  1. This thread follows the life of Freddy "Tell" Teller, an Independent, washed-up political & social journalist.
  2. Marie-Julie Flores, the visionary behind Sandy Shores Car Wash, brought together car enthusiasts from near and far for an exhilarating event - the Sandy Shores Muscle Car Show. With the help of Keith from High Desert Motorsports, a captivating raffle was organized, featuring the grand prize of a stunning Tulip M-100. This remarkable gathering showcased not only the beauty of muscle cars but also the passion and camaraderie shared among the automotive community. In addition to this, more people traveling and seeing Sandy Shores is something Marie has been trying to do as well, as it is a beautiful place! A Celebration of Muscle Cars: The Sandy Shores Muscle Car Show was a testament to Marie's love for muscle and classic cars and her desire to create a platform for showcasing their magnificence. The event featured an awe-inspiring array of cars, where owners proudly displayed their cherished vehicles, representing the epitome of power, design, and craftsmanship. From classic American muscle to modern marvels, the car show captured the essence of automotive excellence. A Jewel on Wheels: The Tulip M-100, the star attraction of the raffle, is a breathtaking masterpiece of automotive engineering. Known for its powerful engine, elegant design, and flawless performance, the Tulip M-100 exemplifies the epitome of a classic muscle car. Its sleek lines, roaring exhaust, and sheer presence command attention and ignite a sense of admiration in every car enthusiast's heart. The winner of the raffle was "Will"! Congratulations to him. The Sandy Shores Experience: Marie-Julie Flores, with her attention to detail and commitment to excellence, ensured that the Sandy Shores Muscle Car Show was a memorable experience for everyone involved. The event provided a platform for like-minded individuals to connect, share stories, and indulge in their shared passion for muscle cars. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with fellow enthusiasts, exchange knowledge, and forge lasting friendships. We asked Marie: "What was your favorite car of tonight?" And Marie said "Oh, that's difficult. -- I saw a red Dominator GTT with a pretty lady next to it. I didn't get a chance to talk to her, it had faded livery on it. I think that's my favorite. But there were some strong contenders, there was a Visiris I believe, I haven't seen that before." Acknowledging the Collaborators: Keith from High Desert Motorsports played a pivotal role in the success of the raffle and brought his expertise and passion for muscle cars to the event. Through his collaboration with Marie's, the raffle added an extra layer of excitement and anticipation, making the Sandy Shores Muscle Car Show an unforgettable experience. With the triumph of the Sandy Shores Muscle Car Show and the overwhelming response from participants and attendees, Marie and her team at Sandy Shores Car Wash are already envisioning future iterations of the event. They aim to expand the show, attract even more exceptional vehicles, and offer an enhanced experience for all car enthusiasts. Interview with Marie: Neo Trudgill: Marie, before we really start the interview, can you tell us something about yourself and this carwash? Marie-Julie Flores: Before, it was Sandy Shores Used Autos, which I ran from 2020, that dealership was focused on trucks and muscle cars, I retired from that business, The car wash is a bit easier on the working hours, also because I live in Sandy Shores. Neo Trudgill: Can you tell us about your experience organizing the Sandy Shore's Muscle Car Show? How did you come up with the idea, and what motivated you to organize such an event? Marie-Julie Flores: This technically isn't the first time, we had another one, but this was at least two years ago part of the reasoning is to get some life into our town here, that's very important to me, people need to be out here to see this is a vibrant place. Neo Trudgill: There wasn't a lot of parking space, and some people had trouble finding a spot. Have you ever thought about organizing it somewhere else, but here in Sandy? Marie-Julie Flores: Hmm, I think we did well on the spot it's important that its in the middle of Sandy, there's lessons to learn for next time sure, Sandy struggles sometimes, so it's important to take the opportunities to help liven up the place get more people acquainted with the area who wouldn't otherwise be here, and of course it also about the cars. Neo Trudgill: Tell us about the raffle that took place during the event. How did you organize it, and what prizes were offered? Marie-Julie Flores: My friend from High Desert Motorsports Keith came up with that idea! he's planning some races on the redwood lights track in the future he had a heavily modified Tulip that he raffled, it went very well! There was a lot of interest in that! Neo Trudgill: Based on your experience, what advice would you give to someone interested in organizing a similar car show or community event? Marie-Julie Flores: You'll always have to have some friends around to hand out drinks or snacks, guide cars in the right spots especially in such a small location. Make sure everything is done safely, it doesn't have to be difficult either, if you have space for it, like we do then you don't need to involve the government or whatever, for community events in general, you'll want to make sure there's enough to do! Neo Trudgill: What factors did you consider while choosing the location? Marie-Julie Flores: Well, for me it was easy, I own this location, I know exactly how to manage it and how to coordinate cars here, so it was logical. Private is definitely preferred. Public land brings red tape, paperwork and problems. Neo Trudgill: What was your favorite car of tonight? Marie-Julie Flores: So I saw a red Dominator GTT with a pretty lady next to it. I didn't get a chance to talk to her, it had faded livery on it. I think that's my favorite. But there were some strong contenders, there was a Visiris I believe. I haven't seen that before. but that GTT just had it right. Maybe you took a picture of it! Sandy Shores Car Wash and the collaborative efforts with Keith from High Desert Motorsports brought the automotive community together in a truly remarkable way. The Sandy Shores Muscle Car Show celebrated the timeless beauty and power of muscle cars while fostering connections and camaraderie among enthusiasts. With the unforgettable raffle and the chance to win the coveted Tulip M-100, the event will be etched in the memories of car enthusiasts for years to come. All the photo's of this event.
