  7. Overview The Sons of Samoa (SOS), is a predominantly Samoan/Polynesian Crip gang that emerged in Vespucci during the early 1980s, being one of the first Polynesian gangs to populate in the area of Vespucci. Many refugees immigrated from Samoa to Los Santos, during this time there wasn’t much of a Polynesian presence in the gang life. This changed soon as the unity and pride of the Samoans took over, the gang came up with big numbers in no time. Although they were seen by most as the friendly Usos of the neighborhood, the Sons never backed down from any established gang in the area. The Previous Generation As the gang outfit gained more light through documentaries and other media, matters only got worse. RICO cases were being built on Vespucci’s Sons of Samoa Gangster Crips (SOSGC). In 2017 the gang took tremendous blows, losing many key figures. Just like many other instances of gang violence around the world, there was retaliation. Jordan Tuigamala, a member formerly known as Uso Temper, was one of the few masterminds behind the gang. However, he wasn’t able to stay under the radar. Tuigamala found himself in a heated argument with an East Side Longos member, Oscar Garcia. The squabble turned to a shooting that left Garcia dead in front of a gas station. Tuigamala’s arrest was made in 2018. Another member of SOSGC that took a fall was Benjamin Tupua AKA Boxer. His arrest was made in the beginning of 2021, where he was caught only moments after a shooting in Vinewood that left Darren Cooper dead in his home. The Start of The Strong Beach Samoan Crips Clique The Strong Beach Samoan Crips (SBSC) clique was initially a tagbanger clique known as Strong Beach Tiny Usos, established by Davon Leiato. As teens, he and his childhood friend Richard Lafaele mobbed around Vespucci throwing up tags with others that would come and go. Eventually, the duo ended up brewing beef with the local gang Krazy Miller Boys. Davon & Richard turned to the Asian Boyz gang who also resided in the area and helped them to properly strive in Vespucci. Davon’s recklessness landed him in jail, this worked in Leiato’s favor for him to establish connections with The Other Car. All the while Lafaele was outside actively recruiting for their clique, Davon pulled his weight for the Others, gaining some rep in the jail system. He’d proven his worth to the Reps, even gaining the attention of Jordan Tuigamala, Keyholder for the Islanders. Tuigamala noticed Leiato’s drive and even heard of his tagger clique from the inside. Leiato was soon blessed in and given the moniker Trigger. The tagging clique formerly known as the Strong Beach Tiny Usos had evolved as Strong Beach Samoan Crips. Upon Trigger’s release he immediately approached Lafaele and broke the news to him, adopting the moniker Sliccy. From there on, the duo continue to grow throughout the streets of Vespucci with their new Crip affiliation. 32nd Street Culture Samoans may be big and brolic, but they’re friendly to most locals. Oftentimes Samoans hold cookouts where they make traditional recipes passed down from generations. SOS throws many functions that can bring even more life to Vespucci Beach, which they refer to as “Strong Beach”. OOC INFORMATION: Our group aims to portray a realistic Sons of Samoa set within the area of Vespucci, we prioritize quality over quantity with our portrayal and expect such from each member. This group is an auxiliary to the Other Car and is ideal for members to familiarize themselves with both concepts before considering joining. Feel free to inquire through forum PMs @TheFlippa @CJ
  8. NEWS • Crime Written by Yunisa DELGADO-FLORES • May 28th, 2022 - 8:05AM Four masked gunmen flee to Little Seoul, three still on the run Following a traffic stop in South Los Santos, a pursuit on a black SUV led to the arrest of one, and the continued search for three others. K9 units of the Los Santos Police Department exiting the complex after an unsuccessful search. - Yunisa Delgado-Flores. (click the arrows to see the gallery) On May the 26th, at around 23:15, the police report that a pursuit was initiated against a black Benefactor Scheisser containing four individuals; all of which wearing masks. The pursuit started as a traffic stop against the SUV down in Vespucci on Bay City Avenue. "During the stop a canine unit, assigned to Metropolitan Division was deployed and began a external search of the vehicle." The police report, written by officer Raymond Johnson of the Media Relations Division, stated "The canine indicated to units that firearms were on-board the vehicle and as such, officers requested the individuals to exit the vehicle so that a further search could be conducted."+ The SUV after the chase. Windows smashed, body dented. - Yunisa Delgado-Flores. The chase raged through the city, at one point passing through Mission Row. As the chase sped through, the SUV sustained heavy damage. The SUV stopped in Palomino Avenue, where three of the four men exited their vehicles and sought refuge within the Ginger Street apartment complex. The SUV continued after until it stopped further up the road, where the driver fled the vehicle too. "I just saw the cops chasing a black car, I think?", reported an eyewitness on scene. "Then I saw about ten cops chasing one guy. Down [an] alley." A search commenced on the Ginger Street apartment complex, utilizing K9 units. However, the police report that none of the suspects were found. The police report wrote that "At current there are three outstanding suspects in relation to this incident as units were unable to locate within the large complex. An investigation is on-going into obtaining further information and securing apprehension of these potentially dangerous individuals." The driver, who was identified as a 17 year old minor, was later arrested and charged with evasion and vehicular endangerment. If anyone has any information pertaining to the identities of the three others suspects, or if there's anything to report on this situation, they are urged to contact the Daily, details how being found here, and the Los Santos Police Department through their non-emergency line 991. 9. Vespucci Beach The neighborhood of Vespucci Beach has been a hotspot of violence, deemed responsible for rapid street-gang growth since the early 30s. Originally the neighborhood ‘Vespucci Beach’ was predominantly white, the 1980 U.S. census counted 84,413 residents in the 3.17-square-mile Vespucci neighborhood – an average of 15,184 people per square mile, about the norm for Los Santos; in the late 1900s. The City of Vespucci estimated that the population had increased by 40,885 since 1985, and as of 2020 53% of the population was Mexican. The largest immigrant groups include: 5,934 (2.3%) Irish, 5,578 (2.1%) Cambodian, 4,460 (1.7%) Ukrainian. During the early 1920s an influx of Hispanics to the area caused the demographics of Vespucci Beach to change quickly. With an influx of Hispanics to the South Beach communities within Vespucci, there was also an influx of African-American residents from the Southern and Midwestern territories of the United States. In response to violent backlash from White-American residents in Vespucci, new residents of the beach side community banded together to form street-gangs to defend themselves against what we know as 'West Los Santos Anti Immigrant/Nationalist Gangs’. History behind Vespucci’s own ‘Longo 13’ The neighborhood of Vespucci beach has always been a hotbed for gang-activity, specifically it has been the home to one of the oldest street gangs in Vespucci Beach, being the Longo 13 gang made up of several smaller cliques. “Longo” being a term used by locals in Vespucci beach describing the geographical identity of Vespucci Beach stretching from its local Marinas, up to Del Perro Beach. Since the 1970s locals have regarded the name Longo more specifically as a reference to these cliques under the representation of Longo 13. Due to the culture surrounded by Vespucci’s long history with immigrants the gang was split geographically, and its rapid growth in membership created three independent gangs who share the Longo name: ‘Eastside Longos’, ‘West Side Longos’, ‘North Side Longos’. Varrio Longo 13, has become one of the largest Sureño gangs throughout the Marina Area of Vespucci Beach. The largest of the Longo gangs is the ‘Eastside Longos’, being planted within the Hispanic community along S. Bay City Avenue in Vespucci Beach. Members of the East Side Longos, whose main rivals are the city's African-American and Asian gangs - Circa 1991 Eastside Longos 13 - Barrio Viejo (ESBV13) The Eastside Longos (ESL13), claims an area around the South Beach neighborhood of Vespucci. Their territory stretches from N. Palomino Avenue down S. Magellan Avenue to S. Bay City Avenue. They share this region of Vespucci Beach with other Sureño gangs such as Vespucci 13 & Barrio Small Town 13. They also are surrounded by multiple Crip gangs such as the ‘E/S Asian Boyz Crips’, ‘V-Town Playboy Gangster Crips’ and ‘Shoreline Vespucci Crip’. Barrio Viejo is the oldest clique within ESL, this is also one of the more active cliques operating out of Vespucci Beach. Barrio Viejo has become infamous due to their harsh treatment towards racial groups and is the primary reason for the alliance of Crip gangs in the Marina Area of Los Santos. During the early 2000s, multiple task-forces such as the United States Marshals Service, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms partnered with Los Santos Sheriff's Department and several other local agencies to file a civil injunction with the Vespucci Beach City Prosecutor against active members of the Eastside Longos, which prohibits members from a variety of legal and illegal activity in the area. The civil injunction was brought before the City Prosecutor to deter the increase in gang-activity in the South Vespucci neighborhood around S. Melanoma Street & Bay City Avenue. Vespucci Beach & Hate During the 1990s, Vespucci Beach was at the peak of its racist history. Since the early 1900s the 'Marina Area' has experienced hundreds of racially motivated gangs popping up and being responsible for dozens of racially-motivated attacks on several different ethnic groups. Since the mid-1980s, Vespucci Beach, famous for its muscle beach, and early morning winds, has also been something of a magnet for white-supremacist gangs. Its Bay Avenue backyards, and downtown area have been gathering spots for young people whose heads, swastika tattoos, steel-toed boots and racist philosophy mark them as "skins." In the last few years, skinheads from Vespucci Beach have been linked to violent episodes both in and outside L.S. Fears of an escalating gang war gripped the Vespucci Beach neighborhood during the late-1990s after three shootouts between Mexican gang-members, and African-American gang-members followed the brutal execution of 12-year old girl in September, 1998. That was decades ago but the race-motivated carnage has only increased, says the Los Santos Police Department. The conflict between Hispanic gangs targeting black gangs. reciprocating as their communities are increasingly surrounded by the exploding population of Hispanics, much of it fueled by illegal-immigration. In Vespucci Beach, the dividing line is Palomino Avenue & Magellan Avenue. Individuals of a variety of race understand the invisible lines that separate individual races from each others neighborhood. Federal prosecutors in 2003 charged members of a Latino gang with conducting a violent campaign to drive blacks out of the Vespucci Beach-Del Perro neighborhood in L.S. County, which resulted in some 20 homicides over several years. In 2021, 187 young people, age 10-24, were murdered - an average of 1 every two days. Most were of African-American descent. While statistics show most of the violence in minority communities is black on black or Hispanic on Hispanic, the trend is shifting, according to many law enforcement officials who say they see an upsurge in racial violence. Longos 13 and Vespucci Beach Crip Gangs Since the late 1980s, Longos have been a part of intense battle with neighboring Crip Factions in the ‘Marina Area’ of Greater Los Santos. One of the most intense conflicts in recent time has been between Eastside Longo and Blacc Bandit Crip. The clique within Longos 13 responsible for most of the violent crimes with Blacc Bandit Crip was the Northside Longo 13 clique, located around N. Bay City Avenue & N. San Andreas Avenue. Due to the Police and Sheriff's Department’s county crackdown on gang-activity in the early 1990s the conflict between Blacc Bandit Crip & Northside Longos 13 was diminished as ongoing feuds between the two gangs resulted in many of members on each side either becoming incarcerated or deceased. As the conflict between Blacc Bandit Crip & Northside Longos 13 finished, other cliques within Longos 13 throughout Vespucci adopted the moniker of ‘Crip Killer’. This infuriated local Crip gangs creating tension between Longo neighborhoods and Crip neighborhoods. These tensions have been amplified by an increase in racial-attacks between ‘African-Americans & Hispanic-Americans’. Many non-gang affiliated residents become assumed gang-members by each side. Resulting in the 2004 death of ‘Tonya Price’, a local elementary teacher who was shot inside a hair-salon by reputed ‘Eastside Longos 13’ gang-member Elise Salazar. Race-related fights have afflicted school campuses across the county, but specifically in the Marina Area. Civil rights advocates say that violence has grown at an alarming rate last year, continuing the 1990 trend of more Latino versus black confrontations prompting increases in police presence as to community discussions between the ethnic groups. Eastside Longos 13 and 'Marina Area' Crip Gangs - Present Day At the height of the racial-conflict in 'Vespucci Beach', many members of the Longo 13 street-gang were incarcerated due to the intense back and forth violence intertwined with hate crimes. This was the result of many Crip gangs in the area, as both sides partook in the war. The racial gang-war between Vespucci Beach Crips, and the Eastside Longos began to meet deceleration after a peace-treaty was called between Eastside Longos 13, and E/S Insane Crip Gang in 2016. The peace-treaty was the result of several gang-members from the Insane Crip Gang being apprehended for the murder of 13-year old Hispanic boy, "Michael Cerritos". Many residents in the Vespucci Beach deemed the treaty to be insincere as the Los Santos Sherriff's Department had cultivated the peace-treaty as a threat to increase civil-injunctions in the 'Marina Area'. By 2019 the treaty had become a thing of the past, individuals from Longo cliques had currently re-activated the conflict by attacking African-Americans around the S. Melanoma Street, neighborhood of Vespucci Beach. Due to the decline in Crip gangs remaining active in the Vespucci Beach since the Blacc Bandit Crip (Vespucci Beach), and Insane Crip Gang (Del Perro) any conflict between the Crips and Longos has become stagnant. This has allowed the Longos 13 gang to develop it's new generation of gang-members through recruiting at local high-schools in the East/North side neighborhoods of Vespucci Beach. Currently the is only extensive conflict between Longos 13, and any Crip gang located in Vespucci Beach. Is between Barrio Viejo (ESL 13) & Playboy Gangster Crips & E/S Asian Boyz Crip Eastside Longos 13, Present Day In current times, Eastside Longo 13 is one of the more active Longo sets in 'Vespucci Beach', through feuds with BBC, ICG, & ABZ have resulted in many of their older members either becoming incarcerated or deceased. Like all other Longo gangs in the area all of their members are exclusively Hispanic, White-Hispanic descent. Main areas of operations for the Eastside Longos is located around Bay City Avenue & Melanoma Street. It's most active clique within the Eastside Longos is Barrio Viejo, this clique is currently reforming it's presence in the area as many individuals within Barrio Viejo had been deported in mass, and incarcerated due to the racially motivated wars. Other cliques within Eastside Longos have gone defunct, specifically the previous '14 Dukes' clique that operated out of the Tug Street apartment complex. Eastside Longos are the last standing active Longo set in 'Vespucci Beach' despite members from Northside Longos being somewhat active around San Andreas Avenue. Vista Del Mar Apartments Large "housing project style" apartment complex in the South Beach neighborhood of Vespucci Beach/Marina Area district that's claimed by ESL13, the apartment complex borders the Tug Street Apartments to the North, and the Rug Street Apartments to the South. The Vista Del Mar apartments are claimed by the Barrio Viejo clique within ESL13. At a point the Vista Del Mar apartments was claimed by E/S Sons of Samoa Gangster Crip but civil/gang-indictments and incarceration of their members allowed ESL13 to takeover. The Vista Del Mar Apartments despite being a gang infested complex of West Los Santos has also experienced heightened Police Activity and the installation of 24/7 surveillance cameras, and ShotSpotter, a Gunshot Detection System due to the increase in gun-violence in the South Beach neighborhood.
  10. The "greaser" sub-culture originated in 1950's America among working class youths who didn't fit into the main culture centered around conformity of the time. They were parts of youth street gangs, and were associated highly with violence, sexual promiscuity, and general mischief. Their style is heavily oriented towards leather jackets, denim jeans, motorcylcle boots, and slicked back hairstyles such as pompadours with the use of pomade or hair grease. Today, a small group of youthes in Vespucci Beach, home of many emergent sub-cultures not-so-popular in the mainstream, gives rise to a new type of greaser, named the neo-greaser. Greasers influenced by rock-and-roll music, classic cars, pin-up magazines, and a love of the good ol' times, find themselves up to no good in the hood of Vespucci Beach.
  11. W/S SATANAS PINOY LOKOS TRECE The Satanas Gang (aka Ese Te Ese or STS) is a Filipino American street gang in Southern Los Santos, founded in 1972. It is believed to be the oldest Filipino-American street gang in Los Santos. Pinoy Lokos is the offspring of the original Satana movement; however over time the gang’s movement has changed into the newer generation under the Chicano/Southsider influence. The gang’s movement is mainly now following in the footsteps of Temple Street 13 (TST). Satanas (STS or Ese Te Ese) is a predominantly Filipino American street gang with a minority of Hispanic, Korean American and even Caucasian members. The street gang started in the 70's as a Filipino clicka of the Temple Street 13 (TST) in Los Santos, San Andreas. This is where the Pinoy Lokos got their influence from the Temple Street 13 (TST) street gang and formed their own clicka under the pretence of the Sureno movement. (SPL13) SATANAS PINOY LOKOS TRECE, a Filipino/Hispanic ethnic orientated new generation street gang formed under the influence of the Sureno movement; as there are rumours that a new key player figure of the new upbringing of gathering the Filipino/Hispanic community and culture towards the Southend of Vespucci is Dennis “Kasper” Ibanez. A prolific ruthless killer and the mastermind behind the scenes of the gang’s formation, as well as other individuals who are not yet have been validated under the GBD (Gang Database) system. Members of the SATANAS PINOY LOKOS have already started to influence the environment around them; mainly partaking in distributing small time narcotic deals, prostitution and thievery around the local vicinity of Melanoma Street and Bay City Ave. However, through the entrenchment of the gathering of Filipinos/Hispanic. The crime rate of the Southend of Vespucci has gradually increased from armed robberies, home invasions and spray ups from the innate gang activity currently being activitized there. The area has now been dubbed as Terrorside by the recent ruthless members committing acts within the street gang so that the local residents and others occupying the area know where they’re at. HOME INVASIONS, DRUGS AND TERROR ON RISE. By William Byrne April 15, 2022 | 9:35 PM PST Alarm bells are ringing and echoing within the Vinewood area code just above Hawick Avenue, as there are reports of three unknown individuals have ransacked and raided an presumably family apartment. Police responded to the scene with haste as they were greeted with a blacked out vehicle pulling out from an alleyway away from the crime scene. The officers gave chase as the burglars began evading down main streets through Los Santos to then eventually ended up loosing the LSPD just off the northern part of El Burro Heights. The LSPD has commented on the event and quote "There has been a rise in targeted home invasions across the city of Los Santos as a whole lately. The scene inside of the invasion of the apartment was sloppily done and didn't indicate any professionalism regarding burglary methodology , so this theoretically COULD tie into gang activity, however we're not sure yet and an investigation is under way." In other news, the gang activity in the Southend of Vespucci has grown rapidly; with narcotics now pumping and flooding into the scenery under the activity of TERRORSIDE or SPL as the strike-ups on the walls depict themselves on Melanoma Street. Locals should avoid this area at all costs as it's now a haven for criminals, fiends and menacing gang bangers as it's now surely become the Terror In The Westside. "SPL" strike-up graffiti located in the alleyways just off Melanoma Street circa 04/12/2022 A gang affiliate from "SPL" posted himself on social media striking up a "rival block" circa 04/14/2022 OOC INFORMATION Our aim is to portray a realistic Filipino American set based within the Southend of Vespucci which consists of members lingering around Los Santos, If you have any questions in regards to joining about the faction or even have any tips or would like to get to know anything about the faction, feel free to private-message @Kyxi also upon joining the faction you will GIVE Character Kill permission to the leaders. 12. V-Town Playboys Gangster Crips [PBGC] are a predominately African-American street gang located in a West LS neighborhood in Vespucci Canals. At its height, this neighborhood's turf went from the La Puerta 10 Freeway (South) to 18th Street (North) from San Andreas Boulevard (East) to Bay City Avenue (West) during the 1980s and 1990s. In 1987, City Attorney James Hahn requested the first injunction against an entire gang in this neighborhood. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed an appeal on behalf of the PBGS, and a judge eventually denied Hahne's request because the gang injunction as it was written as a violation of the First Amendment right of freedom of association to the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendment rights to due process. A couple of months later, Hahn went back to court with a modified version of his initial injunction and was able to get a judge to approve a preliminary injunction against the ACLU's recommendations. Since the 1980s, this mostly African-American community has seen an influx of Hispanic immigrants into this working class neighborhood that has reduced the size of the Black community and the membership of the gang, which still exists in the same area. West Los Santos (or WLS, West LS) & South Central are different in many ways, both in & outside of the gang politics, but it also has some similarities. West LS gang banging is different from South Central gang banging. - Playboy Gangster Crips (3x/GC) - School Yard Crips (Formerly 2x but do not claim neither 2x or 3x in current times) - Vespucci Shoreline Crips (2x) - West Boulevard Crips (2x) - Graveyard Gangster Crips (3x) - Mansfield Gangster Crips (3x) - Blastin Fools Gangster Crips (3x) - By Yourself Gangster Crips (3x) - Marvin Gangster Crips (3x) WLS gangs are made up of Deuces (2x), Trays (3x/Gangster Crips) & Mexican gangs such as Culver City Boys 13, Vespucci 13 & Del Perro 13, just to name a few. Many people confuse the 2x car with Neighborhood Crips which is not the case. Both cars are affiliated with each other, but they're not the same. Some well known WLS gangs consist of: - Playboy Gangster Crips (3x/GC) - School Yard Crips (Formerly 2x but do not claim either 2x or 3x in current times) - Vespucci Shoreline Crips (2x) - West Boulevard Crips (2x) - Graveyard Gangster Crips (3x) WLS has more of a suburban setting versus South Central where they have much more hoods & ghettos. WLS is more at risk for gentrification due to the high value of the houses & other property throughout different neighborhoods in the area. For this reason, WLS gangs hustle and grind a lot more to keep from being pushed out of the community. WLS gangs are also prone to gang injunctions as part of the process of gentrification; the Playboy Gangster Crips had a gang injunction back in 1987, which was an attempt to dismantle the gang but ultimately failed. For this reason, WLS gangs are not known to be super reckless/crash dummies as a gang to stay off the radar of law enforcement but regardless, these gangs still push their line and put on for the set. For several years prior to 2020, crime in Vespucci Beach had generally been on a downward trajectory. It is nearly impossible to pinpoint any single, overarching reason for the rebound, but experts have pointed to a range of possible contributing factors including economic insecurity, school closures and isolation from the pandemic. Police have also blamed a proliferation of easily accessible ghost guns along with bail and sentencing reforms they say allow repeat offenders to quickly return to the streets after an arrest. In March 2021, then-Chief of Police Robert Luna also pointed the finger at emergency measures to reduce jail populations during the pandemic meant to slow the spread of the deadly disease. “Prisons and jails have released large numbers of inmates to reduce the risk of exposure; more repeat offenders are being released on bail; trials and other court proceedings have experienced significant delays; school closures and lack of programming has negatively impacted youth engagement; and, with a record number of gun sales in 2020, there are more guns on the street,” he said. Police say they worked to take more guns off the streets as shootings in Vespucci Beach spiked during the first half of 2021 and the number of people wounded in those shootings also rose 55% as of July. Shootings have risen sharply since 2019, when the city recorded 122, to 544 in 2021, according to LSPD data. Overall, gun arrests were up 36% in 2021 as police have poured hundreds of thousands of dollars into increased patrols and operations to take illegal weapons off the streets, including a buyback program that gave residents a way to get rid of unwanted firearms in exchange for gift cards. A buyback event in October resulted in a total of 280 guns being turned in. Police found, however, that the guns being turned in were not necessarily those they were trying to link with shooting cases. In July, Luna said his officers—including specialized gun seizure teams—were taking an average of about 21 guns per week off the city’s streets. “I’m telling you right now that if our officers weren’t out there doing that proactive work, I don’t know where our shootings and murder rates would be right now,” Luna said at the time. In the time since its inception, the LSPD’s specialized Coordinated Response Team seized over 150 firearms. The department as a whole seized 1,057 firearms in 2021, a 37.3% increase from 2020, according to a city statement. The city says 2021 also ended on a positive note when it comes to gun violence. There were only 26 shooting incidents in December 2021 compared to the 53 reported in December 2020, according to the LSPD. “While gun violence continues to be at an increased level, it has been substantially reduced over the course of 2021 through the various strategies implemented by the Police Department and supporting departments,” police said in a statement. Meanwhile, property crime slightly decreased compared to 2020, which police have attributed to a reduction in petty thefts, garage burglaries, commercial burglaries and bike thefts. They said these categories declined 54.1%, 37.1%, 26.8% and 21.9%, respectively.

  15. Vespucci 13 is one of the largest Sureño gangs on the West Coast. The gang calls Magellan Avenue it’s home. The gang’s presence dates back to the mid 1900’s, but is slowing down in numbers due to rapid gentrification. History: In the late 1940’s Los Santos’ development of freeway 405 forced Mexican American communities to move out west towards Vespucci, Del Perro, and Morningwood. As a result of the waves of lower income immigrants the Vespucci area earned the moniker “Ghetto by the Sea.” The area was known by the locals to be one of the cities largest tourist traps due to it’s easy access to the beach. Above sits Fernando Barela and Raymond Ayala from left to right. In the 1950’s Vespucci had a second wave of mass immigration with the population almost doubling. In this second wave came Fernando Barela and Raymond Ayala. Both were in their early teens when they met at Vespucci Middle School. Immediately the two grew a close bond and began to push marijuana and heroin for Ayala’s older cousin, ‘Magic’. The two were very successful in their trade and made a name for themselves. By the time they had graduated highschool they had younger family members selling for them. In 1964 they had amassed a group of almost thirty teenagers. It was then that the two decided to adopt the moniker Vespucci 13. The name clearly pays homage to both the Mexican Mafia and the area in which they lived. There have been several Vespucci 13 members who have affiliated themselves with the eMe such as Rene Blajos and Emilio Montoya, and the two groups keep a close relationship both in and out of the prison system. In the 1990's Vespucci 13 was one of the targets of a large gang injunction. Three gangs were tagged in the Far West Los Santos Gang Injunctions, and their activity on the streets was very low throughout this period. The gang injunction however did reach it's end and the gangs began to openly gather outside and resume to their ghetto lifestyles. Vespucci today: Vespucci trece is currently being led by Peter “BANDIT” Loyola and Tomas “SPOOKY” Ordonez. The gang has been losing power and numbers as a result of the rapid gentrification of far West Los Santos hoods, however there are quite a few active members spread among the organization's five cliques. The gang is known for its involvement in trafficking drugs for several organizations such as La eMe and Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations (MDTO’s). The key drugs pushed by the neighborhood are marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin. Vespucci 13 is no stranger to robbery. All sorts of robberies seem to go down in Vespucci, whether it be armed, home, or vehicular. Active Beef: CULVER CITY 13: The beef between Vespucci 13 and Culver City 13 is remarked as one of the largest current beefs in all of Los Santos both in measure of time and lives. Culver City Highschool and Venice Highschool were always bitter rivals in terms of sports. In the late 1960’s both neighborhoods claimed the same corner and had local drug dealers post up and deal drugs off of it. The two gangs did not like that the other had their dealers pushing on the corner they claimed as their own. Drug dealers from either gang were getting jumped back and forth until the fights grew larger. To protect the dealers and the claimed ‘turf’, members from both groups would stand on the block and press their rivals. The gangs were quick to involve themselves in massive brawls and fights, however guns were resorted to after only a few months. The homicide rate on the far west side of Los Santos shot up, and has yet to fall back down to where it once was. Each side has lost a lot of members and the beef seems to have no resolution because most current members of either gang have family who've been murdered by the other side. The picture above shows disrespect to the Del Perro 13 gang by crossing out DP13 tattoos and replacing them with Vespucci related calligraphy. 187 SMAKAS refers to penal code number 187 referring to murder, and "Smacks" being the DP13 gang diss. Del Perro 13: The static between Del Perro 13 and Vespucci 13 has been long going ever since the 1950's. The tension between the two groups originated as a school rivalry, however during a lowrider show in 2009 it escalated. Attending this show was a high respected Vespucci 13 member, Daniel Cortez, and a Mexican Mafia tax collector who were discussing politicks in Del Perro when several members of the Del Perro 13 gang recognized Cortez's tattoos. The Del Perro members instantly began pressing Cortez about his affiliations and where he was from before allegedly disrespecting the tax collector during a verbal altercation. During this altercation the tax collector stated his affiliation to the Mexican Mafia, and a Del Perro member disrespected said affiliation which was taken as disrespect to the Mexican Mafia. Del Perro 13 was ultimately greenlit by the Mexican Mafia and for months were the targets of a string of shootings. The best known attack in this web of murder is referred to as the Virginia Park incident. Isaias Lopez and Jose Romo-Soto were shot by Vespucci 13 members, killing Romo-Soto and gravely wounding Lopez. Lopez, on what he thought was his deathbed, attested that an African-American Vespucci 13 member was the driver and shooter involved in this incident. The shooter was eventually caught. Lopez ended up living and was marked as a snitch. This incident further alienated the two gangs and increased the already hostile tensions. The conflict between the two gangs has lived on for over 70 years and is still being acted on in modern times. Thread credits go out to @XIKand @Miggs

  18. 52 Brik Boy Crip Brik Boy Crips 1980s During the 1980s, the Bay City Avenue Housing Projects attracted a lot of gang-bangers from different parts of Vespucci due to the newly created lucrative drug trade which led to violent drug disputes and a spike in gang related shootings all over. The residents of the BCA-Housing Projects complained of the post office's refusal to deliver mail to the complex. Due to that rise in shootings and brutality all over Bay City, youths around the area re-cliqued and formed the small but tightknit Bay City Bricc Boy Crips, making a name for themselves pretty quickly by controlling the drug and weapon trade in Vespucci and Bay City before getting crushed by Gang Unit Operations and several arrests. 2022 The Bricc / Brik Boy(z) Crips, also known as N/S Bricc Boy Crips (NSBBC), are predominantly a small African-American street gang, located in North Vespucci, claiming their territory around the Sandcastle Way and Bay City Avenue in a small community housing project in the heart of Vespucci, locals refer to this area as "Uptown". Their primary clique is the 52 (Five Deuce) Bricc Boy Crips, also known as the 50s, the main rivals being the Insane Crip Gang, the Blacc Bandit Crips, Sex Money Murder, and 4 Corner Blocc Crips. Their allies include Mac Mafia Crips and Carver Park Compton Crips. The hood is famous for rappers that made it out such as Jooba Loc, Hitman 50, and Cinco, however, they do not get along due to recent back and forth snitching accusations. Bay City Avenue Housing Projects The Bay City Housing Projects are a fairly sized housing unit built in the early 80s to create living space for the lower-class citizens in Vespucci and surrounding areas. While the majority is black (86%), there are also Hispanics (11%), whites (2%), and others such as Asians (>1%). With an estimated 34% poverty rate, the government has repeatedly attempted to gentrify the area, but these attempts have failed each time due to the owners not wanting to sell their property. Therefore, the kids around the area of Bay City are forced to help out their parents in making money. A few try it the legal way, others pick the wrong path and start to make money by selling drugs, internet fraud, or burglaries, slowly but surely getting connected to the local gang in order to maximize their profits. Operation Break The Bricks The rise in criminality didn't go unnoticed by the Gang Unit and after several drive-by shootings and homicides in the projects, C.R.A.S.H made sure that the original Bay City Brik Boyz went pretty much defunct in the late 90s, several arrests have been made and a large number of guns and drugs have been seized. After C.R.A.S.H dissolved in 2000, the youngins of the pretty much non-existent Brik Boyz began to get back on the street, repping the set actively under the hand of a couple of Baby Loc's. The set is still considered very small when compared to the other, surrounding sets, but it's back on the map, causing havoc around Bay City and the housing projects. Allies and Rivals The Brik Boyz are tightly allied up with the Mac Mafia Crips and Carver Park Compton Crips, their main rivals are the Insane Crip Gang, the Blacc Bandit Crips, Sex Money Murder, Longo 13 and the 4 Corner Blocc Crips, one of the original black gangs in North Vespucci. 19. * Anthony Narvaez was born in Los Santos, he was born in 2006, aging him fifteen years old now, Anthony was raised by mainly his father only, his mother was out of the picture as she was busy getting high and making money, not caring much about Anthony in general, she thought Anthony was a curse laid upon her by god as punishment for her habits. Anthony was raised around the Vespucci area, growing up in a neighborhood with much gang activity and violence he was taught early on by his father to stay away from it all, his father wanted was for him to go to school and study for a good and stable future so he wouldn't have to live down in areas like this and have a good and happy life in general. Anthony's father was employed at a shitty job at the docks, working hard for the most minimal pay, just enough to afford rent and buy food. As Anthony grew up, he was quick to realize that his father's plans weren't going to work as he wasn't the most smartest or brightest, he was doing bad at school, not paying attention much to the teachers and mostly clowning around, not getting the grades his father wanted him to get, it didn't take long for Anthony to be suspended from school, whilst being suspended Anthony was out on the street, chilling it up with the kids and people his father taught him to stay away from but he couldn't any longer, he began becoming involved with the people from the area and started doing other things to make money so he wouldn't feel like a total bum.
  20. Three arrests, multiple guns and $25.000 worth in illegal narcotics seized by the LSPD. by John Qunios and Adam Emamdjomeh | Local 10 | June 16, 2015 After a shooting in Vespucci Beach and the murder of two men on Melanoma Street, various 911 calls have been reported shortly after, which lead to a raid of the gangs frequent hang out spot, a small apartment in Melanoma Street. The Gang Unit had already been investigating the group for several months and was able to arrest three people as a result of the raid. Allegedly, the individuals were two Shoot To Kill Asian BoyZ Crip members and one Suicide Town Crip member who ruled the streets in Melanoma with their respective groupings. In addition to the arrests of the individuals, several ounces of drugs were seized as well as smaller handguns. The Los Santos Police Department estimates the value of the products at approximately $25.000. Two of the found handguns are linked to a shooting in South Central where three rival gang members got shot and killed. But who is the Asian BoyZ Gang and what are they known for? Here is a quick run-down for one of the most violent gang in Vespucci: The Asian Boyz, also known as ABZ, is an Southeast Asian American street gang founded in the late '80s after the Tiny Raskals split up. The majority of their members were Cambodian immigrants who fled Cambodia during and after what's now known as the Cambodian Genocide. now, the Asian Boyz are being held together by a tightknit community of Southeast Asian teenagers and early adults stepping in the shoes of the generations before them. The Cambodian Genocide resulted in the killings of over two million Cambodians in the span of only 4 years. Upon fleeing their home country due to extremely brutal living conditions, refugees settled in the more affordable ghetto hoods in the state of San Andreas, particularly Vespucci. The children of these families were often bullied and discriminated against because of their race. As a result of the constant harassment from the local Hispanic and African American gangs, young Asian boys banded together to protect their own. TRG was the first Asian gang in Vespucci and when TRG split up, ABZ was formed in the late '80s. All known sub-sets of the ABZ gang in San Andreas rep Crips. They're a part of an alliance known as the Suisidal Exotic Asians (SEA) Crips. This alliance consists of Asian Boyz, Suicide Town Crips, Sons of Samoa, and Exotic Family City Crips. They're also known to be cliqued up with Insane Crips and some sub-sets of the 18th Street gang. Asian Boyz gained notoriety for what's now known as the "summer madness." It all started because of a pool hall shooting where a member of the Wah Ching shot and killed Asian Boyz member Kicker. After this shooting, Asian Boyz went on a murder spree which later became known as the "summer madness." The official death toll of the summer madness was 42, however, law enforcement officials think more people were killed. Who is responsible for the founding of one of the most violent ABZ subsets ever? It's believed that after the mentioned shooting and the killing of Asian Boyz members named Daniel N. and James B. a car rode out to the rivals set in South Central, shooting and killing the responsible shooters the same night. The friends earned the respect of the higher-ups, shortly after starting their own crew which is now growing every day and is responsible for shootings all over Vespucci Beach, the infamous Shoot To Kill Asian BoyZ. Several shootings all over Tug Street and Melanoma are being linked to STK ABZ, such as the killing of Krazy Miller Boyz affiliates Victor S., Jordan K., and female clique-leader Vivian H., as well as an old lady with no affiliation to the Krazy Miller Boyz whatsoever, leading to KMB going defunct. W/S Longo 13, one of the biggest hispanic sets and the biggest rival of STK ABZ, was also announced defunct after several shootings and a stabbing in a short period of time, resulting in the main-figures dying, it's also believed that STK ABZ is the main reason for that, however, no arrests have been made due to the lack of evidence. But STK ABZ is not only actively beefing in Vespucci, it's known that they also are responsible for shootings in the area of the Chamberlain Hills where the Rollin 20's Neighborhood Bloods are currently residing at. It's safe to say that STK ABZ is one of the most violent ABZ-subsets that currently exists, if not the most violent one ever. The Los Santos Police Department has since taken steps to prevent upcoming altercations like those that have occurred in previous years. "We hope, of course, that the violence will drop down and that the streets become a safe place for our kids again. Shoot To Kill is known as a very brutal group. Accordingly, we want to prevent the members of the SEA alliance from creating major problems. Nevertheless, we are positive about the future." informed us, Sergeant M. Hernandez of the Los Santos Police Department.
