  1. Short description: Add more boats to the server. Detailed description: We have been adding more and more cars to the server, why not some boats too? I believe that category deserves a bit more attention given they're the niche inbetween right in the middle of cars and planes (planes being quite rare in GTA World). Meetings, transactions, even interrogations or other gruesome purposes. If you sail far enough, it's basically impossible for anyone to stumble upon you. It's much safer to kidnap someone on a boat or do a large weapon or drug deal with two boats in the middle of the ocean than it is to do it near the Strawberry Car Wash. Legally, you can host business meetings or simple getaways and gatherings on boats. You can use them for fishing. You can use them for tours around San Andreas. You can host parties or go diving. There's tons of possibilities.
  2. Short description: Add a boating license to the server. Detailed description: Add a boating license to the server, handed out either by a set ingame company (like Blaine Aviation has with the pilot licenses) or from a Maritime Authority (discussed in an other suggestion). Commands to add: None Items to add: Boating license How would your suggestion improve the server?: Realism; legally IRL you need a boating license unless you use a small peddle boat. Short description: Add a depth indicator for boats, just like planes have altitude indicators Detailed description: Almost every boat has a depth indicator so the Captain can easily check if the waters are deep enough for his or her boat.   4. Short description: Add flare guns to gun stores for ship owners to buy. Detailed description: When all radio communication fails and 911 has trouble locating you or cant be called at all, Captains utulize a flare gun. I suggest to add this to the server. People with registred and licensed maritime companies could buy one. Commands to add: None Items to add: Flare gun, already in the base game. How would your suggestion improve the server?: An extra distress beacon for captains. Additional information:

Short description: When entering a boat, you can use an onboard radio using /vr (/vehicleradio) [text] Detailed description: Realisticly speaking, every boat has its own radio and is able to reach the coast guard using said radio. What I propose is having a radio system on ships that is able to be used by the driver of the vehicle. This radio will be in contact with every other boat; including law enforcement marine units that are currently active. Commands to add: /vr or /vehicleradio Items to add: None How would your suggestion improve the server?: This would greatly enhance Maritime roleplay, as ships can then also hail eachother incase of duress or need.   6. Short description: Add an official Maritime Authority to the server. Detailed description: A Maritime Authority works very much like an Aviation Authority such as we already got. It will administer and manage the state territorial waters. It could also be the official government authority that issues and administrates boating licenses, and to which Captains have to answer to. A Maritime Authority could also give guidance to Captains in unforeseen situations and coordinate with the appropiate law enforcement agencies.   7. Short description: A new supplier type for components. Detailed description: My suggestion is to add a new supplier type for components, that comes in the form of fishing haulers. There would be a list of acceptable boats, but would most likely require some modded boats. Originally I suggested larger boats but as pointed out, smaller ships would be much better. Thanks @Adero The boats would be able to man the waters and have area's approved by Port Authority (also server administration) to fish. Rply, they can fish for whatever makes sense in that area, perhaps there could be an official list of what fish would be found in certain waters, or they use what is realistic for the area IRL. Crab fishing, salmon, tuna, etc etc. How would your suggestion improve the server? Roleplay for the maritime industry. Port Authority, which already exists, would be utilized to oversee the ships leaving and entering port, as well as their whereabouts whilst at sea. They could conduct checks when the boats come back to port, check the weight of the cargo, validity of the cargo (endangered fish, crug smuggling etc) and approve it for delivery. Then, trucks would collect from the port and ship to where-ever needs the components. Commands to add: Unsure what exists currently for suppliers, if there are any. Items to add: Potentially modded boats, I'm unsure. Additional information: I think it would need a lot of thought, but I think if there's more roleplay around maritime, we'll see more develop, from a more active port, to a coastguard that patrol's the sea, to international drug smuggling suppliers and so on.
