Short description: Add more affordable and low-end boats, like the exemples listed below. Detailed description: With the recently released fishing update which completely overhauled the fishing script, I think its time we update our pool of marine vehicles aswell with this. Not with yachts, like my previous suggestion a few months ago, but with affordable low-end boats. These boats make more sense to own for a majority of the population, instead of skipping straight to the rather ''expensive'' Dinghy (which is atm the realisticly lowest end real boat. Maritime Discussion Mega Thread --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello everyone! This is a discussion topic I've made for the Maritime RP in the server. Any input from the entire server is appreciated! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ So, with the summer coming, there will be a fair bit of players going into the maritime sector again like last summer. However, with the new 1.1 version of RageMP and the 1.1 update of GTA:World, the sync on the water has been significantly improved. One of the things improved; you can stand on moving boats! There have already been a few new companies rising up to do sea-bound roleplay, but there has still been a lack of illegal RP in my opnion. I believe that category deserves a bit more attention given they're the niche inbetween right in the middle of cars and planes (planes being quite rare in GTA World). Meetings, transactions, even interrogations or other gruesome purposes. If you sail far enough, it's basically impossible for anyone to stumble upon you. It's much safer to kidnap someone on a boat or do a large weapon or drug deal with two boats in the middle of the ocean than it is to do it near the Strawberry Car Wash. Legally, you can host business meetings or simple getaways and gatherings on boats. You can use them for fishing. You can use them for tours around San Andreas. You can host parties or go diving. There's tons of possibilities.

Short description: Introduce a mod for a small zodiac boat. Detailed description: A vehicle mod for a small zodiac boat, which is a small inflatable dinghy that anyone, any company or agency can buy. They would be the cheapest of boats. Items to add: Either this mod here or the red zodiac boat from this mod pack here. There would need to be a civilian livery that can be colored, but liveries for LSFD, LSPD and Sheriff's would also be appreciated if the respective agencies are interested. How would your suggestion improve the server? Currently there isn't any small boats in GTA (excluding the JetSkI), most being quite large. - General adventure and activity - Search and rescue missions - Access in tight and small water areas (such as the Banham Canyon rapids) - Smuggling drugs and guns in a small 'discreet' boat - Cheap, portable alternative for characters who aren't big maritime enthusiasts but still want water transport Additional information: If possible, a minimum of two player seating - to allow for RP opporunities. But this depends on the limitations of the mods. If we really wanted to make something out of it, produce a script for the boat to be stored inside vehicles such as pickups, trucks, water rescue...etc as an 'item', while despawning the vehicle itself. Then being able to spawn the vehicle at the rear with a command. Players could transport them in their pickups, back them up and spawn them in the water for example. I really apologize if this has already been suggested, and I wouldn't doubt if it was, but I really think this would be a cool addition. I hope I have some original ideas. Description: Add fishing spots in the middle of large bodies of water (or at sea) and increase the chances of getting uncommon/rare fish at these spots to encourage going out there. Items to add: More fishing spots in the water and possibly more fish selling locations along the coast. There's also an opportunity add more fish if you'd like to go in depth. How would your suggestion improve the server? This suggestion could improve the server in multiple ways. I believe this would introduce so many opportunities to add more roleplay. This could add so many possibilities to new roleplay that no one truly does on this server. There could be new factions, new characters, new illegal RP which could add a new department into the law enforcement factions. Additional information: I think a cool idea would be not to make any of the new fishing spots static. Let's say there's only one or two spots in the middle of the water, and about every 45 minutes to an hour it changes, causing you to sail to different spots. This could add some competitive roleplay. However, I think if this were added, more fish selling locations would need to be added. I also think if you add this, maybe add a static spot with a slightly less increase in uncommons/rares in the middle of Alamo Sea (and move the fish selling location closer to Grapeseed to be fair), for the people who don't feel like going to the different spots. Also, let players store fish on the boats, for larger loads when they go to sell. This would encourage players to buy bigger boats with more storage.
