  1. MARA SALVATRUCHA 13 HISTORY Mara Salvatrucha 13, often referred to simply as MS-13, was the unwanted child of senseless war and fear. The gang traces its roots to the late 1980's during a time of heavy immigration from El Salvador and Central America to the United States, particularly Los Angeles. Families fleeing civil war and poverty arrived to find themselves in unfamiliar, hostile environments. Youths from these communities banded together for protection and identity. What began as a means of survival, quickly evolved into a powerful criminal entity. It blended street culture with militaristic discipline drawn from the brutal conflicts of their homeland. The number "13", a strong reference to an allegiance with the Mexican Mafia (La Eme), was added as a sign of respect and affiliation, elevating the gang's status on the street and notoriety in their neighborhoods. The gang's early years were marked by bloody turf wars and rapid expansion. With members often hardened by the casualties of war, they brought a level of violence and organization that other gangs couldn't match. Over time, MS-13 carved out a notorious reputation for ruthlessness, loyalty and brotherhood. As deportations increased in the 1990's and 2000's, many founding members were sent back to Central America, which only helped the gang expand its presence in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. This created a savage, transnational criminal network with deep roots bound in American cities. Southside Los Angeles was a melting pot for street gangs. MS-13 operates and thrives in a volatile ecosystem filled with shady faces and misplaced youth. Their most bitter rivals are typically other Hispanic gangs not affiliated with the Sureno umbrella, as well as African-American gangs that challenge Southside territory. Prison is not looked at as a punishment, it is a battlefield extension and recruitment center. High-ranking members orchestrate outside hits, control drug flow inside, and dictate gang policy. New members often earn their stripes by proving themselves behind bars, while others are initiated during lockup. Being a member of Mara Salvatruch is not only a commitment, it's a life sentence. CARSON LOKOTES SALVATRUCHA 13 HISTORY The Carson Lokotes Salvatrucha 13 clique (CLS13) is a Mara Salvatrucha 13 set that operates out of Southside Jamestown and first came to prominence in the late 80’s formed by Central American immigrants, mostly from El Salvador. The origins of the clique claimed to have started in 1988, with veteran and old timers spinning different stories on the reason for coming together and what activities the clique partook in, but one thing is for certain, Carson Lokotes Salvatrucha was first documented in police reports in ‘94 following a brutal attack on a girlfriend of a rival. This ill-fated attack brought a lot of heat down on the clique and in the weeks and months following the attack many busts were made, with LSPD managing to completely shut down the clique’s prostitution ring it was running at the time. Widespread deportations were made during this dark period for the clique, including prominent and experienced leaders of the clique and a downturn of fortunes proceeded. It would not be for several years until the clique started to get back on its feet, it was a fractured collective, but it remained as an active criminal enterprise during this time. Their luck would change following the rise in prominence of MS-13 in El Salvador following the wide-scale deportations, leading to further unaccompanied minors making the journey to America and falling in with local cliques in the Los Santos area. Throughout the 2000's and 2010’s the clique still had not fully recovered from the initial loss of experienced leadership with bloodthirsty youths taking their place, the clique’s level of violence grew exponentially during this period with some instances making national news. The LSPD’s crackdown on the gang in the mid 2010’s left the clique on the verge of collapse with criminal operations being gutted by LSPD and further deportations, though its community remained strong and tight knit, the criminal aspect of the clique was certainly on the downturn and their relevance was all but lost in the community. The late 2010’s saw the clique begin to rise back into prominence after MS-13 was named the most dangerous gang in America, a title the clique would wear with pride. To sustain this image, the clique became extremely violent, focusing on their appearance and image more than ever. Those Central Americans looking to make a name for themselves, escape poverty or just looking to find a sense of belonging could now easily turn to these cliques as their notoriety grew, the criminal youth of today wanted to be associated with America’s most dangerous gang. The start of the 2020’s saw the clique grow to its largest numbers since the 80’s in the wake of Bukele’s crackdown on gang activity and the opening of CECOT, leading to a rise in migrants making the journey from Central America to Los Santos, hardened criminals, unaccompanied minors, conspirators and regular families afraid to get caught up in the crackdown. A growing Central American community is building around Southside Jamestown with the Carson Lokotes Salvatrucha clique at its heart building a strong communal identity not just out of cultural identity but to ensure the clique’s continued survival. OOC INFORMATION The portrayal of Carson Lokotes Salvatrucha 13 will center on Salvadoran and Central American identity, incorporating language (Spanglish & Salvadoran Spanish), religious symbolism (especially Catholic), and traditional values like loyalty, honor and machoism. Community events, informal neighborhood “governance”, and a tight-knit familial atmosphere will be key. Members will roleplay the typical struggle of life, generational trauma from violence at home, and how that manifests into gang culture. CLS-13 will prioritize a realistic criminal gang lifestyle. Drug distribution, extortion of small businesses, violence, weapons smuggling, low level fraud and identity theft. Our aim is not to be “Hood Stars”, but instead highlight calculated and cautious risky operations. Our members will be expected to show fear of the law and awareness of the consequences for their Roleplay, short term and long term. Our members are also expected to earn their way into the gang. Membership into CLS-13 should be worked for and not handed out easily. Players will start out as a local youth, mostly from Central American descent, who are exposed to the clique via family, school, or in the community. Their progression should be a slow burn, not rushed or forced, but fluid. Some players that wish to become a member, will never fully be jumped in. Not all storylines will have a happy ending. Our long term goals and contribution to the server will be to create a thriving immigrant community Roleplay hub in Southside Los Santos with businesses, housing and local events, both criminal and social. We will establish conflicts and alliances with other gangs, illegal and legal, to enhance our factions' interactivity. We want to offer a deeper Roleplay experience for law enforcement including, investigations, surveillance and arrests. We will push for long term character arcs including prison Roleplay, family tragedies and most certainly moral dilemmas, not just shootouts and turf wars. We would like to work closely with LEO factions, server staff and the illegal roleplay community to ensure our portrayal remains realistic, respectful, and work towards enhancing the server in a positive manner. 2. This thread follows the story of Raul Camacho, a Salvadoran unaccompanied minor.
  3. This thread will showcase the character development of Umberto "Wizard" Piñón, a ex-member of the Mara-Salvatrucha 13 street gang who resides in Chamberlain Hills.
  4. Yahira Yazmin Zendejas is a Salvadoran-American also known as Ghost or Lil Clever in the streets of southern Little Seoul is a 25 year old highly respected gang member from the Mara Salvatrucha 13 gang; Palomino Tiny Winos clique. Yahira's mother; Yazmin Nunez a/k/a Sneaky; a Tiny Winos gang member was gunned down by a rival gang member from the infamous W/S 18th Street clique known as Chamberlain 18, this left Yahira and her younger sister without a mother at age 5 and 3. From here on out, Michelle Alazraki a/k/a Big Clever began raising the two sisters, a friend to Sneaky the duo's mother. While growing up Yahira and her sister started influencing themselves to idolize the street life at 8 and 10 years old, despite Michelle trying to keep them away from the gang life they were ignorant and went behind her back: getting put on by another female from the clique, this left Yahira a/k/a Lil Clever at the time and her younger sister; Trigger to be gang members at the age of 8 and 10... at this point Michelle only thought it was right to teach them the ropes instead of trying to keep them away as clearly that wasn't going to work at this point in time. As time went on, Yahira started taking the gang life seriously and around the time she was 14 years old she began to stick up rival gang members while in a pack with a bunch of other homegirls. Despite being a young child; aged 15 during this incident, Yahira was tasked with a quite traumatizing and challenging activity to take out for the gang... that was to kill a rival gang member. Yahira went out with three other females, Big Clever being one of them; other two being Big Trigger and Wavy taking on the task given to her, Yahira found a 17-year-old rival male gang member from Chamberlain 18th Street outside the Strawberry 24/7. Big Trigger ordered Yahira to kill the rival gang member, Yahira being as young as she was; struggled to gun him down but eventually did it, later going on to take a 13-second beat in from her fellow "homegirls". As time went on, things started to become rather normal to Yahira that wouldn't be considered normal to actual normal people... you can say this is what her traumatization did to her, instead of fucking her up mentally since she was doing it at a young age and seen it from a young age she had been quite normalized to violent acts. As time went on Yahira witnessed her fellow gang members: kill, rape, rob, kidnap, torture and dismember other people and even got involved in some of those situations herself at times when it was needed. Due to being under Big Clever's wing she was also taught right from wrong... or well, what M-S considered to be right and wrong at least. Around the time Yahira was 17 she adopted another nickname, Ghost; due to only being seen when she wanted to be, it's rumored she'd normally be somewhere in plain sight when her fellow gang members were hanging out and they still wouldn't notice her: Once a rumor spread that she was actually watered down and didn't want to get down like that anymore due to her little to no presence. This rumor changed one night when she supposedly "murdered" two rival gang members in one night without being caught for either murders. There has never been any proof she actually did the dirt but it's rumored she was behind the trigger the night it went down. Yahira earned a reputation for being an extremely smart individual/being a shadow in plain sight and is known to get really extra when it comes to situations n think about them as if she's actually plotting something... although being a smart and genuinely nice individual to her gang members and random civs she's known to get extremely violent towards rival gang members and do the unneeded extra violent acts to make a point. Yahira was given the nickname Lil Clever due to being pretty much just like Big Clever but also due to the fact Michelle Nunez a/k/a Big Clever was like a mother to Yahira. Although she's still known to maintain her original nickname known as "Ghost" which was given to her because of her little to no presence around the hood, mainly creeping in the shadows. Yahira is currently married to another Mara Salvatrucha 13; Palomino Tiny Winos gang member who's also highly respected. The duo have two daughters together. Yahira's generally known to be a chill, laid back and smart individual to people around her neighborhood but also has a really deep evil side to her personality that she only shows when it's truly needed.
