the Giga Chad voice] Paulina says: "Yeah, sleep with me, We can share my bed... I just wanna sleep, man. Leave me alone, I’m clearly not interested. Know your battles.” Faith says: “Listen, sir… Whoever you are, although your time was cut short, and clearly was iconic in a way— You’re no Mr. Sandman. We need a real man to hit Paulina up immediately!” Paulina says: “No biting references, please. Maybe we can talk about DMs in another episode— As for this one, we're almost close to the hour, our time's up.” Faith says: “Say it ain’t so, Paulina! But I’m sure that the audience wants more from us, and maybe they even want to send us topic suggestions for the podcast, too?” [Faith momentarily perches her index finger against her chin.] Paulina says: “If you’ve got suggestions about what we should talk about next, make sure to contact us through our DMs in Facebrowser. Thank you so much for listening to our beautiful voices if you’re hearing this~ and seeing our beautiful faces if you’re watching this. We’ll invite you again to our home soon! Hopefully we get actual equipment. Although, I do like the laptop camera concept.” [Paulina snickers.] Faith says: “But the laptop camera concept is DIY—It’s adorable. Jus’ like our listeners! But until next time, dears…” [Unfortunately, the Roommates Podcast cash didn't arrive on time. But fortunately, the bus did. The two women photogenically rode the bus to promote the show.] (( @Sammy @Ale ))
  8. Leap of Faith Cooking - Because great food should be easy! Episode 101 - My welcome to Los Santos, and favorite Gorgonzola Pear Flatbread. Yum! ~ EDIT: Hey all, Faith here! It seems I fumbled this one and forgot to include the recipe for the glaze. My bad! I've added it below in case you all need it. It's super simple, and goes well with so many things. I even put it on ice cream! Balsamic Glaze 2 Cups Balsamic Vinegar 1/4 Cup Dark Brown Sugar Mix the balsamic and sugar together in a saucepan over a medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the glaze begins to bubble. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 20 minutes. The volume should reduce to about half - so around a cup - and it should be thick enough to coat your spoon. Keep an eye on this - too much boil and you'll end up in candy territory which... might be fun, but isn't what we're looking for this time. Once it's cooled, store this in a jar or bottle you can seal, and keep it in the fridge until you're ready to use it. Enjoy! I've made variations on this by adding cracked peppercorns, red chili flakes, or even fresh berries (crush them first so the flavor really infuses!). Enjoy!
