Tried touchVPN, same result. I'm pretty sure other VPNs will not solve this. Any other ideas I can try?

Greetings, I'm having problems with connecting to the server due to the connection lost loop. After Googling various methods and trying them all out I still cannot join the server. Things I've tried: - Press Home as soon as the download is done and wait a few minutes (I waited 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes and 15 minutes). - Same as above but then with Shift + tab since I have the steam version of GTA 5. - Press F1 as soon as download is done, press direct connect, F1 and repeat. I'm from the Netherlands and I experienced this issue too. It's been two days that I was camped up with this problem. I tried all the methods (pressing home key when download is done, pressing shift+tab when download is done, press F1 and direct connect etc). None of these worked. Next thing I tried is manually add rageMP (both .exe and updater.exe) to the firewall. This didn't change a thing. What I have done now is I turned off my firewall. Now it appears that I can log in and play. I do not know if this did the trick or it has to do with some
