i think ur missing the point here, its just inconvenient to pay 5k for something that's sometimes required to RP, theres no need for players to waste their cash for a script item that they could be spending on for something of IC purpose

but masks arent always for illegal activity, for example the beard masks

very simple suggestion, why is a mask $5,000 theres no need and its just inconvenient for no reason as a balaclava IRL is what, 10 dollars? Additionally, people who use the beard mask for their customisation, dont want to have to pay another 5000 if they get PKed please lower them
