  1. Short description: An addition of falsified or stolen licence plates that can be installed on either unregistered vehicles or owned/stolen cars. Detailed description: The plates would have to be installed at a mechanic garage, but not just any, obviously, due to the fact that this would obviously be an illicit activity to begin with, similar to chopping cars, not every garage wants to risk doing so. It's also not something that would work like a vehicle modification. You wouldn't be able to drive up to a garage and get your plates changed. This is first and foremost to aid organized crime when vehicles are important asset during a business robbery or an event where they do not wish to use their own registered vehicles. Other, different kinds of RP may occur as a result of such a system being implemented. How does it work? There are different ways to use this mechanic. Here is an example; - A vehicle is pre-selected and bought by a crime organisation but for obvious reasons, they do not register it to their own names. They store the vehicle and send a scout car out to find a similar model. After a while, they find the same model but the color of the vehicle doesn't match. They would have to note the plate down and this can already jeopardize their operations if they are seen doing so by the owner of said vehicle if they find themselves reported to the police. Fortunately for them they aren't caught and their mechanic produce a plate eventually. The crime is done by now, after a while. But CCTV catches a glimpse of the plate. The plate belongs to an innocent bar owner. After an investigation by law enforcement, it turns out that the plate was stolen and that the bar owner is not at all connected to the crime, this may or may not depending on the organisation's initial discretion, skill, and performance, lead law enforcement on the right track eventually. - Another, more short-term solution is to make up a plate or get a random one from an already existing vehicle that is not of the same model. Less sophisticated planning, but faster. However this may drastically cut the time it would need for law enforcement to wrap their heads around the issue. An important point: - Making a plate costs the mechanic money, materials, and time. Therefore it must be for a good reason that players would choose to change their plates. So it is supposed to be more of an investment than something you would do on a whim. Commands to add: N/A Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? Like everything unfortunately, it can and will be abused. This is why rules are put in place and enforced. I understand the skepticism for players in such a system working - but this is why GTA W is appealing in the first place for so many. Realism and a touch of complexity is what makes it all immersive and it's up to us players to ensure to do so properly. Sure this will give both illegal, legal and law enforcement players more work, but at the end of the day, it's just another dot of paint in the canvas for a bigger picture. Additional information: The usage of stolen license plates should be regulated obviously to avoid civilians being falsely accused or emprisoned for something they didn't do too often. That, or if the mere idea of having such a turn of event is too extreme/laborious, the process could be NPC'd and the person falling victim would never know. I understand it'd be quite complicated in the first place, but if any better ideas come to mind, i'd gladly add them here. If you find the idea of the suggestion ridiculous or far fetched, I understand. But please keep it civil between yourselves and whilst responding to this thread. I'd very much appreciate it and I'm sure others would as well.
  2. Feature Showcase: Lockpicking Information Breaking into a vehicle and hotwiring the engine are now linked to a lockpicking skillgame, allowing for less random-generated lockpicking and a more interactive experience. Rotate the Lockpin and probe for a Solution by holding the Left Mouse Button and inspecting the stiffness and resistance of your Lockpin. Once close to a Solution, your Lockpin will twitch less and you will hear fewer sounds of resistance from inside of the Cylinder. Once this is the case, hold the Left Mouse Button even longer, to drive the Lockpin in and loosen the internal Pin. Continue the procedure, until all Pins inside the Cylinder have lost their tension (Circular Progress). Be careful with your Lockpin, pressing for too long against too much resistance will break it. Anti-Theft Of course, better Locks and Anti-Theft Hardware provide a more difficult experience for the Lockpicker. The Lockpick will be prone to taking damage on quality locks and in general finding the pin will be more difficult as the width of the spot for a solution will decrease. High Alarm-Kits of course trigger once someone or something touches their Lock-Mechanism, so be aware of that when lockpicking highly secured vehicles. Breaking your pin and letting the mechanism fall back will likely (Random-Chance Based) result in setting off the Alarm as well. Commands & Keys /vbreakin - To start lockpicking a vehicle door. /hotwire - To start lockpicking the engine-ignition A-Key & D-Key - To rotate the Lockpick. Left Mouse Button - To stick the Lockpick in and try to rotate the Cylinder. F4 - To abort the lockpicking.
  3. Short description: More vehicle menu (/vehmenu) options for vehicle damages Detailed description: This new option inside the existing vehicle menu (/vehmenu) would made it possible for people to roleplay their car's health, and cleanliness or even to lock a boat in place so that the boat won't float away suddenly while roleplaying in the middle of the ocean. So in this you would be able to Detach Doors on every vehicle with doors. Then there's this Engine Damage where players would able to set their vehicle to Misfire, Smoking, Stalling or make their Fuel Leak without ramming the wall for half an hour to get to this condition (this would make player vehicle's engine actually damaged without any small dent or damage to the body). Then Cleanliness option, is for a player to set their vehicle cleanliness manually and so everyone in the server would see it and not client sided as usual. Last one is Lock in place (boat only), so the boat will freeze and stay in a place and players would be able to stand on top of it without falling off the boat because the boat is moving client side. Commands to add: Just add "More Options" inside the existing /vehmenu and inside contains: Detach Door > Front Left, Front Right, Back Left, Back Right, Trunk, and Hood Engine Damage > Smoking and Misfiring, Stalling Constantly, and Fuel Leak Cleanliness > Clean, Dirty, and Very Dirty Lock in place (Boat only) with a warning saying "Do not abuse this feature!" Items to add: This suggestion requires no items to be added. How would your suggestion improve the server? This suggestion would improve the existing car and motorcycle community or even firefighters. Not just that but this will improve roleplay for mechanic garages and players with old or rustic vehicles. People will start seeing actual dirty vehicles cruising around the city meaning that they're from sandy shores or such. Additional information: The Engine Damage option could be just a bunch of percentage to choose instead of just Smoking and Misfiring. For example; 25%, 50%, 75% and 90% I mean anything could be changed to be as simple or as detailed as possible. I'm up for more discussion towards this.
