Little Tokyo 小東京 portrays a realistic organized crime group, operating out of the Japanese American district on South Rockford Drive. The group is inspired by the reality of Japanese American citizens living on the West Coast, where over half live below the poverty line. For many, the necessity of supplementing income quickly becomes ambition, and drug trafficking, armed robbery, extortion, smuggling and grand theft auto are all common practice. As members of the organization gather and circulate illicit funds, local business becomes an essential part of larger illegal operations, offering financial deniability and a sense of normalcy to their lives. Local associations are often held accountable under investigation for their grip on housing and social support in the area, though have never been proven to be linked to organized criminal activity. While primarily Japanese American, any Asian American ethnicity is welcome providing portrayal is up to standard. We do not accept legal or first-generation (immigrant) characters, though our Discord is open to anyone roleplaying locally. New characters should be working-class Asian youth between 16-20 years of age, with an American first name and local to the area. We prioritise character development, and new members should not expect to progress without sufficient time.
