(The Broadway Boys) LSSD Gang Database - The Broadway Boys The Broadways are one of the oldest Gangster Crip street gangs, being formed in 1971 in what they called “The Tray” (Brouge Avenue & Broadway). With the sign on the street representing themselves, they used to go by the Broadway Boys when they were younger. As time went on they grew distant from the name and became “11-Deuce” as it rang a bell. They eventually fell into an alliance with the Gangster Crips and became the 112 Broadway Gangster Crips (112 BGC) with their other clique a bit down the street from them the 52 Broadway Gangster Crips. Members of BGC referred to location as West Town, being on the borderline basically in-between the two. Although they where Gangster Crips, the Broadways and the 112 Hoovers had a beef over territory as they both claimed the lines of 112. Not only did they rival the Hoovers, they also picked up beef including the Denver Lane Bloods, Rollin' 100 Crips, 4-Pacc Gangster Crips, 87 Gangster Crips, 97 Gangster Crips neighboring Bloods, with everyone in their circle. This made 112 BGC a very dangerous street gang to be a part of, especially due to the fact many different sets may hunt their hood at the same time due to their build up of beefs in their circle of South Central. The gang are known for sporting the sport team logos of the Boston Red Sox (Broadway), Texas Rangers (3x), Burberry (Broadway Boy), just to name a few. They're known to hangout at their nearby Car Wash located on the corner of Brouge Avenue as one of their main spots in their territory when war is more died down they'll host parties and celebrate their (set)-days there including Car Wash services. (Broadway Gangster Crips, 1990s) Gang Interviews - (Bdub) Bdub is one of the original members of the Broadway Gangster Crips, he's interviewed by StreetTV about the history of BGC and their origin as BGC and being a crew of hustlers originally. He also speaks on living life in South Central. In summary of the interview, Bdub is one of the original members. He speaks on their spiteful war with the Neighborhood Crips of Los Santos and their war for their 50-year war originally starting in 1970. "Los Santos is a beautiful city with a dark backstory, we came up in Los Santos thinking we'll have the American Dream and instead we're met with gang violence in a beautiful city of Palm Trees and Suburbs. My kids couldn't even grow up without being directed to the park and getting put onto their nearby street gang. It's so terrible I've got sons from gangs that are not even BGC. We try to make it out, but we love the culture. It gives us the rush to keep gang-banging" Is what Bdub says inside the interview. When thinking about the mindset of most gang members in Los Santos, it really hurts to see these people grow up and become terrorists in their own area. What he said was true, Los Santos was a really suburban area and turned out by African Americans wanting to be like the Black Panthers and stand for something instead of just growing up with the mindset to make it out. Everyone in Los Santos believes it's their goal to provide for their community and protect their community because leaving is like turning your back on your brother from a home down the block from yours. Your life in Los Santos as a gang member is filled with PTSD, Court Cases, and Discrimination against the outside world when you wanna put everything to the side. In modern times you've got these newer gang members filling their faces with gang tattoos and living in constant danger. Bdub has attempted to turn his life around and in the end, he's still an Original Gangster for the youth of the gang he's from he attempts to push them away from his gang life but it hardly works and ends with them becoming just like him, another strip/strike as a gang member in Los Santos instead of being a Billionaire and a person that actually owns something. LSSD Gang Database - Way Gang Or No Gang As of 2024, the Broadways go by the Way Gang, with the motto “Way Gang Or No Gang” being represented. On walls you may see that Broadway members also claim “Brouge Boys” or “Brouge Girls (BG)” for the females. Their territory is actually known to be one of the most hated territories in their surroundings, still beefing with the same gangs from earlier on in their history. The Way Gang are known for having a hand in Armed Robbery, Drug Distribution, Scamming & Fraud, and Murder. BGC attempts to raise hustlers in their territory while focusing on keeping a militant hold on their youth. Majority of teenagers who grow up as a Broadway Gangster Crip see things a normal teen shouldn’t see including selling hard drugs and possibly having to defend their lives by all means. BGC is known to allied with the 83 Gangster Crips, Trouble Gangster Crips, Avalon Gangster Crips, and other Westside Gangster Crip groups, although they beef 87 & 97 Gangster Crips. They show hatred for the 112 Hoover Criminals Gang, and Rollin' 0's street gangs. BGC has members that still heavy bang from the ages of 13-29 years old you may find a member of Broadways saggin' down Brouge Avenue or Carson representing the street gang as a fullest. During wartime the Way Gang attempt to front line while keeping it smart and keeping their territory safe for the most part.
