  4. This is the story of Brazil-Native Car Enthusiast by the name of Rafael Silva Rafael Silva was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, in a vibrant and diverse neighborhood. From a young age, he developed a passion for cars, initially inspired by the lively automotive culture of his hometown. However, as he delved deeper into the world of cars, his interest began to focus specifically on Japanese automobiles and the unique subcultures surrounding them. Fascinated by the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) scene, Rafael became enamored with the Bosozoku style, known for its flamboyant and exaggerated modifications. He admired the boldness and creativity of the Bosozoku enthusiasts who transformed their cars into rolling works of art that blended tradition with a rebellious spirit. Driven by his love for Japanese cars and the desire to immerse himself in the heart of the JDM culture, Rafael made the life-changing decision to travel to Japan. There, he found himself surrounded by the very cars and subcultures that had captivated his imagination. He became deeply involved in the local car scene, attending meets, participating in races, and forging connections with fellow enthusiasts. Despite the incredible experiences he had in Japan, Rafael felt a calling to explore more of the global car culture. He decided to set his sights on Los Santos, a city known for its diverse automotive landscape and the hub of countless car enthusiasts. With dreams of integrating his knowledge of JDM culture into the eclectic mix of vehicles in Los Santos, Rafael packed his bags and headed for the city of opportunity. As the story currently concludes in Los Santos, Rafael Silva finds himself navigating the challenges and excitement of a new automotive landscape. Whether he's cruising the streets, participating in car meets, or customizing his own vehicles, Rafael is determined to leave his mark on the Los Santos car scene while staying true to the Bosozoku spirit that initially ignited his passion for cars. The journey continues as he explores the city's diverse car culture, encountering new friends, rivals, and opportunities along the way.

  6. Short description: Revamp of mechanic garages, vehicles, and plates. Detailed description: Mechanic garages would make their doors an object which could be frozen (by using L for lock/unlock), but when it actually moves (opens), it would be an interior where mechanics could work. The lifts would be useable by mechanics when pressed E, car would tp to the location, and would be movable up and down using arrow keys (refer to video) https://streamable.com/jd9kwk So basically, doors would be an objects, moveable when person who belongs to certain business approaches to it, because right now the interiors some garages have (Zazens, MAD Customs, Imperial autos) are making it harder to RP while some garages have advantage due to actual GTAV opening doors (Fukaru, Octane, that garage by airport). This would increase rp, and it would made the actual work more easy. Mechanic script - players shouldn't be allowed to approach marker in the vehicle only. Player would be allowed to press Y on the marker on FOOT, and selecting MOD vehicle. Before sending order for approval to the mechanics, script should scan all player-owned vehicles in the 500m area and ask him which one to select (similar as when you use flatbed), and once he selects his nearby vehicle, player would be TPED inside their vehicle, and taken to the mod, allowing players to mod their vehicles from any place within the reasonable radius around the business, without having to bother with F4 and F3, which would make more room for players to mod their vehicle, without pushing each other around, and since they're only "buying parts" icly it would improve the roleplay. Dealership-vehicles change! Vehicle like Tornado Junker, Rusty Camper, Rusty Rebel etc. should be removed from dealerships, or at least when you buy them they should have minimum 180k mileage. Based on the vehicle model, year when it was made, it should set some random pattern when it will break down, so it needs to be towed or PUSHED (I'll get to this later) to the nearest garage in order to be fixed. Having these vehicles with 0 mileage, shouldn't be an option at all because let's face it, it doesn't look anyhwere near new. These vehicles should only be available to buy via private sellers or dealership, and in case that there isn't that much of them, we can make some sort of import for dealaerships, or simply admin can add these vehicles to private dealership for a price so it leaves a small margin for profit for dealerships. Also, some classic vehicles like for example Jester Classic, should be removed from dealership and considered as an old timers, because it doesn't feel real seeing 10 jesters classics a day, or to get one with 100 miles with original engine. Make PLATES an objects - so vehicle plates shouldn't be part of vehicle model, but seperate objects. Why? Scenario #1 :Let's say I steal a car, but I don't have any mechanic garage to chop it, roleplaying (maybe one more mini game) taking off the plates and selling them to interested parties would be really nice and rp, irl I got my car plates stolen twice. LSPD or DMV would be able to issue new plates after it's confirmed that vehicle has been stolen. Scenario #2 : Steert racing roleplay person is being chased by the cops or wanted, and they know that cops can scan their plates. Allowing the player to remove plates from the vehicle and drive without them would expose player to being pulled over right away, but in case player gets away, he can't be triggered by ALS or some similar systems. Scenario #3 : LSPD pulls over a vehicle which has huge amounts of fines, that player refuses to pay. They can strip away his plates when they impound the vehicle, so once player pays all of his/hers fines, they can have their plates back (of course, script would prevent from registering car twice). Restrict abuse by allowing the player to only remove plates of 1 vehicle from all vehicles player owns. For car thiefs make a cooldown of 4hrs before removing another set of plates. Vehicle push - NEW SCRIPT! How cool would it be to push your own vehicle, once it's broken? Well there is a script available for that and this is how it looks like - https://streamable.com/r2phk2 For the devs - I'm not sure if this is a written script or just CFG file, because when I researched this topic I found a CFG which allows player to push their vehicle. The script was made for FiveM, not RAGE, but I hope that our devs can use this to insert this new script. If any of developers need link to the original thread of this script I'd be more then happy to send it. Commands to add: Only scripts How would your suggestion improve the server? It would bring new roleplay methods into the game, allowing the players to create more scenarios with this unique rp.

  13. Name: Erika Greyfur Age: 28 Information: Hey my name is Erika and I'm really new to the city and am very interested in looking to become a mechanic! Maybe even a part time job as an intern would be a good option for me at the moment if available? I have no experience, but I enjoy cars a lot and really think the role at a garage working on cars would be a good fit for me here in Los Santos. I went to college and have a degree in Computer Science as well as minored in Electrical Engineering while I was in school. I would like like to really learn the tricks of the trade, from learning the very basic repairs to learning to trick out and do a lot of upgrades for everyone trying to enhance their vehicles. Send me a text and we can set up a time to meet? 62004187. Thanks for checking me out!
  14. Short description: Hi. There should be a better, more realistic overhaul for trucking that includes different classes of licenses like it does in real life, also should be a re-balance of how the script is done when buying goods. It's simply not like that. Detailed description: In real life, a trucking license goes into three classes. Class A, Class B and Class C. The server can incorporate this by making the player pay for each class, A being the most expensive, C the least. IRL, it's not a arcade game and you must progress from driving a cargo van to a 18 wheeler. The script is silly in regards to that, Also, the script takes 30 percent while you have to buy the crates too. Where is the profit? If you work for someone, lets say the script was an NPC company - in real life you are not charged 30 percent to use their vehicle, you are also not paying per cargo. Even if you owned a vehicle to do logistics with, you still would not pay for the cargo. If anything you are paid more. The script is very contradicting of itself when it comes to making profit. The new script should be like this though: You pay an X amount for each license, A would cost 100,000 for example, B, 75,000 and C, $40,000. Each of these tests have separate DMV driving courses, where class A you drive a 18 wheeler, Class B you drive a straight truck and C a pickup/van etc. As this is how it simply is IRL. Class A make the most, Class B isn't too far behind of A but they're limited. I.E Class C : Class B: Class A: And so on, give or take. Add some vehicles to each class, balance it out. Another thing, a lot of jobs IRL are no touch haul. Making you have to get out and look silly running back and force 30 times moving boxes like it's LSRP is outdated and just a script flex and nearly realistic at all. Most of the time, if you are touching freight IRL - you're unloading into a store and getting paid more to do it. As far as illegally driving a truck without a license, it's difficult. It's not as easy as hopping in a truck and going w/o a license. Jobs rarely hire someone without a license, it's very illegal and DOT would get you caught. Maybe introduce some sort of drug smuggling thing but that's another suggestion, another discussion. Class A would delivery big cargo, such as gas to gas stations, cars to dealerships, large crates, hazardous items etc. Class B would deliver store goods to small mom and pop stores, soda, etc. Not big super markets. Finally, Class C could be done much like a mail man. You go to point A to pick up a load of deliveries and go house to house and throw them down in front of houses. Those small vans are rarely used for most deliveries unless it's like small car parts. The pay isn't that good either. Good for very young people. ( I know IRL you don't need a Class C license to drive a cargo van, but it's merely for the server) =========================== DAMAGES and REPAIR: Just like the LSPD cars, can we add an extensive damage system to these trucks like IRL? Before every trip you are required to do a pre trip inspection. Now, with /inspecttruck and RP involved, you can learn how to RP this properly via video. But i.e script wise, the truck can randomly break down or just break in general during driving. If you neglect the noises - script wise, a tire can pop, the engine stalls periodically or the engine throttles the speed. This would bring RP to mechanics and truckers alike, making a balance. Also, if the truck is too out of shape (DOT) SD or a PD division can give you a citation for it. Because it is up to you to do the pre-trip inspect. A script concept would be something like. **You hear an obscure noise from your truck.** /me gets out, checking the hood of the car. /inspecttruck **Upon inspection of the truck you realize you have a blown head gasket, severity moderate.** A script consequence of this would be the engine may stall randomly and you'd have to press Y. **Upon inspection of the truck you realize you have a blown head gasket, severity mild.** A script consequence of this would be nothing, but if you continue to neglect the issue it can worsen. **Upon inspection of the truck you realize your front tire is leaking, severity extreme.** A script consequence of this would be your tire is flat and if you drive on it you risk getting fined. And script wise depending on the severity determines if you can continue your haul or need immediate repairs. It also determines if the truck will stall etc. Commands to add: N/A Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? It would make the trucking script more realistic and more balanced. In real life there are tons of people driving 18 wheelers and unloading cargo, not people in cargo vans. I understand amazon and fedex do this a lot, but there is more to delivery than some kid making 15 an hour slinging boxes around people's porches. I just figured it felt too more like an RPG game or there wasn't enough research to how it's done in real life. Additional information: Any questions, feel free to ask. I do this for a living IRL.
  15. Feel free to send me an email Not professionally experienced, but I helped my dad work on cars for good couple years along with a couple side projects.

  21. This thread is constant WIP and you can expect frequent changes and adjustments Bonnie Tallulah Stratton On the third of February 1990, Bonnie Tallulah Stratton was born in the UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. This wasn’t the families place of residence, more so where they happened to be at the time. She grew up in Talladega, about fifty miles east of her birth place. She was lucky enough to be born into quite a wealthy family, her father a retired navy serviceman who now ran a large plumbing and gas company and her mother a Choctaw native with a PhD in medicine. Bonnie is the eldest sister to four younger brothers. If there is one thing Americans know Talladega for, it’s motorsport. Located in the far north of the county, Talladega Superspeedway is host to multiple NASCAR events throughout the year and is the longest NASCAR oval track. Bonnie’s love for the cars started as a preschooler, when her dad took her along with the family to watch an event there. This started a long family ritual of the family taking trips to the speedway to watch the racing. Bonnie loved everything about it. She loved the speed, the sound, the smell. She fell in love with automobiles and automobile racing. Given she lived in the heart of southern USA, her culture and the religious beliefs her mother taught her often made her different from the rest of the people in school. Due to this she learned to suppress her own thoughts and beliefs pretty quickly around the predominantly white and Christian children. She didn’t abandon her culture, but she didn’t really show or talk about it. By doing this she managed to at the very least fit in as a normal kid. By high school it wasn’t really obvious Bonnie was a native American unless she told you, though the signs were still there. She was pretty average when it came to schoolwork, her strongest subjects being mathematics, physical education, and metalworking. In terms of sport Bonnie really found an element of her own. She came out of high school as a stellar swimmer with a small array of medals hanging on her wall. She was also keen when it came to tennis, though nowhere near competitive as watersport. Her aquatic sporting achievement proved appropriate enough for her to be offered scholarships, not that this was really required due to her family wealth. Practically as soon as she could, Bonnie got her driver's permit. Her parents said they’d buy her a car when she was eighteen but she didn’t want to wait that long. Her father bought her a dark blue Albany Primo as her first car, igniting her love for Albany above all other automotive manufacturers. Bonnie absolutely loved this car however sadly it met its demise a few years later when she pulled up at a set of lights and got rear ended by an SUV that failed to stop. Bonnie was shaken but unharmed, and she had friends following at the time who were able to help her. Bonnie was devastated that she’d lost the car she’d poured heart and and soul into but for her eighteenth birthday she got a gift that meant the world to her. Bonnie’s father had bought a new workhorse to replace his aging Bobcat, which he bought brand new in the 1980s. It sported a factory V8 with a four speed column shifter, and a wide body with duallys on the rear. Bonnie got given the keys to the truck, which she had learned to drive in. It was by no means a bad truck but was in desperate need of some TLC. Bonnie cleaned it up and proceeded to daily it for years to come. Upon buying a new truck Bonnie handed the truck down to one of her brothers and to this day the truck remains a family heirloom of sorts. Upon graduating high school Bonnie enrolled for an engineering degree at the University of Alabama, majoring in mechanical engineering. Bonnie moved to Tuscaloosa to fulfill her mother’s dreams and be on campus for her studies. What started as full time study was soon changed to part time study as Bonnie chose to gain real world work experience while studying. While in high school Bonnie had already gained some experience working for Atomic Tires as a technician on work experience and she loved it. Studying was great, but she wanted something more hands on. Her mother would’ve been devastated if she dropped her studies so Bonnie switched to part time study and in the meantime picked up more work experience. This time she approached Vapid and was started as a service technician at one of their workshops. The atmosphere was a lot more demanding than Atomic Tires, and offered a totally different experience. Bonnie learned the ways of a professional automotive workspace thanks to one of America’s largest vehicle manufacturers, and drove her to work harder on not only her degree, but her skill set within the workplace. College offered Bonnie a totally different experience to what she’d previously experienced. She was independent from her parents and responsible for herself. It was a learning curve for Bonnie but with it came new experiences and new opportunities in life, as well as befriending like minded individuals. She devoted some time to her studies, and some time to working, and whatever was left was devoted towards representing the institute in aquatic sports. Bonnie’s life proved quite busy and at times she found herself burnt out, however she carried on with the mindset that it’d all pay off in due time, not to mention that if she were to quit now she’d not only disappoint her parents, she’d also disappoint herself. During this time she also realized that her family, her religion, and her background didn’t define who she was as a person. She determined who she was! By the time Bonnie graduated from college she had learned not only the ins and outs of creating moving parts, she also knew how to service and repair them in an automotive application especially. Bonnie’s first post graduate job was working for a company that designed and built custom fabricated auto parts for autosport applications, as well as for vehicles with a limited amount of replaceable parts available in the modern day. Her official title was no longer a technician, she was a fully fledged automotive engineer who was tasked with the development of new parts, and the modification of existing parts. Somehow she’d managed to fulfil both of her parents dreams. She graduated from college to please her mother, and she had been a hard working American since her first placement for work experience which brought a smile to her father’s face. There was something that didn’t quite sit right with Bonnie though. Her job was great. It was an area she was interested in and she had a high salary, even for starting. On the downside though the job was extremely difficult and often left Bonnie feeling exasperated and braindead at the end of the day, not to mention the constant stress from such a demanding job. Bonnie sought new opportunities but sadly due to her job being so specialized she couldn’t find anything similar in Alabama. Bonnie initially moved to San Andreas with the intention of being a process engineering specialist for Vapid. Sadly this opportunity was short lived as a more qualified engineer took the position off of her. Bonnie had the opportunity to move back to Alabama while she worked out what path she were to take, however felt that though it was her home, the state didn’t hold much for her, and thus she stayed in San Andreas. Situated in Los Santos, Bonnie picked up a part time job as an engineer at Hudspeth Motorsports, a workshop in Burton, Vinewood. She worked this job until the shop was sold off, and all employees were made redundant. Once again Bonnie was left jobless and floated around shops in the meantime. Around this time she met someone that’d become a pivotal person in her life. James Wilson was employed with the Los Santos Police Department and the two initially met as friends when Bonnie complimented his Ellie, and made discussion out of their southern twangs. What started as a friendship quickly turned into a steady relationship when Bonnie officially moved in with James. Bonnie had been working at Parkway Customs, a short drive from her current residence in Vespucci. She wasn’t too happy with these owners too either but got a pretty free reign as manager. Bonnie figured out that if she ran her own shop she could surpass her previous income as a fully fledged engineer. By luck Bonnie caught wind that the building that once was Hudspeth had come up for lease. Bonnie made it happen and got the contract. She moved her business there as Octane Automotive, a clean slate in her own personal shop. With a focus on quality over quantity Bonnie assembled a small team of automotive technicians who share the idea of providing exceptional service over anything else. On February the 2nd, 2019, one day before Bonnie’s 29th birthday, James proposed to Bonnie after attending the LSPD formal at The Vault. Bonnie said yes and for months the two failed to plan a wedding. James was busy with his job within the LSPD, and Bonnie was busy managing her business. Towards the end of 2019 James and Bonnie went their separate ways, leaving both heartbroken and lost in life. Since James has left her, Bonnie has become a very different woman indeed. While she’s still fundamentally the same person she’s gained a much stronger relationship with her collection of cars, favoring them over any person.
  22. So we've been working and roleplaying all evening at our garage in Paleto in the wake of the update, excited to be having the opportunity to make decent cuts from the orders we make with the business owner having set the mechanic commission rate to 60%. With the three of us working that would've made a pretty 20% of purchase payout, but after a sudden crash or update we started noticing that something was off when a car came in to get paint, wheels and a spoiler installed(All of which are 1k+) and we were recieving commissions of around 85. So when things quieted down around the garage we did a bit of testing of our own and noticed that for some reason the commission rate had switched to a 20% rate giving only $30 for a $200 tint purchase with only one mechanic signed on. Screenshot The conclusion I've been drawing from this is that the script is either counting signed on mechanics multiple times following a crash which seems very likely after checking the maths in the screenshot or that the rate's reset to a default value. Which we cannot confirm as the business owner is currently asleep at the time I am writing this. No matter which it is the consequences for the average spanner monkey is pretty game breaking as this means you're barely getting paid at all for the work you're doing. I'm curious to see if any other garages are having these problems or if anyone's able to shed some light into this.
