  1. As far as car culture goes, Los Santos has more of it than most cities in the world. Los Santos is the second largest city (population-wise) in the United States and rather enormous, geographically speaking, as it can take over three hours to cover the entire metropolitan area by car (east to west or north to south). Amongst all of the traffic and the sprawl, there are so many places for classic car lovers to enjoy. “The thing about street racers is we’re just normal people, only while people are asleep in bed at 1, 2, - even 3 in the morning, we’re out causing a ruckus and fucking up our cars for the hell of it. Hell. Ballsy fuckers do it in broad daylight, ‘screaming fuck the consequences’. For many of us, it’s just idle fun, a way to escape from the daily grind. Others take it a little too serious, make it a way of life. They usually end up dead, locked up or on the tracks making a name for themselves if they wise up.” - Anonymous Street racing is a part of everyday life in the world, simple fact. It happens in all corners of the country, even world, and the people who are participating in it could be your neighbor, relative, coworker, or classmate. Hell, it could even be that gangbanger on the corner slangin rock. You don’t really know. The culture has so much variety, some are obvious, like the hot boys with large rims and low fitment creating illegal street drifting videos for clout, while others are less obvious, preferring to do their racing in secluded areas where they won’t be bothered. Some are just enjoying their passion, others are in it for the rush of adrenaline and that lovely ounce of dopamine from all the followers they gain due to their antics in the streets. Deep beneath the streets of Los Santos, hundreds of teens and twenty-somethings gather on weekends to watch cars rev, race and drift in the city's underground car scene. Most gatherings are broken up by police when squad cars circle around to clear the area. Police give out tickets for traffic violations, but many people at the gatherings aren't doing anything illegal, and once the authorities are gone; drivers return to pick up where they left off. Streets all over the city - all over the world even - have hosted drag racing, street drifting and many other outrageous and illegal antics over the years. “40oz & 4 Bangers itself isn’t an organized group of racers, it isn’t a team of individuals dedicated to this. It is simply a gathering of people that enjoy the side of the world that cars, bikes, anything on wheels can bring. We’re just a group of friends from different walks of life looking to have a good time in our own way. While you’re out clubbing? We’re out on that long strip of road testing our limits, up in the hills trying to live out our fantasies of 90s Japan mountain driving, being bold and dropping the clutch to slide around that tight corner to ‘woo’ our friends. We’re average joes, we’re outcasts, we’re criminals, we’re anybody. We could even be you, we don’t discriminate. It’s all love and tire smoke around here.” - Anonymous. OOC: I’ll start off right away by saying this is NOT a faction, and it will never be. ICly, it's simply the facebrowser group several friends used to help plan out gatherings to hang out and have fun together. There are characters around this group that are in their own factions, some even running factions. It is a scene, simple as that. It’s a generalization of the scene myself and friends would like to portray, which to clarify, is simply that of a realistic, modernized ricer-esque car culture. Stancefags, track kiddies, VIP builds, muscle cars, motorcycles. Crispy photos of cars, edgy street edits of drifting with music tossed over it, etc. You get the picture. There is no restriction. However, I will say bluntly that we do not support 50 elegies with neons on parked up around us. Sorry, not sorry. We aim to portray things that happen in real life, not things that happen in your favorite car movie or Need For Speed game. This group is not full of rich people, infact, many of the characters around are ghetto, from gangs, frat boys in college, common workers. Coming around in some 500 thousand dollar car may be risky, or it may impress, depending on the characters. The group is dynamic. Conflict will not be something we avoid if it happens ingame, people are people, fights happen, rivalries happen. Roleplay is the most important aspect of this. The group is not focused on racing, it is not focused on simply the cars. I personally, as well as the others that came together to create this all agree that 40oz & 4 Bangers will have a strong focus on the characters. Racing will happen, illegal activities will happen, but we refuse to support standards of roleplay we don’t find suitable. If you believe your roleplay is perfect and refuse to take advice if we point out mistakes, do expect to be shunned away, however. If you show promise, and actually learn from the RP happening around you and improve, we’ll gladly have you around. We’re not evil elitists that endlessly try to get poor rpers banned or removed from our vicinity. We are just people trying to enjoy roleplay and have a good time. We’ve all been in the position of the new guy trying to learn the ropes, and we’re happy to take you in if that is you. If not? We’re probably not for you. If you have any questions or complaints, feel free to pm myself or Rinkk. Criticism is welcome, especially regarding the topic, as it's the first time I've written one of these. The main topic will probably be cleaned up further in the future through suggestions on how to make it better & changing things here and there, so consider it a constant work in progress. In-game rules for people wishing to RP with us frequently: Use your brain and don't be a dick, we have a very low tolerance for bad and/or unrealistic roleplay and ooc behavior, as much as some of us meme around and goof off, we hold this to high standards and we're trying to form a big community of top notch roleplayers to revive the car community that is well known to be shit on this server lately, and make it better. Make your character interesting and fun to roleplay with, no one likes a mold with no character, and we are big on interesting/fun characters. The cars and racing isn't what's truly important here. The roleplay is. Any sort of vehicles and any sub-cultures of the car world are allowed, from tuners, muscles, quads, bikes, lowriders, donks, etc. So feel free to bring that around. Majority of the current RP revolves around imports and JDM style car culture in its various forms. Cop baiting is strictly forbidden. Showing off and getting yourself a ticket to impress friends icly is fine, but purposely going out of your way to get into chases for ooc fun is a good way to get us to avoid you like the plague. F O L L O W the server rules. As said above, we have a low tolerance for shit tier RP and behavior. We're here to roleplay and have fun doing it, and we're pretty blunt about how we feel on others roleplay. As I wrote above however, we're not assholes and we understand some people are learning, and we're happy to help that process, if you're willing to actually learn. Nobody is the best, even the top tier roleplayers learn new ways to be better.
