  1. Maybe this one can see C. Warren achieve his investigator potential
  2. We need paid healthcare and its various differences such as Medicaid for low income individuals, and then more premium insurances just as a general money sink in the server. Medical billing irl takes ages though and medical providers do not interact with billing for the most part HOWEVER it does significantly affect patient care irl since some people will refuse to go to the hospital and take whatever basic treatment an ambulance crew will give you because it’s generally cheaper for them to do so. This is a factor FD/PHMC does not have to deal with because traumas from gunshot wounds/stabbings/beatings make up the majority of medical calls on the server and most of those people either let speed run accepting death or Rescue 99 shows up because there isn’t enough ambulances for the call volume. That being said, there needs to be a more interactive injury system to get people to be more invested in doing the medical roleplay and people have listed various ideas for that. Private EMS won’t increase medical roleplay and it seems most people don’t realize that the way Private EMS makes money in the states is purely through people who are very sick/medicaid or getting a contract with a hospital which is something that PHMC has no reason to do since they run their own allied health program. We don’t roleplay hospital to hospital transfers, transfers to skilled nursing facilities, dialysis etc. In reality Private EMS has no place in the server. Personally I think PHMC should do EMT/Paramedic or even EMT/EMT buses as a gateway for people who may not want to do FD or don’t vibe with Fire Medic/Fire EMT culture.
  3. -1, plates are not hard to read irl but are a pain to read in-game and anyone can use this command, anyone can abuse by that logic.
  4. Greco and Barroso, so inspirational
  5. I narcaned a guy last night that was on what was likely heroin. That was you know after arriving on scene with the following done to him after he passed out. 1. Dragged into the bathroom and stripped naked to have water thrown on him. 2. CPR done to him for some reason??? 3. Given milk forcefully. The narcan sweats on him were very very real and after the sweating finished, the vomiting was plentiful. Still RMA'd tho. 10/10 guide.
  6. Los Santos is the greatest show on earth
  7. As stated with the post above me it’s not for a lack of trying that RICO isn’t being used or some form of state level enforcement against organized crime. Talks have happened with it multiple times and it’s fallen through. The only real repercussion to illegal factions are themselves. The law is an after thought. I can’t even remember the last time there was a gang injunction
  8. People forget that LS has been getting roleplayed since SAMP and this is the first major look at east coast roleplay that most people are getting to experience. The east coast style of things lends itself to more variety and different types of things to explore which is why you notice a lot of push for people to fully immerse in that setting. The map also lends itself to be more accessible to see people doing things where as with LS, even with 800 players on, unless you were in Vespucci or in South Central which are on complete opposite sides of each other, you didn't really see many people. On LC, you can go between neighborhoods and see people because of much smaller but dense the map actually is. That and while some people might argue it, the LS map is not a very walkable city where with LC, I can legitimately walk around an entire neighborhood and just run into people with no issue. Randomly walking is how I managed to start up a very cool storyline currently. When the "newness" factor rubs out, perhaps people will return or maybe they just enjoy LC more with some LS on the side for variety. Right now, the community really needs to stop with this weird mentality of it's one server or the other, I don't know why people purposely divide themselves in these lines but considering how many legal v illegal debates we get daily, I'm not surprised by that mentality being prevalent in the slightest. People just gotta stop acting like the LC server being made is a disrespect to their family.
  9. Honestly it feels like too many admins have the "I don't want to deal with the headache of this" or "I don't want to deal with the implications of this report." Now I will say, half of it has to deal with the community itself as, if an admin makes certain judgement calls against members of a faction (I.E a well liked illegal faction or PD/SD), it will be instantly met with intense scrutiny by everyone of the associated factions which is a demotivating point for admins who are volunteers. However in that same breath, don't volunteer for something you don't want to deal with.
  10. I know. My point is that there is a lack of community, it's just you're either gang affiliated or you're gang affiliated in South LS. The amount of regular people in these areas are rare and THAT is the prime crux of the problem that contributes to a lot of LEO rpers treating every single South LS resident like a menace to society. There's no consistent variety of something else to make them think differently even though they REALLY should. Police use community policing strategies to be effective against combating crime but those practices fall short because there is no community, it's just a bunch of people that will eventually turned into hardened criminals, who NATURALLY, will not be prone to having these policing strategies work on them for obvious reasons.
  11. Distrust in the Police is high yet you will still find people actively talking to them and being good mannered individuals towards them. Even see the youth snapping pictures with officers who have a good rapport with the community. I am a strong advocate that it’s an excuse to point at the mistrust of the Police nationwide as the only basis for peoples characters to take some of the illogical actions that they do. As I and even some others pointed out previously, things feel very cop and robbers in South LS because the general civilian population is lower in comparison to other areas where the Police is likely to respond/have a presence in. My general problem is that the ratios between hardened criminals and those that’ll act out in fear and self preservation are skewed heavily towards the former and it creates this weird atmosphere where it feels like people are compelled to flow the pact and all be the hardest stone cold killer who’s only moment of weakness is when the drugs are no longer giving them bonus HP. Overall like @HaminLord has said. Not EVERYONE is like this, just like how not every cop is a robocop looking for action but you do come across these people and it’s in human nature to remember the bad things more than the good
  12. I think the problem is that there are people who are extremely jaded on both sides and auto pilot instead of treating the situations that come to them as it is. I can't recount the amount of times people go "Wow I'm so shocked this person actually roleplayed that." myself included. I think the solution is a lot easier and it was already said in this thread, people just have to be better about letting their OOC bias effect their IC decision making. Both cops and criminals also have to stop being the hardest mfers in the land in a dick waving contest to see who can be the bigger Billy bad ass. These characters should be human first where their emotions and want for self preservation should outweigh the need to look tough. I say this as someone who's mostly done Police roleplay, there are too many Police rpers who are either self inserts or have the human interaction capability of a cardboard box which considering that community policing in the primary tactic of Law Enforcement these days, you can see how having the lack of emotional clarity does not lead to positive interactions. In the same breath though, people who roleplay in gang afflicted areas also have to actually be responsive to community policing efforts. While yes there aren't that many people living in these areas that aren't gang affiliated I.E Community leaders, business owners, etc, who's main want is for the community to prosper, there has to be some semblance of realism in that regard. Community Policing strategies DO work but people have to allow it to work. Not everyone is going to be some iron clad, no snitching, fuck the police, kind of person, it's just not real.
  13. I really love small places that give that local vibe but instead people just build massive interiors and it feels like they just do it to tank your fps with the amount of shit they put in it. PM is really the people for the job since properties are there thing but I agree, it’s pretty hard to just find a place for regular people. I’d argue certain organized crime groups and Asian factions have it way easier for business as fronts since KTown and Chinatown are established. Street gangs have it a little bit rougher cause keeping a casual business open like a corner store or a food place in South LS is like a magnet for someone to get popped. It wouldn’t be so bad if it was just brawls but nah. The last time I went down to South LS on a character casually at a food spot was open, it got shot up within 5 mins of me being there 😭😭😭
  14. This man @sCrax has done nothing more but spit facts in this thread and its sad that despite him straight up telling the truth about how gang culture actually is VS how it is on GTA server, won't actually lead to change because people just want to be the grimiest shooters. IRL, gangs are allowed to survive because the community lets them and doesn't outright out them to the Police but if these gangs are overly violent (like the ones we usually see in GTAW), they'd get turned over real quick. Usually business owners and community leaders would lead on these initiatives. Every single time I've seen people try to roleplay communities in gang afflicted areas on the server, they die in two months because people just want to be robo gang bangers who to quote a notorious gang rper: >Post up and afk >Occasionally tab in to say random shit like >POSTED UP WID THE OMIES CUZZ WHERE THE FOOLIES AT >And when they are bored of afking they get on a torrence 4 deep and cruise around to rob someone
  15. It is impossible to not have a bias towards M gangers when the themselves do not have a realistic expectation for themselves. As people stated, most of these people are usually the ones committing the most heinous crimes (as expected with gang roleplay) but then they proceed to be multiple times convicted felons while never going past the age of 18 OR they stop their aging process AT 18. While aging up is obviously a weird thing in itself when it comes to roleplay continuity, the factions these people are apart of should do their best to try and manage these transitions and they don't. More times than not, if I'm dealing with a character who's a minor and doesn't have a long record and I'm roleplaying that kind of police character at the time, I'll likely drop any extra charges where possible to help facilitate a lesser sentence but the problem becomes, that person then just uses that as a free pass of lesser time and then they go right back out and commit the same crimes again, if not doubly worse. So at what point does my character still go "Well it's only kid" versus "Man, this is a no good criminal who can not be rehabilitated."
  16. I WISH there were more restaurants to go to and while I HATE that it has to be about money, I would rather people working these places get more money than someone who opens bars/clubs everyday. This kind of roleplay is always niche because there's no real incentive to keep it running when someone who COULD be a Chef will make much more money being a bartender or a mechanic or even being semi afk at a 24/7 for multiple hours. Also naturally things like security work also is just more interesting as you've said. The other parcel of the problem is that a lot of businesses are usually used as recruitment tools for Organized Crime. This isn't necessarily an issue on the OCG's part because it's a tried and true method but it does sort of eat into the work force because eventually your 9-5'er is going to possibly make more money illegally. Yeah but what I'm referring to is a much different iteration than what they do now. It is probably a lot more constructive now but it's hard to tell based on what a lot of long time illegal roleplayers have said in this thread. On one hand it seems IFM does a lot to give people what they want but on the other hand it also seems like they're very restrictive once you get to a certain point in your roleplay. While I personally think Honey and Co have been on people, especially recently for poor quality and attempting to loophole IFM decisions, I think it would do them well to give admins a better baseline on how to deal with the illegal populace of the server because it feels like there's a major disconnect between both LFM and IFM and the rest of the admin team but I also strongly believe that's on Management more than the actual sub teams themselves. Overall I'm really glad how responsive you are @Wuhtah. Truly the people's admin.
  17. I think a lot of people have pointed it out, while it isn't too late to ever really fix standards, the current decline is so common place in the average player that most people who do hold high standards have just dropped their own since they feel the staff team doesn't follow the high standards expected of a heavy roleplay server. Like I can understand if someone has a completely clean admin record but its crazy to me that someone can have a near 250 character ajail and get 30 minutes. Are they TRULY going to learn? In my eyes and at least in the eyes of people I've talked to, there is a too much of a sense of "You can do whatever you want" that gets allowed until it reaches a certain point, once you hit that point though, that's when you start hitting the various red tapes on the server. For the most part, the average person who's roleplay never requires them to apply for anything that requires an admin to look at will never really meet this red tape so those people will be generally unaffected by it until they hear from friends who are and sometimes the only get half of the story. In terms of how to actually improve things, it's hard to say until we actually have a set standard of what is acceptable and what is not as a base. Admin discretion while useful is currently at least in my opinion, overused and creates a level of inconsistency that proves to confuse and frustrate the playerbase. It's the literal equivalent of your Mom telling you to wash the dishes and then your Dad sprinting in and calling you an idiot for washing the dishes when you should be taking out the trash. This inconsistency is especially prevalent in regards to illegal factions. A lot of people say IFM is too hands on and too much of babysitters but every single incident I've heard of where IFM was not involved at the start has ended up with these factions getting reported to IFM and someone getting banned because people couldn't be trusted to be fair between factions working out problems OR two factions try to work out ooc issues and end up getting IFM involved anyway because they can't agree with each other. One could say that the solution to this problem is IFM listening to experienced illegal roleplayers who are extremely knowledgeable on the concepts they are talking about but we used to have that and it ended up being a cesspit of toxicity and echo chambering on top of major gate keeping and circle jerkery with supplier roles which apparently still isn't fixed but is also nowhere near as bad as it was previously. The biggest problem with illegal roleplay right now is that there is no IC consequences to being a bad criminal outside of being CK'd and at that point you just re-roll a different concept until you get CK'd again. There's no RICO, there's no gang injunctions and investigative roleplay into these entities is surface level at best where at most you'll get a few stashes raided and few people locked up and that's assuming they don't just shoot a bunch of cops when the raids happen. Then there's of course the problem of a lack of creativity. A prime example of this car theft. Somehow in the year 2022, we're still lock picking cars. I remember giving an idea to someone to use as a scheme for how car thievery works in this day and age and to this day I'm not even sure if the idea was approved, denied or just left to collect dust but the fact it's been almost half a year since that point and I don't even have a clue is telling that most people probably have the same experience that I did just base don replies in this thread alone. Legal roleplay is another kicker. Owning a business up until recently required you to have to spend irl money for people to actually show up. I don't know how effective the new system that was scripted in helps current business owners who do not have Gold+ is rn but before it was pretty predatory. Then for LEO's, the quality in Police roleplay is just so hit or miss because LFM reforms are also hit or miss. LFM will either completely miss the plot entirely on something, not consult faction leaders on changes until they've already changed something or they'll make good changes and be completely receptive but there is literally no in between. As it stands, Banks and company are currently attempting to change this but previous iterations have left a bad taste in LEO rpers mouths. If there is one thing I wish for LEO factions, it's to have the ability to actually make removals of people who stagnate positions in these faction without it causing major issues. Removing inactive people from positions of power in LEO factions is the biggest red tape on the server by FAR and usually a lot of these people that do need to get removed whether they're inactive or not tend to ALWAYS be incompatible with high police roleplay standards every time without fail, refusing to change from how Police RP standards were between 2014-2016. Oh and for the love of god, Legal/"Civilian" roleplayers will complain when cops engage in passive roleplay but also complain when cops immediately jump to go to an action scene. There is actually no winning on that front because the crime rate in Los Santos is dictated by which factions are warring with each other at the time. The past 2 weeks has had the highest crime rate I've seen within the past 4 months because of the amount of unmoderated faction warfare that has been going on that has unsurprisingly led to reports. But as many have said, it's tiresome. Where will the change come in?
  18. Most people who roleplay one ethnic group still hating the other while their characters are running around with the (M) tag are just usually people still portraying Cali gang politics from the 80s-90s when most of those people's characters would be going to very mixed race schools but I digress. I am VERY aware of what good skinhead/Wood roleplay will look like. You already missed the point. I'm talking about the people who take it to extremes where their entire character's identity is just based in being racist. We literally have people running around with swastikas painted on their characters foreheads and just being obscenely racist to some unrealistic degrees. There's a big different between a character having racist ideologies that are portrayed well and people using their characters to basically be the equivalent of the Jim Crowe South in LS in the year 2022. Like come on bro, who is really out here shouting "Day of the rope will come soon" in the year 2022, OPENLY?
  19. X for doubt. Glad you can read my previous posts though. Fan behavior.
  20. Aight let me ask you this question. If you see someone roleplaying a pedophile or a rapist (let's just say we are back in the age where this was still allowed on this server), would you not stop and go, "Ayo bro, that's a little suspect." It is one thing where roleplay is just roleplay and then there's another when the entirety of the account screams "I'm a closet racist". The worst part is, most of y'all don't even know what actual racism looks like so you think half of this is okay LMAO
