Huge shipments were arranged directly from South America." The Albanian Civil War in 1997 was sparked by pyramid scheme failures in Albania soon after its transition to a market economy. The government was toppled and more than 2,000 people were killed. Various sources describe the violence that ensued as a rebellion, or a civil war, or a rebellion that gradually escalated into a civil war. By January 1997, Albanian citizens, who had lost a total of $1.2 billion (an average of $400 per person countrywide) took their protest to the streets. Beginning in February, thousands of citizens launched daily protests demanding reimbursement by the government, which they believed was profiting from the schemes. On 1 March, Prime Minister Aleksandër Meksi resigned and on 2 March, President Sali Berisha declared a state of emergency. This led to nearly 100,000 Albanians leaving the country. Among the repercussions of the Kosovo crisis for Albania was the matter in which it facilitated migration to US & EU. Presenting themselves as Kosovars, Albanians sought asylum in several countries. The situation was made easier by the lack of identification documents for displaced Kosovars and by their common language. This movement was known as a "silent movement" as the Albanian authorities were much more concerned about recovering from the event of 1997 and continuing the reforms, than about handling the displacement of the Kosovo Population and their own rationals. Sokol was only 8 years old by the time his family migrated to the US, having settled in New York, it wasn't easy for him. Growing up as a foreigner in a neighborhood surrounded by different ethnicities and races, it's clear to say he did not have an easy time. After the tragic death of his father, Sokol was only seventeen having to drop out of college to become the man of the family. He knew what he was getting himself into when he slowly started committing petty crimes such as shoplifting, theft, scams, and so on, little did he know that those crimes would just keep evolving into bigger ones. Years went by, now by the age of 24, having earned the nickname "Daja" now with full ties to the Albanian mob, having been brought in by his cousin, Tony who at the time was one of the main leaders. Years went by with Sokol Martinaj clearly no longer a stranger to the authorities anymore, having served two short sentences in Los Santos and having been arrested, but not convicted, many more times. Daja decided it was time to go solo and depart from the Albanian Mob which his cousin was in full control of in order to start his own outfit, though still heavily connected to the aforementioned mob. With mounting police suspicion on him, it made sense for him to form his own clique and engage in a wide variety of crimes. He had commanded in urban warfare and had a vast range of experience in many criminal acts and wished to pass this down onto a younger generation, a generation which he could control to do his own bidding. Sokol Martinaj and Tony Bejko had a sit-down. He received the blessing to depart and form his own thing. Sokol Martinaj had risen the ranks and graduated from the Albanian Mafia to become the independent leader of a crew in its own right. The Burton Connection (https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Burton) The Burton Connection has been around in various forms within Los Santos for approximately the last 20 years. More recently however the group; that are now up and coming figures within the criminal underworld, are very alike to that of a modern-day National Crime Syndicate whereby a collective of individuals inclusive of different organisations work together in unison. In Los Santos specifically, this has been developed over time and championed by a now amalgamated Jewish Organised Crime group. The Burton Connection is currently led by a group of individuals that have formed a council that democratically votes on decisions within the organisation. Backing the founding council members of this organisation are multiple dedicated, loyal, trustworthy men who are all like-minded; this alone makes the organisation both feared and respected. The general day to day activities of the Burton Connection involves extensive mostly legal fronted operations such as; the running of cash revenue businesses and property development. However, in more recent times members within the organisation have monopolised in various fields such as; money laundering, the purchase and distribution of firearms, extortion and blackmail rings, the black market sale of stolen vehicle parts and the solicitation of sexual services. All of the money earned from these nefarious activities is being filtered through the cash dominated network that they’ve set up.

The apartment is located in Burton, Los Santos. One block away from the Police Station. The neighborhood is in general very quiet. The apartment has a backdoor that leads to the parking lot behind the property. The apartment includes three floors. First floor is the living room, a kitchen with all the basic utensils and a toilet room. Going on the second floor you will see an entertainment room in which you will find a Billiard table, a table-tennis table and three arcade machines. The second floor does also include a chilling area in which you will find a couch and a computer system. On the third floor you find the bed room. The bedroom includes of course, a bed and a medium sized television in front of it. The room also includes a bath tub and two couches to relax.
