  2. a boiling point of crack pots, outlaws and prideful americans all in one. this thread follows the documentation of a riverside community living out in the boondocks.
  3. HOPE GARDENS HOUSING PROJECTS Hope Gardens was built in the late 1960s as a response to the need for affordable housing in South Central Los Angeles. It was designed as a high-density community with a mix of multi-family apartment buildings and townhouses, providing a range of housing options for families of different sizes. Initially, Hope Gardens was seen as a beacon of hope for the African American community, which had been struggling with discrimination and housing segregation for decades. Many families who had been living in cramped and substandard housing conditions in other parts of the city were able to move into Hope Gardens and enjoy a higher standard of living. However, in the 1980s and 1990s, Hope Gardens became plagued by drugs and crime. The crack epidemic hit the community hard, and many young people were drawn into low-level street gangs as a way to make money and gain a sense of belonging. Despite efforts by local organizations and law enforcement agencies to address the problem, crime remained a persistent issue in Hope Gardens. Residents often lived in fear of being caught in the crossfire of rival gangs, and many families struggled to keep their children safe and away from the lure of gang life. Today, Hope Gardens remains a place where crime is rampant. Although there have been some improvements in recent years, including increased police presence and community-led initiatives to promote safety and reduce violence, the underlying issues that have plagued the community for decades continue to persist. Many residents still struggle with poverty and lack of access to opportunities, and the legacy of segregation and discrimination that has shaped the community's history continues to cast a long shadow over its present-day reality. Despite these challenges, however, Hope Gardens remains a vibrant and resilient community, with residents who are determined to build a better future for themselves and their families. DEATH IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD Growing up in Hope Gardens, Qualeek Daniels had a talent for basketball that quickly became apparent to everyone around him. He spent countless hours on the local court, honing his skills and dreaming of one day making it to the big leagues. Despite the challenges he faced as a young African American man in a community plagued by gang violence, Qualeek was determined to stay on the right path and pursue his dreams. His family and friends rallied around him, providing support and encouragement as he worked towards his goal of becoming a professional basketball player. But tragically, Qualeek's promising future was cut short when he was caught in the crossfire of a gang-related shooting. He was just 18 years old. His death was a devastating blow to the community of Hope Gardens, and a painful reminder of the toll that gang violence can take on young lives. But Qualeek's memory lived on, not just among his family and friends, but also in the hearts of the many young people in the community who saw him as a role model and inspiration. In the years that followed, his family and friends worked tirelessly to honour his memory, organizing community events and basketball tournaments in his name. And while the pain of his loss never fully faded, his legacy served as a reminder of the power of hope and the potential for greatness that lies within every young person, no matter where they come from. THE DRUG MARKET Despite efforts to address the problem of drug-related crime in Hope Gardens, an open-air drug market has persisted in the community for decades. Located in a secluded corner of the housing project, the market is a hub of activity for drug dealers and users alike, with a constant flow of foot traffic and a sense of lawlessness that pervades the area. Despite multiple gang injunctions and increased police presence in the area, the drug market has remained a stubbornly persistent problem. Many residents in the community are too afraid to speak out against it, fearing retaliation from gang members who control the market and use violence to maintain their power. For law enforcement agencies, the market has become something of a no-go zone, with officers hesitant to venture into the area for fear of being outnumbered and outgunned. Despite repeated efforts to crack down on the market and arrest those responsible, the underlying issues that have allowed it to thrive continue to persist. The result is a community that is deeply divided, with residents living in fear of the violence and crime that are a daily reality in the area surrounding the drug market. While some continue to hold out hope for a solution to the problem, others have resigned themselves to the idea that the market will continue to exist indefinitely, with little hope of change in the foreseeable future. POWER VACUUM In a major victory for law enforcement and the community of Hope Gardens, Maury 'Sandman' Stevens, the 28 year old African-American male known as a prominent figure of the drug trade in the neighborhood, has been taken down in a police raid that marks a significant blow to organized crime in the area. According to police reports, Stevens had been the key player in the open-air drug market that had long plagued the community, controlling the flow of drugs and raking in an estimated $20,000 per week from his illicit activities. However, a months-long investigation led by local law enforcement agencies culminated in a coordinated raid on Stevens' operation, resulting in his arrest and the seizure of a large quantity of drugs and cash. "This is a major victory for the community of Hope Gardens, and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our law enforcement agencies," said the Mayor in a statement following the raid. "We will not rest until every criminal element in our community has been brought to justice, and the people of Hope Gardens can feel safe in their own homes. "While the take down of Stevens has been hailed as a major step forward in the fight against organized crime in Hope Gardens, it has also had unintended consequences. In the weeks since his arrest, there has been a spike in homicides in the area, as rival gangs jockey for position in the power vacuum left by Stevens' absence. Law enforcement agencies are currently working to quell the violence and prevent further bloodshed, but the situation remains volatile, with tensions running high in the community. For many residents of Hope Gardens, the take down of Maury Stevens is a bittersweet victory, one that has brought a measure of relief but also heightened fears about the future of the neighborhood. As they continue to grapple with the fallout from Stevens' arrest, they remain hopeful that their community will emerge stronger and more united in the face of adversity. NEW CREW Hope Gardens has been hit by a surge in violent crime in recent weeks, with law enforcement officials attributing the rise to a new and highly dangerous gang known as the Dopeboys of America (DOA). According to police reports, the DOA is a rapidly rising crew made up of young men from the neighborhood, who have quickly gained a reputation for their ruthless tactics and willingness to use violence to assert their dominance over the area's drug trade. "The DOA is a major threat to public safety in Hope Gardens and beyond," said Police Chief Johnson in a statement released earlier today. "They have shown a complete disregard for human life and have been involved in multiple homicides, shootings, and run-ins with rival gangs. "One of the most high-profile incidents associated with the DOA was the recent murder of 18-year-old Dyonte Moses, who was killed in a drive-by shooting while walking home from a friend's house. According to witnesses, Moses was targeted by members of the DOA, who were driving through the neighborhood in a car with tinted windows. They opened fire on Moses and his friends, hitting him multiple times before speeding off into the night. The murder of Moses has sent shock waves through the community, with residents expressing fear and frustration at the seemingly unchecked violence that has come to define their neighborhood."We can't live like this, it's not safe for us or our children," said Hope Gardens resident Michelle Johnson. "Something needs to be done to stop these gangs from terrorizing our community. "Law enforcement officials say they are working around the clock to dismantle the DOA and bring those responsible for the recent spate of violence to justice. However, they acknowledge that the situation is complex and that there are no easy solutions."We are committed to doing everything in our power to keep the people of Hope Gardens safe," said Chief Johnson. "But we need the community's help. We need people to come forward with information, to help us put an end to the violence and restore peace to our streets."
  4. This thread follows the development & community roleplay behind an upcoming grungy and rundown cop bar. 5. Sandy's Few began working as a loosely knit group of local criminals performing residential burglary, robbery, and theft with an emphasis on "Don't shit where you eat". To begin with, the group did function without a chain of command, money was the deciding factor within the group creating a competitive but sometimes reckless atmosphere. As time progressed, connections were made and bigger, more lucrative business opportunities presented themselves. Members within the group began to realize that having no hierarchy was going to be more of a hindrance rather than a benefit. Discussions took place and decisions were made, a structure of order was implemented. Sandy shores was originally under the thumb of a once great Dixie Family however like most great things, it had run its course and fizzled out leaving a very select few criminal personalities out on their own. Sandy Shores had eventually degraded into a ghost town. A shell of its former self. Those that stayed fought for survival through the lack of business and the consistent robberies from those who reside within the city, looking to make an easy buck from the carcass of what remains. Several residents of this small town began to stand up and take charge in an attempt to bring those that stayed closer together to rebuild what was left to rot. OOC INFORMATION Sandy’s Few operates in ways similar to that of a Dixie Mafia with a heavy emphasis on character development. Not all characters within the faction have to be involved in illegal activities and we welcome those who wish to be a part of this faction's development and community. All recruitment to this faction will be conducted in character. We also have a short section within our discord where a short background for your character must be filed before being considered to join us. If you have any questions, or interested in joining the faction, Reach out to @Meatball
  6. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 45,105 Turkish people live in San Andreas. In San Andreas there are over 10 Turkish-American non-profit/not-for-profit organizations including active sister-city organizations such as Friends of Merzifon, Turkish American Associations of San Andreas (TAASA), American Turkish Associations of Southern San Andreas (ATASSA), Turkish American Business Connections (TABC), Los Santos Turkish American Associations (LSTAA), San Fierro Turkish American Associations (SFTAA), Friends of Anatolia are the first ones that come to mind, some of which are operating with active chapters in different geographic locations as well. The greatest number of the population have settled in Los Santos. Despite the small number of people living in Los Santos, the fact that most Turks choose to live close to each other due to cultural reasons causes the community to seem larger than it is. Therefore, it is possible to see a Turkish butcher and a Turkish hookah cafe on the same street. Vespucci Turkish Community plays a minor role in the Los Santos crime scene in the name of population and activity. Since they are a small group, most of the operations they deal with are small and simple. Prostitution, credit card fraud and small time drug trafficking is the main source of income for the gang. OOC - Aim of this group is to portray realistic lifestyle of a small-sized Turkish-American community that lives in Vespucci, Los Santos. Group will be a closed circle for a while, so there'll be no invitations. Contact @ciano- for any concerns or questions.
  7. 1803 Forum Drive Housing Projects "The gangs of South Central Los Santos claim the lives of many through the assimilation of the young mind; promising power, respect and money to those who embrace their empowering nature. The pressures of living in a crime-ridden neighbourhood are felt by everyone in the area, even those whose willpower outplays the influence carried by the majority of gang members growing up. Those who fall in line with local gangs identify with each other, though not much attention is given to the minority; the juvenile groups that are not content with putting their lives on the line for their local cabals. Children all across the globe idolize gang members and their criminal behaviours, but what about the others? The disconnected kids? The kids you know but don't really know? Give them a passing glance and you'd assume they were outcasts, but they truly are not much different to the easily influenced goons of gang-infested Urban America. " - Garland, J., 2017, "The Culture of Influence: Crime and Urban Disorder in Contemporary Society", University of Alderney Press. Origins - Summer 2022 and onwards... A select group of penniless teenagers in the 1803 Forum Drive Housing Projects exist outside of the localised gangs of Chamberlain Hills, holding no allegiance to neither here nor there. Their existence stems from a history of growing up in and/or around the 1803 Projects, right between the Murder Park Families (MPFB), Rollin 20's Neighbourhood Bloods (R20sNHB) and Harvard Park Brims (HPB). Correspondingly, their culture is one in the same; a heavily blood-affiliated city sprouts blood-affiliated bystanders. If not for the lack of gang insignia sprawled across their skin, any outsider would assume these teenagers are to some degree in league with their neighbouring sets. Be that as it may, their loyalties lie in the knowledge that none of them are interested in the rough life lived by some of their neighbourhood peers. Yet living in such a place treats just any person to the sights of murder, scrimmage and larceny. "Children all across the globe idolize gang members and their criminal behaviours, but what about the others? The disconnected kids? The kids you know but don't really know? " "Give them a passing glance and you'd assume they were outcasts, but they truly are not much different to the easily influenced goons of gang-infested Urban America." While not fully engulfed in the criminality of the area, these youngsters cause havoc in the form of wall-banging and net-banging. There is uncertainty on their ambition in the grand scene of gangland Los Santos, all that is clear is a group bonded through a shared attachment to the art of tagging, mischief and independence. OOC Information The aim of this group is to tell the stories of those in gangland Los Santos unaffiliated to any major set. This is an entirely fictional concept, though the culture we emulate is derivative of that of our neighbours, MPF and HPB. While this is not a gang, this group will undoubtedly cross paths with any number of gang characters, groups and factions and therefore will operate under the "gang roleplay" umbrella term. We are open to all types of character concepts that may offer these stories a more diverse production, though it is important to note that this group, in its foundation stage, is currently invite-only for the sake of preservation of roleplay quality and concept integrity. THIS MAY CHANGE IN THE FUTURE; CONTACT EffPee#5833 @EffPee or Banzy#4055 @MØNEY MØTIVATED for more information on Discord. Credit to @MØNEY MØTIVATED for the thread media.

  9. "What is Blue Water Logistics?" Blue Water Logistics, or BWL for short, is a one of a kind Trucking Company. Our family offers its drivers the best possible compensation and benefits packages in the business. Our beautiful blue family does everything in its power to make sure that its drivers are handsomely rewarded, as we don't just want them to dip their toes in the business, we want them to make a life in it. But maybe they don't want to make a life in it? Well, we don't discriminate! We accept employees on a Part-Time basis, as well! "What can I expect from working for BWL?" We're glad that you've asked. We like when potential employees ask us questions, as it shows they have a keen eye for detail and they care about the future. You don't want to get ripped off, and we don't want to rip you off! Let's outline some of what we offer below. Pay: 93% Commission on Weekdays, 95% Commission on Weekends. Currently we are working on structuring added bonuses, such as when our drivers increase the ranking on their license, as well as bonuses for when our drivers regularly complete an average of 10 deliveries a day over a full week. You heard right, ONLY 10 deliveries a day to earn a bonus! Benefits: The benefits that we extend to our drivers beyond their normal pay is fairly straight forward. We have an Employee of the Month program in which we handsomely reward our best driver over the span of the month. And no, you don't need to be with the company at the start of any given month to achieve this, nor is it tied to the amount of deliveries completed. Our drivers will be issued a company vehicle in which they are able to make deliveries with, insurance and fuel provided. And should some gang member attempt to rob you, we'll make sure that the officers that arrest them make sure their kneecaps have a nice little accident on the way to jail! Not enough? We also intend to host monthly events, such as drift competitions, drag races, and cookouts! All of which has the goods supplied by the company. "What experience do I need?" Close to nothing! Drivers must be 18 with a valid Driver's License and when you come to the company, you will be required to test for your Trucking License ((20 Hours in Game Time, no actual test)), other than that our Supervisors have provided the best possible care for new employees by creating a Trucking Manual. It outlines everything that it takes to be a driver. Need a little extra TLC? We can provide a Ride Along to show you the ropes! "I'm interested. What's the next step?" The next step will be to contact any of the following Team Members in order to apply. If you have any further inquiries, you're also welcome to send questions, comments, and concerns to them. 11. Civil War Post civil war, the Somali capital was referred to as the 'White Pearl', because of its history of beach resorts with white-sand beaches running along its coast. Nearing the end of the cold war, communist Somalia fell into clan warfare, civil war erupting and tearing the country apart. Millions of Somali citizens fled the warzone to settle in stable countries as migrants and asylum seekers, leaving the Somali diaspora scattered across the globe. Los Santos The first Somali-Americans arrived in the early 1950s, working as sea-men in the states. It was not until the civil war began in the early 90s that Somalis began fleeing to the United States in large numbers, settling in states across America as migrants of war, making the U.S. the 2nd largest concentration globally of Somalis outside of Somalia with a total of 300,000 Somalis residing within the states. Attracted by left-leaning politicians and higher standards of living, many newly migrated Somalis settled in San Andrean cities like San Fierro and Los Santos. From the mid-90s to early 2000s, downtown LS became a small concentration of the LS Somali diaspora. Mali Money Boyz (M.M.B) The Mali Money Boyz (M.M.B) are a Somali-American street crew. The crew consists of Somali youth from impoverished households that have turned to crime in attempts to better their living conditions. The Mali Money Boyz operate out of the Fantastic Pl apartment complex, a low-income housing project located in downtown LS. 17. This is the story of Desmond Brown, a 28 year old Jamaican immigrant living in Rancho, where he struggles to pay for a late University degree in Nursing at ULSA while trying to stay positive and strong, as he does his best to make a small difference in a wicked, struggling community.
  18. Procedurally updated story on the main post. Jeremie "Big Guala Bvby#1" Herron https://face.gta.world/guala127baby Alias: Guala Baby - More commonly referred to amongst peers as Guala, Guap and/or Baby guala [gwah-luh] WHAT DOES GUALA MEAN? It's used as slang for "money," often as guala guala. Story so far (pre-context): Jeremie Herron has spent his whole [19 year] life in a Brouge Ave. Housing Unit after being a product of home labour. He exists in a two bedroom household with his younger sister and his mother. Jeremie idolises the trap lifestyle, despite having no desire to jump off the porch into the rap game, he moulds his personality around famous names like Lil Baby, Young Thug & Lil Keed. Living a life with little option, Jeremie put on for the Darkside Neighborhood Bloods from a young age; with selfish ideals to get his own money up, leaving the brotherhood as close second. A natural born hustler like Jeremie is often seen to be flexing to his peers, his neighbours & most recklessly his opps. Jeremie is conceited, despite not being as ready to die for the hood as others, he still exudes levels of ignorance only hoodrats would reach. He sees himself as a top-tier money maker with grade A steelo (style). Don’t get it twisted, most might look at his style and question why he’s wearing such clothes. He thinks his future in the hills within grasp. Back to the flexing, Jeremie is as vain as they get, he is the definition of a walking lick despite not wearing any particularly expensive clothing. He is materialistic, and sees his only motivator as money. Jeremie's only real loyalties lie with his mother and his little sister, he tries to avoid the line of fire so he can always come home to them. In-depth In Character Story:
  19. Little Israel is the unofficial name for the Jewish communities within Los Santos, with the people living widely ranging in income and wealth. This thread seeks to document said communities within Los Santos. There are people from every background in the community, from doctors, policemen and students to thieves, delinquents and robbers. While the Jewish community tends to be more religious than that of other communities, it doesn't stop you from playing any sort of character you want - For a lot of Jews, religion is more of a tradition that is upheld simply to preserve the culture rather than strict adherence to all the rules. Please keep this thread for RP within or based around the Jewish community. If you want to post on the thread and you're not sure, send me a PM.
