  1. I was banned on June 28, 2022 by @LilManiac and he was nice enough to give me a second chance and unbanned me about a month later. I've since taken a break from GTAW, and today I went to log into the LS server and it now states that I'm banned and then closes the connection. Although I'm able to enter the LC server without any issues.

My account status is "In Good Standing"... so this must be a mistake.

Yes you can, that is exactly what you have to do. Your death turns into "gang banger 13 got shot up last night" Not " Davis Sptiooni got killed, Oh hey davis! Hoe's it going". Unless it's a CK you go right back to hanging out. You did not die.

That's exactly what I'm saying, when you're PK'd you did not actually die... you were treated for your injuries at a hospital where you in return forget about the events that led up to such injuries.

I mean, as weird as it may sound, you can. That's why there's CK's. If you provoke a faction, they can kill your character permanently. Which is why /usually/ factions dont PK people, they threaten them, beat them up and so on, so that they can RP the injuries and the fear. If the player continues to provoke said faction, they can kill him. That's.. Thats the point.

There shouldnt really be a situation where you get killed by a faction for talking shit or whatever.

But yes. Thats how it works. If you get PK'd by anyone, and meet them again, you just act as if your characters have never met.

Have you ever met an (M) in Davis lol...?

Theres.. Rules.. About Revenge Killing, Coming back to the place of your death and so on. I think you're getting abit confused in all honesty

I'm not talking about Revenge Killing. What I'm saying is if you've been PK'd in a certain gang area for example, you can't just come back to that area even days later and expect for everyone there to forget about you being PK'd; hence why PK's are treated as passively being treated by medical professionals at the hospital.

  5. Just now, AdamZZ said:

No. Again. That story arc is complete. Not only you can't Rp that, the people that did it to you can't RP remembering killing your character. Because that's what a PK is supposed to be seen as; Your character dying. Just from an OOC perspective, it not being perma. - If you get PK'd with a shot to the head, you can't RP being treated. It's as simple as that. Lmao

Your character doesn't just die from an OOC perspective. It has an in-character value, hence why you can't go start shit down in the Davis projects, get PK'd, then come back and try to be buddy buddy with gang members a few days later. When you're PK'd you've been seriously injured to the point that you've been put in a "coma" of sorts temporarily and you forget about the events that led up to it.

  6. 2 minutes ago, AdamZZ said:

Asides from all this. You gotta remember.. This would cause a TON of OOC crying.

The last time I got PK'd.. It was voided due to DM. Imagine for /every/ DM situation /everyone/ making refund requests for the hospital bills. It'd just be a headache for staff.

If you've been PK'd unjustly, you're going to have to make a refund request anyway for all of the items you've dropped - so no... this will not increase any workload on staff.

  7. 1 minute ago, AdamZZ said:

That's not the point; Your character, to an extent, is seen as dead. The RP you had with the people that killed your character, is /done/. From that point forwards, neither party can recognize each other.

The spawning at the hospital thing is literally just a cliché.

That is the point exactly. You spawn at a hospital for a reason. You've been treated by medical professionals passively while not knowing what lead up to your injuries or who has done it.

Government factions don't /need/ scriptwise funding like this. They already get funding, which they can increase through RP- Giving them a cash cow like "every time someone gets PK'd they get a bunch of money" isn't needed.

It's not about players losing more than just their ego that's the problem here. If a new player gets PK'd and they make the money anything significant, like 5k. That player has lost an hour of progress which will, if anything, make them less enticed to play the server. Where as more established players won't care about any bills like this because OOC money is just something thats easy to acquire when you've had a decent amount of time on the server.

The whole thing about free health care is.. Again. It's RP. A player can't RP remembering their injury, cause of PK and so on. They can't remember anything that lead up to their PK. There isn't any Rp to be had there; And if there is, it should be left to the players discretion not a forcible fee.

This honestly just feels like something that isnt needed.

Tell me, where do you spawn when you've been player killed?

  9. 3 minutes ago, AdamZZ said:

I dont see how this would benefit the servers RP to any degree though

It would make being player killed by someone else an actual loss other than ego. Also this will help LSFD with their revenue whether they actually need revenue is something the faction leaders of LSFD should chime in on before anyone looking in on the outside. Not to mention it makes perfect sense to charge a fee as health care is not free in the USA in which San Andreas is supposed to be a part of.

This is not Europe folks, free health care is not a thing in the USA.

  10. Just now, I Took The Risk said:

Why would I pay for me being player killed? How am I supposed to go and roleplay being fee'd for dying, when I'm not supposed to roleplay my past death?

When you're player killed you've passively been brought to the hospital and treated by medical professionals hence why you're still able to continue on playing as that character.

  11. Detailed Description

Yes, another suggestion to raise the cost of living! In the great old USA it costs money to be treated at the hospital. You should have to pay a fee if you're player killed and have the money be transferred to the LSFD's faction bank account. This could also open the possibilities to purchase health insurance, but that's something that would need to be discussed further.

No, -1 to this one, I don't want to spend 50 hours in game just to afford a basic sedan, no thank you, I don't have time for that.

Who said you'd have to spend 50 hours to obtain one? I'm confident that PM / RPQM are very well competent enough to decide how much the costs should be raised.

  13. Detailed Description

It's about time we added vehicle and property taxes, the nominal value of the taxes should be based on the value of the vehicle or property. I'm not sure how to exactly go about this, should taxes be paid hourly and tagged on to your paycheck? Or every 5, 10, 15... or so paychecks in order to not penalize those who are more active than others?

This should help Property Management / RPQM  tremendously as properties and vehicles as people will have to think about purchasing a vehicle or property before doing so as they may or may not be able to afford the taxes whether it be in the short or long term.

Yes another suggestion to increase prices of in-game possessions. Inflation in the USA is currently ~9.1% the highest it's been in over 40 years. I believe we should increase the prices of homes and apartments to reflect upon this. Also there's a shortage in semi-conductors for vehicles which also has caused the prices of vehicles to be raised.

How will it benefit the server?

This should help Property Management / RPQM  tremendously as properties and vehicles won't be as easily obtainable through grinding and whatever other easy methods there are to farm money. Also helps simulate a realistic economy with a valid reason behind it.

  15. You can still work as a mechanic but I believe you will need to find another shop to work at. I highly recommend either Patriot Auto or Zazen-Arts, both of those shops are very active and provide a high quality roleplay experience. The best way to go about getting hired would be to go to their shops and ask to speak with a manager in-game. Good luck man!
